  • In this video I show you how I created a mobile work station / office in the cab of my 2022 Thor Sanctuary 19P. These modifications can definitely be replicated in many B-class RVs including the Winnebago Revel, the Airstream Interstate 19, as well as some American Coach, Pleasure-Way, and RoadTrek RVs. Remote working while camping is possible with Van Life!

    Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
    Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
    Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a better and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
    However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:
    RV tours / walkthroughs
    Camping destinations
    Hiking
    RV modifications & DIYs
    RV Cooking
    And much more…..
    So I invite you to come along with me on this ongoing RV journey.

    Great idea to maximize space. One step I would mention is to check that the outlet has power prior to putting the refrigerator back in place, just in case.

    A great mod. I’ve been looking at this type of setup, since I work from home, if I want to purchase a Sprinter. This is a great setup, low cost, and efficient. You make things that are practical, also you add the confidence that people need to step out on their own, and do that DIY. The more I look at a Tranquility/Serenity, and your modifications, the more I’d like to make the investment and get one. Life is short, live the adventure and enjoy. Thanks RM!!!

      Thank you so much for the compliments. I also work from home but I am planning to spend some time on the road this year and want to still be able to work. This set-up is more comfortable than my home office and will allow me to work from just about anywhere. You are right, life is short. Thanks for Watching!

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 роки тому +1

      Gerry, Thanks for the compliment and thank you so much for following my channel. You could split the wires going to the outlet and tie into them with wire nuts and electrical tape, you could connect your wires to the same terminal poles inside the microwave outlet, and possibly even add an adaptor that converts the one outlet into 2 and then add an extension wire from that outlet. Of course, you need to consider the safest way, use the proper connection equipment, and use the proper gauge wire for the application. Thankfully, computer screens and chargers use very low power so I am not concerned with the current load on the circuit. Thanks for watching!

    Wow, nice mod. I've been wanting to ask you the pros and cons of a cassette toilet vs blank tank? What's your opinion?

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 роки тому +5

      I actually prefer the cassette toilet now that I have used one. For me, with a black tank I did not like connecting & disconnecting the sewer hose, nor did I like rinsing it out, or storing it. With the black tank I was always worried about putting toilet paper in it and was never sure it was fully cleaned out. Obviously, with a cassette there is no sewer line to connect / disconnect, clean, or store. I am no longer worried about toilet paper as it is easy to clean everything out. They are easy to pull-out and dump, however, the cassette can get heavy when close to full and you never want to overfill the cassette or you will have a messy situation. Thanks for watching!

    Hi there, do you have a video for the install of the lagun table up front and did you ever get the lagun table in the back set up? If so, do you have a video for that? I have the exact same van and would love specs on which lagun table mounts and brackets to order! Also, do you have information on how to rewire the microwave and potentially the monitor (another idea I will be stealing). Would also love some links to the mesh you used for your blanket, the mesh for the chairs in the back, and what you used for the collapsible under cabinet basket if you can share. I've gone through all your videos (I think) and these are the remaining questions I have.

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Christine, I am glad you are finding my videos useful. I do not have a video of the installation of the Lagun table however I would be glad to send you some pics showing how I installed the base plate. The Lagun table I used I purchased on Amazon and I have included a link in the description however if I were to do it again I would purchase an actual Lagun brand table and not the Amazon knock-off. I did not install a rear Lagun table as I did not need it. As for the wiring, I ran a wire from the TV outlet to the microwave outlet and then one to the monitor outlet. This can easily be done by removing the rear wall of the wardrobe, replacing the outlet with a better one, pass the wire from the outlet through to the cassette toilet area and then behind the refrigerator and up to the microwave outlet (I also replace the microwave outlet with a duel outlet). Send me an email and I'll send some pics. Thanks for Watching!
