Love that you and the editing team left in the leaks that happened while repressurizing the system, and the problem solving process that you went through. This is why you've been my go-to during my own renovations. Always appreciate the content, Jeff. Keep on making us all better and more knowledgeable.
I know one *technically* doesn't need a bypass on the cartridge filter, and I didn't have one at first, but I recently added one, and find it useful...
Man I wish u did more videos on well systems I have a well it's old the system is old and tje only two well companys around here try to rip everyone off.....rust is a issue and egg smell I've done enough research to know there trying to rip me off ome simple example is them telling me I cant just replace the beads I have to replace the whole entire system for 5k+
I'd be too nervous to mess something up to work on the plumbing. But I seriously appreciate a video like this that allows me to understand what's going on. I especially like that you left those leaks in and the very realistic moment of frustration, instead of pretending like everything just magically works.
Way too expensive and am super surprised you are not telling followers how to build one. Extremely simple project. If you are on well then 20 micron to 5 micron to 1 micron. 10” x4.5” filters + filter housings and all hardware can be be purchased off amaz0n for $200 or a little more.
You need minerals. These systems need to be carefully curated. You need to test your source water, whether it's from the local wtp, or if it's from your own personal well. Always know what is in your water. Just buying a RO system can lead to health issues. If you go RO, make sure to remineralize to healthy levels. Or don't, and probably suffer. it's a personal choice.
Really all you need is an under sink filter in the kitchen. It's like $50 and does the same thing. The filter canister lasts 6 months to 1 year. No need to filter the shower toilet water.

It is nice to see a smile on a man's face when he starts a new DIY project. Seeing that same smile when the project is done is unbelievable.
I always have one leak no matter what. Installed a whole house pump the other day everything was neat and tidy one tiny leak
Don't over tighten those canisters! Just enough is best, cuz when you go to open them in 6 months, they've become VERY tight for whatever reasons.
Add a screw on that plywood board you attached the cartridge to and hang the wrench there.

Happy to share the real. we don't have to be perfect every time....just able to make it perfect every time. Cheers
Perfect Timing, us too!! Yay🎉🎉
You're the team we go to first. Thanks!

Just keeping it real. You can do it and not need to hire a plumber. Cheers!
I'm really off those flex hoses after one mfr sold a few gazillion faulty ones a few years ago...oy.

It's an affiliate video my guy. He got it for free so he's gonna flex it on UA-cam.
looking for recommendations for a system. not interested in installing myself!! But you are the best
you can do it. save a ton of money!
Hey Jeff. In your sound proofing video, why do you sonos board the exterior walls? And how do you sound proof vents.
sound proofing is more about privacy then sound elimination. Cheers!
التخفيضات وهمية فعلا لان ممكن يكون الشيء سعره الطبيعي١ 100$ مثلا بيكتبو أ نص السعر للبيع ب 100$ والأغلبية بتصدق إنها اشترت ب نص السعر
Way too many minerals in my water. I'm thinking about this idea. Very informative

This system appears to be an ultra filtration system, so it won't remove any minerals. Probably goes down to .04 micron filtration.
Glad it was helpful! maybe have a pro test. CheerS!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Great video I'm slowly pulling away from doing crimps or shinch fittings and going to expansion
DEFINITELY BETTER. CRIMP IS A GREAT DIY.
Looks like carbon filter system. So it will not remove minerals just chlorine, color and odor from water
Good install !
The city does most of the work ...for more robust systems talk to the online experts. Cheers!
This is great, any more videos on the forever home coming soon? Looks like you've been busy with it.
all the videos are coming this winter. Cheers! Going live this spring!
Why sediment filter after the carbon filter. I would think you would want it after to avoid filling that carbon filter with sediment
Adjust your wrench correctly.
Oh great it’s just an advertisement
These water treatment guys seem kinda overpriced, and skimpy with real info on the website...

@@TD75 You can't make blanket statements-it totally depends on your water quality and what you want to achieve.
wrapped in reverse.
Cheers rookie!
Why so much effort to flush? Hook it up, flush through the bath faucet.
he doesn't have any other faucets installed yet.
