Why is nearly half the video a Polaris Ad
Goodness, a Polaris ad with a side of Ford Ranger.
Gents, it seems like you’re missing the big story of the new Taco. Significant issues with pricing, quality control, and building stock at dealers for a lack of sales. The previous midsize king seems to be in trouble.
Something to be noted, those SXS with windshields are like pulling a parachute. My 2021 5.0 f150 will pull a mid size sedan better than a SxS (60mph and up) 17mpg vs 14mpg or less.
Great comment! I was thinking the same thing! I have an enclosed V nose trailer I almost always use to tow vehicles & or the SxSs. I have towed the SxSs occasionally on my flat bed trailer & WOW there’s a big difference in fuel consumption. My vehicles are restored, so I rarely haul them in the open leaving that comparison unavailable to me currently. Yeahhhh they are spoiled!! 😂😂😂.

Nice video. It is sort of confirmation why most people don't need a full size truck. Most of the new midsize trucks can handle what people need to do.
probably cause a midsize these days is as big as a full size was 10-15 years ago

Well guys, I see how ya did this video… kinda a infomercial on the side by side and then a small section on how the raptor tows. Not your usual way of doing things but all is good. I see how you were able to pay some bills and get a review done at the same time. Just next time kinda let us all know in the title perhaps? I don’t know. Not going to disrespect you guys, I know your pushing to keep content flowing. So all in all, good job, throw some more videos out with the raptor perhaps on the IKE or toe to toe against the ZR2 for some rock crawler action. Whatever works keep up the good work fellas.
Sure, it can pull a SxS on a trailer. A Subaru could do that. Buying a Raptor and rock crawling in Moab or towing a trailer seems pretty much a waste of its potential. I think an XLT Ranger would do the same for much less. So what's the point of it other than to show off?
TFL puts all their trucks through various operations. They have protocols or checklist they run through then they will sell it. Obviously the Raptor is significantly less capable both in tow and carry capacity due to the added weight of the underpinnings. But does that mean nobody is going to work their Raptors as a truck? NO. I've seen plenty of raptors do work on constructions sites but most just crawl around malls lol. Probably not the best choice as a work truck but nevertheless people do work them. Thus the reason for this video.
@@HiPlains1 Let's be honest, the video was made for clicks. Not worthwhile content. Do you honestly believe someone out there was doubting whether a Raptor could tow a SxS? Everyone knows it's not the best work truck and Ford doesn't promote it that way. Showing that it could do the same as a RAV4 isn't really helpful.
I guess if you purchased this truck you may want to know how it tows, it may be your only truck. I see the purpose if you only tow occasionally but go off road monthly, I get it

Did you see the dealer that tried to get a 10K ADM at an auction? He ate shit and it went no sold. People need to refrain from this practice. Also Dealers will treat cash buyers like the indigent poor lol. I mean if I were to buy now it would be cash because I refuse to pay the higher rates. So in the end I just say Fck em and will keep driving my 2019 loaded Pro 4X frontier that I paid 35K out the door. Everyone should just let the Lot rot set in. Let them drown in their floor plans lol.
Raptor max tow is 5510 lbs which is weak for the segment. Even my 19 Pro 4X can tow more at 6100 lbs. Although it can carry 1400 lbs in bed which is better then TRD pro, P4X or ZR 2. Not sure why the tow rating came in that low. As the Regular one has best in class at 7500 lbs.
Raptor is limited only due to the suspension and hardware. It has the power to tow almost double that.
@@kennetho5393 I realize that. As my frontier also has offroad suspension, rear locker that add weight to truck and lower bed capacity. Same goes for TRD Pro or ZR 2. I'm just surprised the Ranger capacity was lowered that much. Not that its lower.
@@HiPlains1 it's a lot lower from even the base engine Ranger. The Raptor suspension is much different than the Frontier's mild Pro 4x setup. Same reason the F-150 Raptor and RaptorR only tow 8,500-8,700 lbs compared to regular F-150s that tow 11,000-14,000 lbs with essential the same engines.
@@kennetho5393 Again I realize that. Still surprised the tow was lowered from 7500 to 5510. That's literally a TON less. That's significantly less capability. Regardless, I would not buy this as the capability is far too compromised. AT least here in Albuquerque most of the raptors I see are mall crawlers. I wish they made the XLT a wee better and offered 2K on the bed. That would allow me to drop a pallet of pellets back there.
@@HiPlains1 seems similar to how Ford rates the F-150 Raptor, which I think can be as much as 3 tons less in towing capacity versus their top F-150 models.

I think were confused by your comment. Apparently, you're not aware that the water content of snow can change depending on season and location. The Rockies during the winter get a low-moisture snow, known by skiers as Powder. The Sierras and Cascades because of their proximity to the Pacific get a much wetter snow. The locals refer to it as Sierra or Cascade cement. I will let people from the Mid-West and East chime in about their snow.
Well I was thinking that all snow is water, it really is it just depends on how much air is between the crystals, so with that snow can be as little as 10 percent water if your counting the air around the crystals Or as much as 20percent in the case of heavy “wet” snow in either case the white visible part is all frozen water
