The fish joke is probably an indicator that you are or would make a good dad. And this outing would be a great geological education intro hike with the kids. Thanks for the video.
Excellent video. Only in my later years have I taken up rock hounding. Luckily I live in Michigan and we have an incredible array of things to find along the shores of the Great Lakes, or the Glacier scoured middle of the state.
There was something in the cave. Something eldrich which called him. He started going in every day, compulsively. And every day he would joke about the fish, but there was no one with him to hear the joke. Not anymore. His wife had begged him not to go back in but he wouldn't listen. It was a disease and very time he went, he ventured a little bit deeper. It took him a while, but eventually he reached the end of it, and it was FAR from being *the end of it*. The following days he brought some tools with him and started slowly chipping away. With every chunk of ferrite he took of the walls his compulsion grew stronger. He couldn't help himself. He just needed more of it. It's been 3 months since the last time anyone saw him. You can hear him, clinking away in the shaft, laughing maniacally with every new ferrous discovery but he's so far and deep in, that no one has been able to reach him. Some said he touched rock bottom. I think he's still rocking.
dang this looks like cool stuff to do. i like rocks and they way the look when cut. no uploads in 7 months? is this channel over already? this looks like fun stuff to watch.
There's a place on the Saranac river where time has left big kettle holes in the bedrock. Sometimes i dig them out and run the material through my gold pan. I wind up with a bunch of river smooth magnatite, it's very cool!

I think I just found you yesterday and feels like we already best Frans! 😁
super awesome!
Awesome! My hunting camp is in Lyon mt, NY. Some of the purest iron ore in the country.
We were about 10 miles away from Lyon mt, probably the same geology that formed this small outcrop.
@@naturalstones4529 Standish then?
