I liked the tail lights better than mine...BUT loved my front grille better. He had 396 badges on his like I had on mine...but he had a balanced and blueprinted 454 in it pushing a little over 450 horses. His problem was he couldn't keep it on the road much because he was going through a lot of clutches and other crap. 🤣🤣 P.S. I wound up selling mine for a song so I could get a 71 Trans Am with the 455. The car I loved the most. But marriage and kids change things. 🤣🤣🤣
Had a 71 elcamino that I never got to finish because some A-hole pulled out in front of me and fucked up the front end.ended up only getting 6gs from his insurance but that was the colors I wanted.makes me jealous to see any of the chevelles...I like them all up to 72 then they jagged them up.ty
I have a 70 SS 396 12-1cr, but even with a long duration high lift solid roller (679 lift) cam, no choke 950 double pumper Holley it idled fine after 2 taps on the throttle cold start 30+ yrs ago. This car needs more idle air through the transfer slots. Or as once done in those old days, tiny hole drilled in each primary throttle blade. Newer race carbs have improved to where you don't need to do any drilling. But It's been quite a while since I've been in the tuning game.

In the mis 1960’s when I rode in the back of my moms station wagon, my game was to fine all the cars with dual exhaust. I already loved that. Those cars looked different and sounded different as well.

Only reason I can see pulling into a garage is, you don’t want your other half to use it, and with a car that doesn’t have the outside right mirror, and your other half can’t back the car out, because she can’t see!

There was a Nam Vet nextdoor to me when I was 5 that had a 71'/charcoal . Same sound, lumpy cam.... My bedroom window was next to his driveway. They drove that hot rod every day in summer 🤍

When I was younger and had a 427 with sprint car mufflers and hooker headers with a radical motor and m22 ford rear end oh the sound was buitifull and my parents always knew when I got home from work because they couldn't stand the sound great times to you youins enjoy your life too the fullest and be safe because you never know what is going to happen in the future ide give anything to have my mother alive still and my 57 Chevy Truck.
