Nice video, You had a little bit of adventure out there :D . I lost my DJI Avata in Mallorca , but it was not so lucky as you , it was a 9 hours hike and injuries, almost dies over there climbing there and at the end it was absurdly impossible to find =))))))), lucky me I filmed the adventure and I will be dropping a video about it soon showing me struggling like hell to find it :))), your video reminds me of that adventure , thanks :)
It’s more about the battery left than the actual number of times tbh. In my case, it triggered auto RTH twice and I cancelled it both the times. The third time though, it didn’t let me cancel. The drone starting descending and I had to keep it moving forward to bring it as close as I could while it landed.
Important lesson learned in battery management and taking notice of the on screen warnings ⚠️ Always remember with a lipo battery the last 50% of your battery the discharge rate drops off a lot quicker then the first 50%. Hence why you noticed it required more trigger pull to go the same speed. You should really be thinking of coming back and landing with a comforatable 10% buffer over the forced landing point which I believe is 20% on the Avata, so ideally aim to land with at least 30%. Remember also wind speed, the ambient temp, how high and how fast or acrobatically you've been flying will all affect your flight time. Great video just a shame you had to ditch it in snake central⚠️😲😁 Not everyday you see a kangaroo flying your drone, well not in the UK anyway! 😳 I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another Mini drone pilot?
Great piece of information! I didn’t really even think about the discharge rate past any % charge left. This makes a lot of sense now that how it went from say 25 to zero in about 3 minutes. I’d love to connect. I am always on the look out for other users in the area mate. It’s a hobby better enjoyed in a group.
There is many things to learn from traditional FPV, one of them being battery management, where a FPV quad will just fall from the sky... one the other hand, fails etc make for entertaining youtube. Buy lots of batteries, have lots of short flights. Don't fly them to empty.
Fantastic way to put it. I agree. I have ordered a few batteries and will try not to run the batteries dry moving forward. Thanks for the like and the sub!
His. It's easy, just respect the low battery warning. Because flying the battery to a low percentage is unhealthy for it and can damage it. Just get more batteries if you want to fly more, but not by not returning early enough.
I had to do a simar mission with my mavic pro when it shut down due to power. All I had was the last image transmitted on the goggles, I had to look for the exact pov to locate the drone. It was about 400m away from me on a patch of land being developed for houses. The place was like a quarry and had hills of dirt and holes everywhere.
Drone wasn't even at it's 40% capacity. I was using the N mode with Motion Controller. You can flick it into M mode with the manual controller and watch it go!

You legend! Cheers mate!

I know mate, haha. Sorry to hear about your Avata. I have now popped an Airtag. It's hard to find these little things if the battery is dead.
Haha I love not wanting to look suss part. I do the same thing whenever I'm on the side of road!
Haha! Oath!
Which LUT did you use? Love the colors
Hey, no LUTs - Just some grading and basic adjustments in Premier pro. Cheers!
How you like the Avata so far? I have one and I really enjoy this drone I also have the DJI FPV new friend here buddy 🤝
How many time did it takes before force landing?

View are aesthetic. The kangaroos make it more authentic 😍
Cheers legend!
Voo incivil meu amigo, like do Brasil !!!!
Saúde companheiro!!
Does the avata go faster with the motion controler then the reg one
Should be slower with motion controller as full manual mode wouldn’t be an option I don’t think

Whose fault is it?

Exactly what Schweizer said, respect the battery. It was my fault that I got distracted and kept flying.
The best call is to buy extra batteries.
120 meters is not that far, imagine there's a crocodile 🐊 in the creek.
@@twiume4830 120 metres is def not that far. Lucky it was only 120. Lucky day!

Questions? Ask away!
You're lucky it wasn't flying over water ...
I'm in love I want❤
It’s good hey!!
Disappointed drone can't keep up with kangaroos

That's a great way to destroy your batteries
Hey look, everyone learns from their mistakes. 🤷🏽♂️
Bro send some.followers my way. I'm a fellow drone pilot
the drone by itself with no battery $529.00, not cheap, mines fell on 1 foot of water, it got damage,
