I owned this long after it were published. And some time after the C64 finally disappeared from shelves. Maybe 1998, somewhere around that time. My old C64 had long packed in, and I'd moved onto consoles. But I had a vast collection for it and really started to miss playing some of the classics. I went and bought one from a second hand shop, and Blockbusters was one of a few cassettes shoved into to box by the previous owner. I did like it, the animated Bob Holness was impressive for the C64. But there are some issues. Firstly, the configuration of the board is wrong. It doesn't match the way it forms on the TV show. And there's no excuse why it shouldn't. Secondly, the computer rarely plays a logical progression across the board. It makes it too easy, even on a difficult setting, because it gives you way too many opportunities to claw back from the brink. Thirdly, the timer pauses when you start typing. It's too tempting to buy yourself some more time by typing gobbledegook and erasing it. Fourthly, these type of games have an expiry date. You can only play it so many times before you get repeated questions and know all the answers. Not a bad game, but a little sloppiness here and there lets down what could have been a really solid conversion to home gaming.
