I would have serously considered this if it had a real Lithium package like Volta or Lithionics, 2nd alternator, and absolutely No Generator. Should have also been on a Ford Transit AWD chassis. Othewise, very nice interior, great layout, and fantastic job keeping it stealth (but try to get a lower profile A/C or Cruise N Comfort in v 2.0)
The power system of this Rangeline is the most desirable to me. Those huge battery packages seems nice on the paper, but you do not pay the big money for good use. Moreover, batteries are consumable goods. When they need to be replaced, it would be a big pain. On the other hand, the noise of the ultra quiet Onan generator is not objectionable at all. And you don’t need to use it most of the time. For these considerations, I just canceled my order for a Winnebago Boldt, which comes with a 12,800 watts lithium battery package and have set my eyes on the Pleasure Way Lexor TS. This new boy on the block from Airstream seems very attractive to me, too. Even better than Lexor, by adding just 70 amp of the lithium battery, Rangeline is entirety propaneless. This is indeed a very attractive motorhome. I only hope Airsteam will offer a rear lounge/sofa bed floor plan with this power system.
We love our Winnebago Travato 2021KL with twin beds and a lithium package large enough to run anything. Auto start recharges the lithium when needed. No separate generator needed.
First off, congrats on a very well done video. I am a Solis 59PX owner, and in so many ways you have 1-up'd Winnebago, beautiful fit and finish just like I would expect from Airstream. However, there is one major flaw where you completely missed the mark and just don't understand your target market well enough and that is using a black tank, rather than a Cassette toilet. Buyers of the Rangeline are not the same as Atlas owners who jump from RV park to RV park. A cassette is an absolute necessity. Most Class B owners park their Van right in their own driveway and you don't understand how convenient it is to be able to dump your cassette right into your own house toilet, or into a latrine in a state park, or a public toilet or porta-potty at a beach or a marina, or almost anywhere. Some places charge $30 just to dump your stupid black tank! This isn't a luxury diesel pusher, rather Rangeline buyers will be camping in all kinds of places, like off-the-grid boondocking, Harvest Host sites, National Parks, etc. Black tanks suck, unless all you do is camp at comfy RV parks with the diesel pushers and class A/C rigs and you can dump for free. Plus the smaller blank tank size in the Rangeline means you have to find a place to dump more often. What a compete pain in the A**. I've owned everything from a Berkshire Diesel pusher, a class C, a Hurricane Class A, to a GeoPro trailer. Class B owners want a cassette, period. I predict if you don't offer a cassette option on the Rangeline you will cut your market by 50%. I certainly won't considering upgrading my Solis to a Rangeline until you do. If you had offered a Cassette option or better yet, standard, I would seriously consider the upgrade. If you added the following, I would be completely sold: #1: Cassette Toilet #2: Lithium Batteries that could run the A/C (look at the 2023 Revel) #3: Reasonable Solar Panels (maybe 300-350 Watts) #4: Adaptive Cruise Control Beautiful rig though
Nice addition. Would love to see (1) option for sandblasted front and underbody, (2) option for composting toilet, replacing black tank with another freshwater tank, and (3) option for solar panels.
I'm a solis 59p owner with a pop top and rear sofa bed. This looks like a much better coach and I think you guys did a great job. I will trade it in tomorrow for this if it had one more seat belt. I have three kids plus my wife so need 5 seats. My son sleeps on a luno mattress in the front and sits on the rear sofa while driving. Hopefully you guys come out with something with more seating as I love what you did. Perhaps a smart seat that can clip in to the L tracks
Heating from the gas tank is a great idea and is the main reason why I would consider this van as my next RV. The only problem for me with this Ridgeline is a generator, I cannot imagine how a decent person can use it and make all people around at a campground hate you. Is it possible to replace it with a large Li-Ion battery pack like on Travato GL / KL? I also agree with the previous comment: cassette toilet would be by far much better

Great floor plans, seats look great. I’m 6 foot and do the seats go back a lot . Always had a hard time reclining or stretching my legs on very long trips.
The interior design is absolutely gorgeous. Every bit of it. Better than Pottery Barn. Now please do something beautiful and new with the Atlas, and beef-up the solar/lithium (perhaps Volta system) and I will be ready to order the Atlas or whatever new B+ you come up with.
Not a fan of the old 'Silver Bullet Airstream', but they may have a contender with this one. Looks like a perfect camper (a little pricey tho), other 'get around town' daily/weekly family uses, too and love all the technology and 'getting the most out of every space' engineering! RAM has a 'BEV' in their relatively near future ... geared now to address Amazon's delivery requirements first ... and if Airstream picks up on that chassis/platform/electric 'Coach' they'll quickly become a 'Class B' leader.
did you mean larger fridge than the extra drawer? Fridge is sitting above the drawer and that drawer can me removed to make way for bigger fridge. I agree with that.
In order to monetize your channel UA-cam now forces people to do a ton of useless stuff to make their videos longer. You need 4K hours to monetize. It’s ridiculous.
Is this really what you thought was important enough to point out? Everyone, we have reached peak comfort as a society if this is what we’re complaining about now.
Agreed. Heck I’d take the Transit over a Sorinter too! Less expensive to purchase and maintain. Dealers in every town, more powerful. No expensive diesel to buy and service. As to the Promaster: it has a very low rear axle. Plus this running boards will get hung up too easily. Plus I don’t trust their reliability. Don’t see the van life set spending the bucks on this anyway, but it’s nice that AS is offering a choice. BTW we have been Airstream trailer owners (28’) for 12 years.
@@lefauxpas Yes I'm really very surprised that Airstream would partner with RAM Promaster on this one, with (all due) respect to Promaster but the Ford Transit chassis is just better all around in many ways! We have a 2016 Airstream 26U twin, absolutely love it!
So many great features, one complaint, the drawers have no dovetails ,the wood work could be nicer in the main kitchen area, also you loose a lot of extra space with the dinette area ,the option to turn it sideways would be far better ! Love the bed arrangement that provides extra storage .
seperate hob is a strange one, requires room to store it but frees the counter. i think id prefer a fixed one. can still use the counter with a flush fitted hob and induction doesnt get hot. considering people use chopping boards anyway it seems like a nobrainer. also who wants a power lead on display while cooking. only benefit is you ca take the hob outside, but wasnt the only external plug on the wrong side of the van!! dont realy see the point in that rear layout. too high to use it for anything except sleep leaving only the front seats to lounge in. good for bike storage but why not make it a fixed bed with a nice backrest and a window
So much to like here - I just wish Airstream used the Ford Transit platform instead (and then maybe a Transit Trail upgrade option). Love the passenger seats with anchors, LP delete, lithium plus generator, digital controls, great cabinet organization, etc.
Couple of things 1. It’s a driver seat nothing more nothing less stop using terms like cockpit it’s not a jet m, it’s a driver seat. 2. Half this stuff is out dated, 3. it’s absolutely ugly. 4. We all know this the cost no thanks.
Love it!!!!! Love that there are no obvious cut outs. On the exterior, would love to see an option for a trim piece on the awning like on the interstate or an awning delete. Great design - making me consider updating from 2006 Interstate
What an impressive debut! This is well thought out and will allow folding Ebike internal storage. I was ready to abandon Class B, and goB+ or C. But I want easy parking access to the city, etc; like Urban Cowboy Scott of #GoSmallLiveLarge. Airstream Rangeline now tops my list.
Current AS owner. 2019 FC 25 RBT. Not my cup of tea but this looks like a very nice unit. FWD and efficient 3.6 V6 power makes for an easier upfit platform. Using regular gas to power everything is great idea. How many gallons gas tank? The front-end styling on the ProMaster Van has always been kind of an ugly duckling. Blacking out the front bumper/cover helps. Black/Grey tank included is major benefit. After all the upfitting how much cargo capacity is there? Rated to tow how much? 3500 LB hitch does not mean it can TOW 3500 LBS. Maybe small utility trailer? Does factory dash radio/stereo have SiriusXM capability? Hope Airstream does well with this model. Of course, price is important. MSRP? Like to see the company do well.
Very appealing. The manual awning does feel a little cheap - an electric with a manual override and key would have given the impression of luxury. Interesting how one small thing can create suspicion on overall quality.
But I was wish have a TV…. Yeah people use iPad but there are a lots people like see a TV…. Also if I use a laptop will be nice have a second monitor….really disappointed
Checked it out at colonial airstream. Love the simplicity. Please no Volta. Keep the back tank. The battery/ generator combo is perfect for me. Those that want all that can spend 200 k on a travato.I am sold I will be ordering very soon.
You all at Airstream like always are leading the quality RV! Super glad that you start offering pop tops. Just wish you offered the sofa/bed version on the rear as well for option layout.
@@Airstream-Inc One still photo of only the upper bunk? A video segment showing how the pop top raises/lowers would have been nice. Also nice would be video showing showing the host and how it looks inside with the top, so the viewer can get an idea of how much headroom there is. Seems like you’d want to highlight the additional benefits of this very nice upgrade.
Jumping on the Solis bandwagon.... things you missed....Cassette toilet, a bigger more upscale sink, ...the engineers still haven't figured out the wasted space right side of the bed, the bed does not look as good as the Solis, and should have had a 12 volt AC
Well done, but let’s be honest Airstream’s engineer have not done anything new. I would argue they just took a very popular DIY design and added shinny aluminum. Builders like Alex and Sarah James or Brooklyn Camper Vans would build a better van more custom van for a lot less money. I’m actually building out my own 2500 pro master with better components and personalized to my needs for 100k less. And yes that does include the van.
Why do designers of B vans start with panoramic window vans and then cover 75% of the windows up? I understand that the bathroom requires losing a window, or part of a window, but reducing the windows at the dining table and in the bedroom area to 2 sq ft just does not make sense. Seems like most glass gets covered with plastic panels (and in this case very dark panels). I'd rather see out. At least there are no '70's window valances in the rig....
Okay, how are you handling the fact that 0nnan (and yes I know I misspelled that) has been taking the install of their generators out of conversion companies hands causing performance problems so they can make more money on repairs.
I just watched a UA-cam video of this rv. It left me feeling a little disappointed but now after watching your video, I’m really liking this. You showed me the shower vent, not seen on that other video. Important item for close quarters lol. I was also glad to hear you talk about air bags. I’ve watched a lot of videos on all the products out there and nobody mentioned airbags. I’m widow shopping at the moment. I would love to own one of these.
Don' love he blackwater toilet. Wish they'd gone with the cassette....actually a deal-breaker for me. Solar would have been a nice addition also. They should also take a cue or two from hymer.
"You see a lot of monitors on the walls in a Pleasure Way." LMAO! No, you don't. Pleasure Way uses a state of the art screen monitor for all the controls. One is in the front and an identical one is in the rear of the coach, including the battery disconnect switch. With the Rangeline, you have to open the back door to use the battery disconnect switch, which is not convenient. I like the clean look on the outside and the overall look inside. However, the bathroom looks smaller than other wet baths and all the wall seams held together by buttons screams cheap. Same for the flimsy looking mattress.
Very well done honest video. You have certainly addressed and solved the shortcomings of the competition such as the Solis. Great to have an affordable nice size lithium system standard and totally eliminate LP. Right sized tanks and a usable bathroom. Great design overall, best floor plan out there.
I know for the future it would be cool to have a bed upfront where the table or the driving position. Kind of wasted space up there, but maybe in the future another bed
I'm looking at the headroom. His head is almost touching the roof and he doesn't look to be very tall. Looks too crowded inside. Notice when he's standing in the aisle he has to stand on an angle.
Great RV, however, missing Adaptive Cruise Control and all the safety features that nowadays come with other cars, PLEASE consider getting fully loaded Chassis from Promaster.
@@dougmanck4149 I actually had checked their spec sheet, no mention of adaptive cruise control, I don't think you were looking at the right page. Also, look at their videos and look at their steering wheel, there is no adpative button. Make sure you are looking at the "Rangeline" model.
They should have added the table at passenger seat to go Down so that when van is on move it’s not in the way and passengers can stretch legs a bit by throwing a cushion on it. Also a bench kind of thing at the kitchen counter so it can be used as computer desk when not cooking
Yeah, especially in winter. With the weight of the engine above it, it's less likely to get stuck in snowy, slippery situations (source: I own a FWD Mazda

Jumping on the Solis bandwagon.... things you missed....Cassette toilet, a bigger more upscale sink, ...the engineers still haven't figured out the wasted space right side of the bed, the bed does not look as good as the Solis, and should have had a 12 volt AC
Taking too long to get to the inside, and I want my stove to be gas.
I would never buy a front wheel drive.
Lot of money for when it becomes a rust bucket
4x4 only way! All others bull!😊
I like the blue color interior with light silver exterior
Well done, but let’s be honest Airstream’s engineer have not done anything new. I would argue they just took a very popular DIY design and added shinny aluminum. Builders like Alex and Sarah James or Brooklyn Camper Vans would build a better van more custom van for a lot less money. I’m actually building out my own 2500 pro master with better components and personalized to my needs for 100k less. And yes that does include the van.
Would like to see the pop up inside and that bed being put in place. Looks as if you have to completely make it every day.
More photos of the pop-top can be seen on our website --> www.airstream.com/touring-coaches/rangeline/gallery/
Yup, I want one! 🙏😎💸
The outside steps are too low.
The generator hanging 6 inches from the ground below the rear axle is a big Oof guys.
Just wondering why it’s not a V8 engine or higher pulling all the weight. And is there a lift option for over landing?
Most people who could afford to buy this would have to be over the retirement age.
What is the price???
We looked at a Rangeline yesterday. I noticed the cabinetry was misaligned. Given AS's reputation for quality, is there a plan to address this issue?
Thanks, Doug!
Does the bathroom have a sink? Refrigerator is small. That guy would hit his head every time he uses the bathroom especially at night
I know for the future it would be cool to have a bed upfront where the table or the driving position. Kind of wasted space up there, but maybe in the future another bed
The same layout as Hymer Aktiv, but made much better.
Yes like the Ford Transit!
Who told you it didn't have all these features? At least look at their website.
This is awesome😎🤘
That front wheel drive advantage is huge!
Yeah, especially in winter. With the weight of the engine above it, it's less likely to get stuck in snowy, slippery situations (source: I own a FWD Mazda
I agree w/the 1 comment show the inside 1st not to much changes with the outside, hook ups & to drain or fill up
Very nice build. Would that Airstream would adapt some of these innovations to the travel trailers, eg: Lizard Skin insulation, fewer external penetrations, positive latching cabinets,…
How much?
My question is is there a blackout screen for the sliding door? Is there an option or a place for an extra battery?
Ok ❤
Thanks Saul Goodman RV salesman.
Shut up and take my money.
I traveled ten years in an Airstream, this is way to little for way to much!
Finally! America is catching up to european RV's cant wait the progression. More seats more berths.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤
l really don't like the floor because l think it will trap dirt or spills
Can you cook with the induction cooktop off of the inverter power?
Is that really how the mattress is stored in the back…??? That’s a huge miss.
