I cant believe people complain to Kurt about him not going to the tourist places. The reason why I watch this channel is to get the local culture experience. I love seeing the way the people live. The reason why Kurt's channel is successful is because he films the non tourist places. Not many people do that on youtube.
Just watching this video and seeing this comment. I watched basically almost everything else he has filmed. So yeah actually 3 years later (3-8-24) his Spanish is so good now! He definitely puts his heart and soul into making these videos and everybody appreciates them.
I love how everyone waves “hi” to the camera. They all seem so friendly and approachable. I also liked how @ 16:10 the mother was helping her children doing homework. That’s true parenting. Thank you for us the raw side of this town vs the tourists sites. It’s beautiful in every way. Keep up the great work!
The fact that you’re in the backwoods in these people towns and you can speak fairly fluently probably blows these peoples minds. I’m sure they respect you hugely for that alone. Keep up the videos man. Can’t wait to see more when you’re updated again.
I actually have an explanation for the sometimes hot and cold water coming from the faucet/showers. In Mexico a lot of buildings get there water pump from the ground and onto the rooftops in hide water tanks. These water tanks can be under the intense heat from the sun can cause the water to heat up and resulting in warm tap water
God I love you Kurtz. Being different from other travellers makes you unique, others go to tourist places, you visit villages and slums, this is adventure at it peak.
I love the fact that you don't stick with the tourist places and you actually explore the heart of the city. not too many people can do that. I love traveling too, but the ppl I travel with like to stay in "resorts" which ruins the trip for me. >_

I find what you are doing very inspiring and I look forward to your next video. I love that you are in to MMA and currently in Thailand (at the time I am making this comment) and I hope you continue to train and would love to see you in a professional fight in the future although I would be even more excited to see beat the crap out of either Paul brother!!!! I have trained Jiu Jitsu for about 10 years now and I highly recommend training Jiu Jitsu as much as you can although I know it must be difficult when you travel full time.
Kurt my brother if you're still min Mexico or plan to go back you definitely need to go to Tijuana, Mexico (TJ) the food is the best. Anywhere from tacos, the famous fish tacos, shrimp tacos, cocteles you name it. You can even take a trip down the coast to Rosarito or Ensenada.

Palenque is one of my favorites in the whole world! Not far from there, you can cross the river into Guatemala for mas adventure! Super cool, super fun!
I did the journey by land from Palenque to Guatemala in February (not the river route) with local transportation and it was a really fun adventure! I love both Mexico and Guatemala ❤️

the green salsa is made with tomatillos kind of like a small green tomato with a lime taste mixed in i grew them for several years such a cool looking and tasting plant. When the fruit is growing it looks like it has a paper lantern around it.
I’ve been to Mexico damn near 20 times growing up by the border here in so cal. The people in Mexico are so nice their culture so much better than in America. People have welcomed me in their homes and offered me food. Idk if it’s just cuz I’m white but I noticed they are also extremely nice to each other as well. Much different than here in the states.

I went to Palenque back when there was 3rd class train from Mexico City! $5 bucks from Mexico City to Chiapas! What a trip! One of my favorite places, Chiapas. Did you ever get to the ruins at Palenque? I couidn't find a video with ruins. The most beautiful of all ruins. Spectacular gigantic rain forest trees, water falls. Real Jungle.
