yeah, Cybershell towing the corporate line is definitely something that gave me whiplash.
FUN FACT: In the making of this video, Cybershell repeatedly referred to Fang by names that are no longer being used for him, such as "Sniper", despite being asked by SEGA not to. In order to prevent further mistakes, SEGA hired an actual sniper to aim at his head, and told him that the sniper would shoot him if he used the wrong name for Fang again.

It’s in Archie, Underground, and AoStH, but I suspect it’s also the coins in the vault of Casinopolis in Sonic Adventure.

Being asked to make a promotional video is the first step in Cybershell finally winning the custody battle for Sonic. Also must have been pretty hard not to point out that Fang gained an extra finger on each hand and that now his tooth appears on either side of his face.

Here's to hoping we get an unsponsored 'Fang 102' to get into everything SEGA corporate had him be mum about, like the whole 'Fang/Nack' thing and the comics he's showed up in.
I absolutely love the fact this video is something that was greenlit by Sega, by a UA-camr that has a video where he plays sonic 2 and every time he jumps he says fuck you sega. Either Sega can genuinely take a joke, or they simply don't care.

To add to this, Fang's original name in development was Nack but they decided to change it in the Japanese version because Nack sounded too similar to the Japanese pronunciation of Knuckles (Na-ku-ru-zu). A contest was held and Fang the Sniper was chosen. In the West they initially revealed him as Jet the Sniper but they went back to Nack and added Weasel even though he was a Jerboa.
And then gave him a sister, but we don't talk about that.

This is good. I remember seeing the same type of promo where they ask youtubers to do videos about their game, but it was about clash of clan and the youtuber never ever cared about the game in the first place and only said banalities. But here it's great to ask an expert to do the character presentation for a game with actual depth.

According to the Encyclo-speed-ia, the initial appearance of Fang/Bark/Bean in the transition between the acts of Mirage Saloon is actually those characters and not illusions.
The Encyclo-speed-ia also gets certain things wrong.
