I had the stock exhaust on my 2018 mustang GT and got rid of it after 2 weeks becuase it was too Quiet and Not Deep enough so I bought the AWE Touring and I Noticed a Big Improvement in the Sound and Tone Right Away !!! Best Money Spent :)

i installed this same exhaust on my convertible it will fit you need spacers between subframe connectors and it will give you the clearance. It works just the same when some people run headers and they use a front steeda brace that comes with spacers to clear aftermarket long tube headers. If you take a few minutes to line it up properly and use spacers it will work. I had this exhaust on my 15 Gt coupe and 19 Gt convertible and it sounds awesome with zero drone.
i’m trying to convert my 17 Gt convertible to quad tip and wanna put an exhaust on it i’m highly considering this one but it says it doesn’t fit convertibles do you recommend I get the 15-17 version of this and then change the tips to quad or get this 18-23 one and try and make it fit the 17 i really don’t know what to do here.
i think they sell the rear bottom portion to convert to quad tip style on american muscle. It will not say it fits convertibles because it really doesnt but with a few spacers pretty much washers it will just gotta play with it and I had plenty of clearance. I dont think the year of the awe catback makes a difference 15-24. Unless you want it with the quad tips just buy the 18+ kit. I have vids i think were its installed on my 19 vert .
@@karpetcm can you hit me up with any info or videos you got i talked with a American Muscle agent and he said i can’t do spacers and would need to remove the brace in order to do it and he told me i should get the 17 even though it doesnt fit and should remove the brace and i plan on adding a gt350 MP concepts diffuser to make it a quad tip and then the mp concert quad tip at least thats what he recommended i got a ruby red 2017 gt convertible california special
I went to awe touring again😂. But this time i played it a little smart i had dual tips and resonators from past just bought the mufflers. To probably not worry much about clearance on a vert and not use spacers just buy there muffler and tips like axleback set up. It will keep tour stock diameter pipes so it will clear the cross bar subframes and you still get that sound. Thats what i did and sounds exactly the same as my 19 awe catback and 15 awe catback.
I wish if Steeda had an Axle back Turing/sport sound as well for an affordable price around $500 (18+ mustang). The only one that Steeda has around $500 has aggressive sound
I’m running the H pipe and Steeda axle back on my 19GT that I drive daily and I don’t feel like it’s an overly aggressive sounding exhaust. And I’m a 50+ Grandpa ! Just sayin ;)
Any time you're working with electronics on the vehicle (i.e. active exhaust in this case), then you're best off disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Hope this helps! -Chris
Most definitely quite a bit louder. Keep in mind the Track system will drone a bit. If you want no drone with slightly less volume than Track (but still much louder than OEM with a Res Delete), go with their Touring system. -Chris
I would so love to get the AWE Track exhaust but I have the active function and y can't they bring out a active exhaust that I can use my 4 modes there is a reason I got the active exhaust with my car Quiet mode is so good and useful
I have a question really hoping you guys reply back. I have a 21 Mustang GT California Special convertible with active exhaust will this exhaust fit my car because I’ve been looking at some cat backs to install but most say “Not confirmed if it fits convertibles” which is frustrating. I’m willing to buy this catback exhaust cause it sounds amazing but I would no if it would fit my car????
There is a route that some people with convertibles take which involves replacing the factory convertible bracing with our IRS Subframe Braces found here: www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-mustang-rear-irs-subframe-brace-2015-coupe-555-5754.html Our site says they don't fit convertibles because you have to remove the factory bracing. You'll be able to run this exhaust (or any other cat-back) with those IRS Braces in place.
I got mine to fit on my convertible. You have to remove the center bolts in the rear of your subframe and put spacers, once that is done i used 4 longer bolts and its fit on perfect no issues. I just used washers for spacers and just longer bolts. You can buy the washer and bolts for probably less then $15-20 from any Home Depot or Lowes or your neighborhood hardware store.
AWE Touring has a deeper, more throaty sound thanks to the H-Pipe. The Roush Axle-Back retains the factory resonator and has a more straight-through muffler design that results in a higher pitched, more raspy tone. Hope this helps! -Chris
I've had both on my 19 Gt, the Roush Axleback was a tad raspy still deep but it did drone a bit on the highway which I didnt like even though it retaines stock resonator. The AWE Touring was wayyyy different. Deeper, echo burble, no rasp and zero drone.
Agree, but it's tough to tell from a video. The AWE seems as if it's just louder and without an active exhaust option (that I purposely paid for, for a reason) this system isn't an option for me unfortunately. :(
I've got the touring on my car. Get compliments all the time.

Killer and comprehensive video!
That is good stainless quality system and sound great. What axel-back is on the silver bullet.👏💪
We agree! Silver Bullet? Nothing... it dumps right off the mid-pipe! -Chris

Chris, great video. Is it necessary to disconnect the negative battery terminal? Would it matter if you don't? 🤔 #Steeda @Steeda

Did you leave that twirly spring piece( idk what it’s called) on the valve actuators on before putting them on the bracket? Or take it off

Corsa and Borla make systems that are Active-compatible. They will cost you an arm and a leg though.
I'm having a hard time believing the 1st exhaust is factory. I should know I have a 19' Mustang GT. About to order the AWE Touring.

With this exhaust system, yes. -Chris
