It's funny because when I was watching Jay Ryu here doing the installation and feeding the wires thru, it almost made me thought what it's like to watch a professional electrician wiring up a fuse both with a MESS of wires and almost without even thinking, they are cutting, and splicing, taping... not even having to measure... So well experienced at it, its like tying a shoelace.. Doing it without having to think.... right to left, left to right, under over, over under... pull, create a bow...... (you get the drift lol )... and here we look at this MESS of house wires and it's just the same.... He shows so much experience, it would be amazing to see him work his magic in person! And being able to share some of those tips and experience with your team, will help put that that bar even higher than it even is.
Thanks for the video. It's always great to see a company who is both honest, and willing to look for and accept ways of improving for what is already a great company! They installed a number of dashcams over the years in my 1992 Camaro Z28 and they are a great company to work with! I know for sure when the time comes, that if I needed to purchasing another dashcam or battery pack, they will be the first one my list without a second thought!
Thank you very much for the kind words! Glad to hear the camera is still going strong after so many years. If you need any assistance with it feel free to reach out.
The wire connectors that you use the heat guns onto, are superior to the crimp connectors and when combines with using heat/shrink wraps, makes for a watertight and professional look for the install. Even though watertight isn’t really needed for the dash cam installs, it still adds to the quality of the install.
Nice super clean installation. Really love the knowledge from & info on this channel. I’m looking for similar super clean install on my G20 BMW 3 Series. Not sure I’m in the right place to ask but if I wire tap into the hidden wire harness tab in the rear view mirror housing (red wire & black wire to usb type c then use usb male to male type c into my VIOFO A139 Pro camera ) would that be able to power the camera as well as give me Full Parking Mode as well as protect my battery from fully from draining away?
Hi there, glad you liked the video and apologies for the delay. I not recommend using the rear view mirror tap for a dash cam, as it won't give you the parking mode you are looking for. Furthermore, BMW batteries are very sensitive to power draw when the vehicle is off, so I'd recommend considering a battery pack. Stay tuned for our BMW iX install this week which should cover a lot of useful info for you, and check out our page on BMWs here: www.blackboxmycar.com/pages/how-to-hardwire-a-dashcam-in-your-bmw
Could you all do the same type of video for the model 3 and y even for model 3 highland as I'm finding it very hard to find how to wire a model 3 highland
Thanks for the feedback. Teslas are quite difficult, and we bring by a specialist for these who spends a full day working on them. Here's a good start on wiring into a Tesla: www.blackboxmycar.com/blogs/news/installing-the-blackvue-dr770x-2ch-dash-cam-via-hardwiring-in-a-2015-tesla-model-s
Does anyone understand why the rear camera cables are passed both above the pillars (which I find dangerous because of the presence of airbags), but also at the very bottom for the power supply cables? Wouldn't it be safer to avoid passing at the top, where the airbags are?
@@blackboxmycar Thansk for your reply. My question was related to the fact that one of the câble goes on the bottom, while the other one goes to the back of the carburant the top mart of the bodywork. I was wondering why the bottom path isn't used for both cables.
Put cable along with roof air bag is not a smart way. Cable should routing under the floor beside driver side door. The deployed side curtain air bag sent the cable could whip people. Toyota OEM dash camera instruction is way better.

Crazy impressive how fast he was able to solder those wires holding them in one hand.
Exactly!! We had an entire soldering station with proper holders and a mat in the very same room, but he insisted to do it all at the vehicle!
Ryu is the top dash cam installation technician in South Korea.
Agreed! 💯

Great installation. When I need to have a camera system installed in my car, I hope to get someone like Jay. Great interview too.
Thanks!!
Great video, I was having issues with my Powercell and watched this. It helped immensely.
Very glad it helped!
Wow, excellent video on installing dashcams. I've learned a lot!
Glad to hear it :D!

Can the batteries in a Cellink be replaced?
The internal batteries in the Cellink cannot be replaced.
what amp fuse did he piggy back from in the car?
He tapped to a 15A fuse.
when can we see a viofo a229 pro review??
Haha, patience! We have yet to receive the unit, I expect late this month or early November.

I can assure you that the cables are wired behind or around any airbags, you should never wire in front of airbags.
