rev matching for both downshifting and upshifting is not good for engine's health.
when your crank shaft(engine) is running at uniform speed, and you suddenly downshift even after maintaining successive rpm, engine faces high temperature and piston may fail at anypoint and also you may need to replace the bore from engine sooner. Though one can use it in rare cases.

Thats bullshit, it doesnt effect engine infact it is safer but a bike with slipperclutch dont need rev matching. Dont pull out wrong info from your ass
@@michaelruatfelaralte84 rev. matching leads to higher acceleration which makes more amount of gasoline fall inside the engine cylinder. All this happens in a short period of time. The sudden increase of fuel in cylinder results in sudden increases of heat and pressure which is directly exerted on the piston. This leads in wearing of piston surface ultimately resulting in piston replacement.
