Aye. Skinfolk ain't always kinfolk and lot of morons who find your FUBU vids are gonna say and will keep saying that you're turning on your own people for using your Platform to speak up but you're not! The Scammers and Shady Influencers are the ones backstabbing and kneecapping! Also, my boy Coffeezilla quickly taught me that anyone affiliated with Shark Tank were shady after he made videos on Kevin O'Leary and Mark Cuban. I figured that birds of a feather were flocking together (or rather fucking shit up together) so I put my guard up. It didn't take long for my own research on Daymond for me to find the dry rot underneath the coat of paint. AntiScam/AntiMLM Content saves lives every day. I'm glad the Almighty Algorithm helped me find you. I've already shared you with my younger siblings in our Discord to keep them safe from BS.
I've dealt with a lot of accusations of being anti-Black and "turning on my own", but these people are not my own. what they're doing is pure evil as far as I'm concerned, and I'm sick of us trying to be like every other rich person when we get a little clout.
It baffles me when you get accusations for turning on your own when those folk are turning their own people into commodities without considering they're using the 'hey you can trust us, we kin' to manipulate their own community. The scammers are the ones turning on their own. It's always bothered me with mlms aimed at women. I regularily have been told I don't support women and I'm a bad feminist because i won't support mlms.
Oh no!!! I just took Teri's Trade and Travel course last week because she was featured on Anthony Oneal's channel. Thankfully, it cost $97 which still is no small amount of money for me. The 5 day course was more like an introductory kinda thing; felt like they were giving you an appetizer to the real full length thing. I can attest though, that the course really emphasized emotional decision making and after looking at a few minutes of the second day (they had "technical issues" sending the link on the first day) I felt like I had been scammed. It was a hard lesson on how effective parasocial relationships are and how many celebrities/influencers use them to their advantage. Thank you for the content though! This vid hit home for me.
glad you didn't go any further! that's why i make these videos, to inform ppl before they make large financial mistakes. sometimes we pay a little to learn valuable lessons though.
I've been studying and trying to master day trading for a few years now. There are plenty of free channels on You Tube to learn from. My favorite is The Inner Circle Trader, though he has a lot of videos and is very long winded (he's not for everybody). I also like Stacey Burke Trading. Just mentioning those 2 should open up a world of others til you find someone with a strategy that works. And as far as the psychology of trading goes, check out Pat Bailouni and Rande Howell. I do think success in day trading is possible, but not as quickly as some (or a lot) people claim. It's more mental than anything.
I watched her UA-cam channel. I had a similar experience with someone else on social media. I took a first-time home buyers course and it was so silly. I already have good credit and pay my bills on time. I was amazed at how this person charged $50 for basic info. I signed up for the course because she made it seem it would be in more detail. I would like to know the steps to get preapproved, the best places to buy, etc. I might have taken the course because I felt fomo. I also heard about people who pay for digital downloads or material and never receive them.
Yes Anthony is wack for having her on the show a second time!!! She must be giving him kickbacks. I saw through her grift, don’t let the soft spoken bs fool you. I’m glad you didn’t purchase her actual course ranging 5k-10k. Sick behavior.
Trading, absolutely not. take 500 or thousand dollars and start a brokerage account at Robin Hood. Buy some dividends stocks, and just simply reinvest the dividends. Study and read charts every day you don’t need these fake gurus.
Cam never disappoints! One thing life taught me is that “all skin folk ain’t kinfolk” and someone’s phenotypic presentation has NOTHING to do with their intentions and character.
In a way that was Martin’s dream, that men will not be judged by the color of the skin, [whether positively or negatively] but by the content of their character.
Anytime someone tries to sell you a course, that’s a thousand red flags to me! A year or so ago I received a flyer in the mail to attend a Daymond John course starting around $498. You’re better off taking a few real class in community college.
It’s crazy how much trust people get because their famous. Especially these celebrities that can get a bunch of red flags overlooked because they are “just like us” and trade that level of trust to fill their own pockets.
Nothing upsets me more than seeing people of your own culture trying to scam and take advantage of you. It’s hard to stay optimistic and operate with the intention that every party will operate in good faith. It’s always been this way but it seems like the more we progress through time, the more we need every tiny detail outlined in a contract that’s triple checked by lawyers. Just sad.
As someone who's worked in finance for only a couple years, I've already seen so many people who've fucked up their lives day trading. It's a bad idea for the vast majority of the population. One of my coworkers spoke to a client who had somehow gotten themselves a ~700k margin call due in a few days, and my coworker had to tell her essentially "you made your bed, now lie in it and pay the margin call."
Personally got scammed by Teri Ijeoma's trade and travel course. I learned more from a $10 book. Thanks for taking the time to make this video because her and everyone else that scams the community need to be reviewed and exposed.
I'm a CPA in the US. It's sad seeing how others throw away their ethics(if they have any) at the expense of others. Ignorance is one thing, but knowingly doing so is another Great video Cam
I used to believe in these things. I used to follow the influencers "living the dream" of traveling and living in cheaper countries, while working online. The online nomads and whatnot. I used to dream that would be me. Luckily I was always too broke/didn't have enough access to actually take the plunge and try it. I still dream of traveling, but I'm a lot more grounded now thanks to content like this. You, Munecat, Jawn Louis, etc., have helped me tune my spidy senses to BS.
To the non-black folks who are watching this, this is what "woke" actually means. Being aware of those around you who don't have your best interests at heart, and to not get caught sleepin'. Stay woke, fam. Or to use more words: "Read More, Assume Less, Believe nothing without proof."
Great break down of Daymond. I saw that episode of the bbq guy and their story regarding him. They were definitely taken advantage of and lied to. Daymond is a conniving snake. I appreciate all the hard work you put into these Deep Dives. Excellent work sir!👏🏾👏🏾
In just a couple of months you've been cemented as one of my top favorite content creators of all time. Really it was in a matter of hours after the mlm episode got recommended on my homepage. I watched that, the payday loans one, and the lottery, which had just come out and was what really got me hooked. And you've continued to deliver ever since! There's a reason that you're gaining traction like this. Your work really is remarkable. You deserve it man.
thank you Elise, i can't even tell you how often this work makes you doubt yourself or your ideas. "of all time" is not something i take lightly; it's incredibly validating and assures me that i'm having a real impact.
To note: the deals you see on shark tank are just handshake agreements. After the shows over those deals will change or fall through completely depending on the due diligence.
It is crazy that the show would allow Terri to be on a show that is nationally televised and not vet to make sure she is legit. The fact that so many outlets supported her does not make sense. It makes her come across like she is legit.
I agree but at the same time “day trader selling course” is all the vetting you need… to know it’s a complete scam. 99% of day traders can’t beat the indexes and 99% of people selling courses are scammers just trying to make money off people’s desperation. This should be just as obvious as the “pay in apple gift cards to remove pc virus” scams.
Another great episode my guy. If you feel so inclined, a deep dive into megachurch pastors would be highly relevant for our community; however, it would likely bring a lot of scrutiny your way 😅.
Good on you for educating people on these scams the false hopes they provide. Its usually the most vulnerable that fall for them, making it more tragic.
I can't get enough of you man. Your integrity and insight into these topics is what keeps me coming back. I love how you encourage your audience to critically think not just about the topic you're bringing up, but also yourself. I also appreciate the step-by-step way you explain how these scammers profit off of dreamers and desperate people. You've saved people hundreds of thousands of dollars and from emotional distress with your educational videos. You're a real one.
the love is felt and reciprocated. this is the best platform i have to spread knowledge and try to help people avoid these traps. these people are actively making the world a worse place and we gotta hold them accountable.
Thank you for posting this. A few years ago, I signed my child up for a Daymond John summer camp at one of the local colleges. The course was advertised as if the children would have some type of interaction with him. It was costly. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When we arrived, there was no Daymond and no interaction with him at all. Not even a video conference. The course was just named after him. We felt duped. I quickly asked for a refund and told them that it was false advertisement. On UA-cam, there is a video that says he surprise some of the students that took his course. Again, just another selling tactic that maybe one day your child too will have an opportunity to speak to him. Save your money. Teach your own children entrepreneurial skills. People like him make money off exploiting others.
Shady Influencers! You got sooo many people to get to in the black scam-o-sphere I'll be watching this series closely. Him500, 19Keys, Umar, Saint & the Sinner. They all need to get it.
Great work. Powerful close! Your passion for your subjects keeps me coming back. I had no clue about either of these & it’s so frustrating to see someone like a founder of FUBU turn around & screw those who are trying to come up like he did.
I knew Damon was going to sabotage Bubba's business. Damon doesn't really like to work with black business owners. Sometimes he feels like he is pressed to do it when he is on the show as if he would feel some kind of embarrassment for not doing it because he's black. But I would rather he didn't. When I see black business owners on Shark Tank, I'm always happy that he passes them over.
@@CamJames I saw that episode. I knew he was going to sabotage him. We haven't heard any lawsuits from the other Shark Tank members, which gives me pause. Is Damon truly a business man? Bubba's Barbecue was a winner, and he made it a loser! Your video was great because it provided some more context. Thank you!
@@divinebynature7056 It seemed like when there was a black business owner, he vacillated. If the person looked like a winner, he didn't seem to have the courage to take on the project. It would be a lot of work to manage at the higher level. When the person still seemed like a winner, like Bubba, it would take the kind of work that he would be jealous of and then sabotage. Daymond literally shut this man's business and reputation down with the cease and desist or something like that. Bubba had heart and an excellent idea, and I think Daymond was jealous from the start, especially putting an inexperienced person on it who was also a fraud. No black person should do business with Daymond John.
Dope content, @Cam! Cover Jay Morrison next. Lost $11 million of black investor money with Tulsa Real Estate Fund during 2018-2023, literally the hottest times for real estate!🔥
The predation of marginalized communities by the very marginalized people is a hard hit to take, and a reminder that privilege and power is intoxicating, and everyone is vulnerable to it. I remember when i got kicked out at 17 and became homeless, having come from a troubled home (putting it lightly) i idealistically assumed that nobody was gonna be assholes anymore. We're all poor, we all have a common enemy, why would we steal and fight from each other? The realization that capitalism infects everyone, even those at the bottom was a hard pill to swallow.
You are fresh breath of air! We need people like you to keep it real & do the grunt work to highlight these financial vampires! Much respect young brother! Keep going…just shared this w/my hubby based on the lady scammer because we actually watched her not that long ago.
I'm so glad the algorithm recommended your videos. I've learned so much watching you talk about this stuff, and I'm glad people are noticing your work!
If anyone is still buying courses/classes/books from these “influencer gurus” then they deserved to get scammed so they can learn the hard way bc apparently bc doing just a little research about these types of people/businesses they would see it is a scam. And to the younger generation spend more time and/or talk more with your elderly relatives bc they def need some protection from these scumbags
I just want to thank you for having subtitles! It really helps my viewing experience, especially with the chapter names, as I find them hard to read but aesthetically pleasing.

Solid video. Stay on these grifters NECKS. I wish there was some kind of way that you can have everyone scammed by these frauds sign a form of losses, and throw it to an attorney for a class action.
Man, I spent like 2 hours yesterday just watching some of your last episodes. Incredibly high-quality stuff with content actually worth taking seriously.
I watch anti scammer content to relax and do chores so I'm excited to binge your content. You've got a relaxing cadence and voice and very informed takes!
I love this while "Miami Vice" vibes. Love it and glad too see someone calling out Damond whatever from FUBU and shark tank. That whole show is a scam. Maybe make an episode about Shark Tank eventually. Haven't seen anyone shed light on the terrible offers they make business on the show and how they'd never get offers like this from real investors etc.
That really bums me out about Al Baker. He was one of my dad's all time favorite players from Baker's college days. I had no idea Baker had to go through all that. So many financial predators out there.
There was a store back in the day called Mr rags and the tags they'd put on the fubu said Samsung/fubu and it would confuse the hell out of me. Thanks for bringing this up.
I found this video, and you at large, by way of trying to learn more about the Bubbas Q ribs story. Most of the mainstream reporting didn't go into the post-Shark Tank business plan changes involving Nate among other things. Your reporting, research, and production are slick as hell, and I'm definitely going to follow your stuff along with my other favorite skeptictubers like Coffeezilla.
As a fellow content creator I just wanted to drop a note to say how impressed I am with your research, delivery, and enthusiasm. I have subscribed and I will continue to watch. For those out there considering starting a documentary/news/social issues channel, keep this blue print of a video in the front of your mind. The only thing I could find a small amount of fault with was the "mic drop" scene. :) It was a little on the nose. Again, well done!
Great video, loved hearing Daymond John getting called out. I watched Shark Tank for years but saw Daymond do some scammy stuff in more recent years online. Was interesting to see how far back his shenanegans go, I had no idea. Keep pumping out this great content man! You're on a roll. Your sports betting video was also quite enlightening. Maybe you could do another video about scams, that seems to be getting you a bunch of clicks on the algorithm. One idea I thought of that you could do for a video would be BS car loans and dealership fees. The amount of extra costs they tack on for a purchase is insane, and they'll destroy people on interest if they don't know what they're getting into. I personally always buy used cars, and get my lending from Credit Unions for much lower rates. Just a thought though if you're running out of ideas, I'm a business person not an entertainer so take it with a grain of salt haha. Hope to see more soon!
I just figured out what I think I find so captivating - beyond just your persona and the content both being top notch, the editing and overall cinematography is so thoughtful and well done. You have a Style, and it's such a good one!
I salute you and so happy I found your channel. I stopped watching a bunch of these side hustle and let’s make money influencers because I realized they were scamming grifters.

@@somaadina8102 Teri is a hybrid Nigerian. It pissed me off when I heard she is charging $5000K. Whats crazy is all her content is online for free, lol
Man the people need this channel. So much of life is people tricking other people into doing things
absolutely agree, it's constant deception as if they can't earn money themselves
What about the “Hotep Hustlers”?
@@CamJames the only color they identify with is green 💵
NOTHING. very well said. thanks for the love!
In a way that was Martin’s dream, that men will not be judged by the color of the skin, [whether positively or negatively] but by the content of their character.
"anytime someone is trying to sell you the secret to success - YOU'RE the secret to their success!!!" BARS!!!!

@@CamJames indeed I checked out your music you nice bro
thank you fam!
Anytime someone tries to sell you a course, that’s a thousand red flags to me! A year or so ago I received a flyer in the mail to attend a Daymond John course starting around $498. You’re better off taking a few real class in community college.
It’s crazy how much trust people get because their famous. Especially these celebrities that can get a bunch of red flags overlooked because they are “just like us” and trade that level of trust to fill their own pockets.
so much trust, for no reason at all. you do not know these people and they're not your friends.
*they’re famous.
Just sad.
you can never be too careful tbh. it's a nasty world out here when money gets involved.
This part! I see it as them trying to get a seat at the table of whiteness and continue to sell “the American dream” knowing how desperate people are
Most black guru or activist are scammers
@@staceysherelmfao even when your own people scam you, it's the white man's fault 😂🤦🏿♂️
As someone who's worked in finance for only a couple years, I've already seen so many people who've fucked up their lives day trading. It's a bad idea for the vast majority of the population. One of my coworkers spoke to a client who had somehow gotten themselves a ~700k margin call due in a few days, and my coworker had to tell her essentially "you made your bed, now lie in it and pay the margin call."
whew. that's real pain right there. day trading wreaks serious havoc on a lot of people and this is just one of many nasty examples
My buddy did himself in for 250k in a week. Parents had to remortgage their house to help him pay it off. He had a degree in finance and banking!
Honestly, if you let people bet on business like you can on sports teams, that would probably still be less risky than day trading
The fact it’s even allowed to go that far in the red on margin should be criminal.
As a finance guy, this reads false, no one is allowed to trade on margin with a BS. Certainly no $700K without multiples to cover it.

You, Munecat, Jawn Louis, etc., have helped me tune my spidy senses to BS.
i love to hear that. i'm here to help inform and just want to have an impact in my short time on this rock. we gotta stay grounded and informed.
Are you me? I also gave up on the delusional hustle. Thankfully I never spent $500 on a course

After the shows over those deals will change or fall through completely depending on the due diligence.
yep, it's a fair expectation. that's not even what he did wrong
It is crazy that the show would allow Terri to be on a show that is nationally televised and not vet to make sure she is legit. The fact that so many outlets supported her does not make sense. It makes her come across like she is legit.
these shows do almost no vetting. they take clout and popularity at face value.
He said if anyone is trying to sell you the secret to success, then you are the secret to their success! That is a gem.

100%, he's known to do this for multiple seminars with his name on it smh
10 episodes in and I still love the intro. Thanks for such great, informative work.
this is good to know, i keep trying to keep it fresh lol

Great work. Powerful close! Your passion for your subjects keeps me coming back. I had no clue about either of these & it’s so frustrating to see someone like a founder of FUBU turn around & screw those who are trying to come up like he did.
thank you for real. it really gets to me how these people victimize anyone, at any cost.
I knew Damon was going to sabotage Bubba's business. Damon doesn't really like to work with black business owners. Sometimes he feels like he is pressed to do it when he is on the show as if he would feel some kind of embarrassment for not doing it because he's black. But I would rather he didn't. When I see black business owners on Shark Tank, I'm always happy that he passes them over.
it's a shame when we're happy the Black man passes on Black business owners
@@CamJames I saw that episode. I knew he was going to sabotage him. We haven't heard any lawsuits from the other Shark Tank members, which gives me pause. Is Damon truly a business man? Bubba's Barbecue was a winner, and he made it a loser! Your video was great because it provided some more context. Thank you!
@@reginayfavorsMaybe that is the whole point. Does Daymond have a Massa?

👏🏽👏🏽
I feel ya, bro. It’s easier to assume everyone’s an asshole. Unless shown differently.
real. those at the bottom wanna be the ones at the top more than anything. Not the middle, the top.

I found this video, and you at large, by way of trying to learn more about the Bubbas Q ribs story. Most of the mainstream reporting didn't go into the post-Shark Tank business plan changes involving Nate among other things. Your reporting, research, and production are slick as hell, and I'm definitely going to follow your stuff along with my other favorite skeptictubers like Coffeezilla.
i really appreciate that. it's passion that drives all of this, I'm just irritated.
Hope to see more soon!
glad this had value for you fam! I appreciate the suggestions as always, I'm sure I'll be able to incorporate that somewhere.
