I never thought a Monster Jam/ Monster Truck iceberg will be so damm interesting.
hahaha me too im new into Monster Jam in 2024 and i found this on reccomendation
Not only did i attend that Atlanta show back in 2010, but i still have the entire live broadcast recorded on my television! Absolutely priceless. I go back every now and then to watch it
Is there a way for you to upload it? We have all of freestyle available but not racing
Is it possible to digitize it to upload it?
Some entries i would have added:
1. In Path of Destruction's game files, there are files for a track with the name "gamemaintrackmcafee" meaning that one of the stadiums would have been sponsored by Mcafee
2. Again with Path of Destruction, Taz can be seen very breifly in Captain's Curse's cutscene, even though Taz isnt in the game, wich sucks imo.
3. For the final time with Path of Destruction, on the DS version of the game, you can unlock a Bull horns and snout accessorie for your truck, the funny thing is, that its exclusive for the DS version.
4. There used to be a Monster Jam java game back in the late 2000's/early 2010's called Monster Jam Lite, the game was just a watered down version of the Monster Trucks unleashed flash game with the Monster Jam license. From what i can remember, the trucks abvailable were Avenger, Captains Curse and Blue Thunder, Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, El Toro Loco, Monster Mutt and Dalmatian were unlockable.
5. There used to be a Kids Zone in the old Monster Jam page that would let you download activities like coloring pages and other stuff.
6. Vette King's body was stolen at various shows.
7. Goldberg's original body concept is the one used for the most of Maximum Destruction's diecast trucks, ironically, there was a proper more accurate body made in 2011 and 2012, before being replaced by the absolute garbage design we have now.
8. There exists a Grave Digger Transformer, sort of, the Minicon Grindor from the Dirt Diggers pack of the Transformers universe toyline is painted similarly to Grave Digger, with a panel van body, green flames, red headlights and green chassis, there actually exists an upgrade for this figure that gives it Grave Digger's paintjob.
9. There was once a flash game that had you drive Grave Digger over some zombies, sadly i dont remember the name but i do remember playing the hell out of it.
10. Monster Mutt also appeared in a flash game, i think i know what game it is but i currently dont remember the name so i will edit this later with more info.
11. It took Hot Wheels 16 years to fix Grave Digger's front headlights.
12. The 1/24 scale hot wheels trucks go as far back as 2005 due to there being a Green Ghost version of a 1/24 scale grave digger.
13. You can still find a few old Monster Jam diecasts from 2010/2011 at Diggers Dungeon.
14. Grave Digger once crushed some demo derby cars at a show in Minneapolis in 1999, the driver (Todd Frolik i think) ran up into the stands to greet the fans but instead was welcomed by an angry demo derby driver (you can already guess what happened.)
15. There was a Monorail from Disneyland at WF15 that got used as an obstacle.
16. Just like the MTM2 community, there used to be a Monster Jam community for the 1nsane offroad game from the 2000's, sadly, it dint do as well as the ROR or even MTM2 communities as it fell into abandonment.
17. WCW Nitro Machine can be seen on a TV screen in the movie Taxi 3.
18. Bigfoot 5 made a cameo in Cars Toons (nah im just kidding, there was a truck that looked like it tho.)
19. Brutus did an unseen Practice run at WF5.
20. They slimed an entire Grave Digger truck as promotional material for the Slime Arena playset, sheesh, i wonder how long it took to scrape all that off.
21. Around the 2000's there used to be a very realistic Lightning Mcqueen Monster Jam custom that i belived was real, but upon further inspection, they just slapped a Mcqueen body on a The Broker diecast.
#9 inspired a faint memory for me and I’m 90% certain this is actually real and not me filling in the blanks but I’m pretty sure a couple Grave Digger flash games were on the Hot Wheels Website in the 2010s - I don’t remember zombies though I’m certain you built a custom track then you controlled grave digger on it
Grave Digger #2 appeared in the Annoying Orange series as Midget Apple’s monster truck

14:20 As a Transformers fan, we call this GPS (Gold Plastic Syndrome). It can affect certain toys when the sparkly pigments cause the plastic to become brittle.
This year has to be one of the best if not the best year for lost media not only for monster jam, but for a lot of communities. In fact I just found a video that is 2 HOURS LONG and is full of lost media found from 2022 alone. I hope we can progress even more in the future. Merry Christmas!

14:25 As a young kid, I absolutely loved it when the wheels fell off my Goldberg, haha! Thought it was just like the real thing. Fortunately, my dad was able to superglue them back on and I kept on playing with it. One wheel, though, had the superglue form a mold around the axle piece. It eventually came loose, but the “mold” allowed me to pop it on and off at will. Made it even more so my favorite one to play with, haha. Never knew it was defective plastic, thought it was just because I used that one the most.

Wanted to spread this fact around a little bit but there was a second cut truck in monster jam 2007. The only thing that proves this is the commentator audio files. Each truck has 2, so there should be 40. But it goes up to 44 with 4 of them missing (2 of which we know was An Escalade). That is the only evidence of the second truck we have.

That diesel lawsuit was kinda dumb since there were many diesel monster trucks before them, such as King Kong and Rollin' Thunder

That fire ball from Air Force afterburner can still be scene in the menu of monster jam urban assault is what people were saying in the comments of the video with sir forces afterburners clips

In fact, i'm from Mexico, and i remember the Chihuahua crash. I mean, i was there and it was very sad to hear the guy on the microphone screaming "Emergency, please!!". I was traumatized about it.

In my opinion world finals 16 is my favorite world finals! Why? Well because of all the beautiful world finals paints schemes that debuted! My favorite ones are, maxd red, maxd gol, and grave digger purple.

1:06:08 I don't think it was Gary Schott Jr. driving Natural High at that event. From what I've read Kelvin Ramer was behind the wheel, and after the tragic accident Feld forced him to retire the Natural High name and body, which is what led to the creation of Time Flys.

Something I can add to the wf lost clips being not aired or shown in any way (were recorded by some type of camera whether iso, or a feld camera)
Wf 1 lost runs: at least an iso
Wf 3 encore: iso 2 camera at least
Wf 5 probably were recorded but were edited put for the Speer episode and never were added back *dvd* (for some reason)
Wf 8 (halftime may be the only one to have never been recorded *but it could have been as well* but theirs no evidence at all*
Wf 9 encore certain clips are show it was recorded by feld (now for the longest due to Spitfire lawsuit were destroyed, untill that inside monster jam show was aired recently *backwards Bob clip* so feld may actually still have it)
Wf 10 truck parade may have. Or may have not been recorded (no one knows for sure)
Some of the recorded shows may be at feld headquarters, or feld has an archive building (similar to wwe)
Other may be lost to time (hopefully one day some of these recordings will be shown in some way)

I wanted to add more to the search and conversation over this
The Kid Rock monster truck is strange for one reason to me- the 29 on the side looks like the same font (or very similar) used by Richard Childress Racing when they ran the 29 car in the NASCAR Cup Series. Who drove that car? None other than Kevin Harvick, who became the primary driver at RCR after Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s tragic passing in 2001. Even stranger is that at that time, the 29 car was sponsored by Goodwrench, GM's service brand, and here's that same number on what looks like a Ford body.
If I had a nickel for every time something related to Kevin Harvick happened in Monster Jam, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice.

1:07:01 Small correction, but this happened at a later year (2016~2018), this is the reason as to why monster truck shows stopped happening in Mexico, many were cancelled almost immediately after (and only started to happen again with the Hot Wheels tour in Mexico City, and an independent one in Monterrey, both happening this month, though the later is making the same mistake by hosting it in a small field, which is also feet away from a major highway)
I stand corrected, I got curious after typing this and what I said is fake, the incident did happen in 2013, for some reason I thought it happened way later, and thats also not the reason why monster truck shows stopped in 2016 (there were events until 2019, at least in Monterrey)
I have photos from Indianapolis in 2006, but no videos sadly.

20:18 actually it was in the original broadcast if memory serves me right. I was pretty young at the time, but Pontiac 2006 was one of the first shows I ever watched on tv, and it was that run and a few others I remember seeing most. Everything from 2000 to I think 2012 were original broadcasts, and it was around 2013 they made some different cuts to maximize the amount of content in each episode
I remember having the Monster Jam as big as it gets Mobile game on the iOS and playing it just for the sake of earning trucks. Which btw I still have the app, but upon opening it, the game never loads and the music is only thing being heard from it. My guess is that the servers don't function anymore due to its poor reception.
Another thing: The 2010 Atlanta Live Freestyle portion of the show was made available to the public (not by Monster Jam tho)

You should really do an iceberg style info video on some of the smaller tracks/footage. I know that Abq NM isn’t for points but constantly have MJ come through. Just interesting stuff happens around these smaller ones

Teletica has broadcast several shows here in Costa Rica, but almost all of them have been lost, there are only videos of show 2 of 2018 of Mark List's skills and freestyle runs.

You should bring in the Jurassic attack prototype in the bonus iceberg.
One of the other reasons why Bigfoot quit running in mj is because mj doesn’t allow Indy’s to film their own footage. Every since I found that out it makes a whole lotta sense why we haven’t seen 2Xtreme, Obsession Racing, Razin Kane, and Vaters. What do they all share in common? They fill their own footage (Creten was other reasons, I don’t think they filmed any of their own footage)
I didn't know that when I wrote the script. I wrote it before California Monster Trucks' video on the situation.

45:49 it’s crazy & amazing seeing my hometown on the Monster Jam Iceberg lol. I remember when it happened, so many people were freaking out and saying to not show up at the event. It was packed and originally I wanted to take my girlfriend to the show, but we didn’t go because we heard all the “warnings”. We end up going the next year and everything was just fine. So this was definitely a weird event. 🤣

1. WCW and Wrenchead's models can be seen in Monster Trux Xtreme. Albeit with bootleg names, they look like what would have been in Maximum Destruction so perhaps they were cut far into development.
2. 44:39 those old 1/24 trucks were wierd...
3. As Big as it Gets was a fever dream, it felt like Urban Assault and 2007 had a really bad mix.
4. Something a little like the ripoff trucks entry, there are HWMJ Speed Demons, HWMJ Minis, and HWMJ 1/64 scale bootlegs floating around.
(Little explanation of the 1/64 knockoffs)
i personally found 2 of the 1/64 bootlegs at a store once, the bootlegs specifically were Fullboar and Destroyer, the package was an exact copy of the 2006-2009 cards used, and the back listed the other trucks from around the same years, Red Maximum Destruction for example, once i got Destroyer out of the package, i noticed that the tires were not rubber but instead upscaled versions of the cheaply made plastic tires with hollow insides you would find in most knockoff toys, and the rim was just a disc you would snap into the tire, after i played around with him for a while (by that i mean running it through a wall of crush cars) i noticed the body (wich was the only thing made out of metal) started to come off, probably due to how crappy the truck was manufactured, and then i noticed that the truck's body dint have the same thickness as the normal HWMJ trucks did, after a few weeks i had lost the rear end of the body and only had the cabin and hood to show off, sadly i have lost the truck in its entirety as of now but i do remember it falling appart in its last days. What made this knockoff special was because of how it looked exactly like the old trucks you would see from the mid to late 2000's, from the package, to the truck, i swear, the only thing they changed on the darn package was the Monster Jam name and called it a day.
Once y found a batman ripoff whit a exact copy of the 2019 spin master Pakeche the name was diferent

Ok from what i heard after talking to the LEGEND himself…..Fred Shafer, the creator of Bearfoot, if you make this again, you should mention the greed of Monster Jam and how the effect of selling merchandise ended up getting lots of independents to leave. Fred Shafer himself said that he was making about 20,000$ from shirts and each truck in the team that ran at the event. This was a ton of money back in the day (1980s i believe) but when the years when on, Monster Jam didn’t want this to happen anymore and decided to make all independents to not sell their merchandise at events and those 20,000$ turned to 3,000$……Also something that Fred said that I found funny was he wasn’t liking how the sport was going to and went on by calling it a “circus” instead of real racing because of the introduction of Freestyle. After everything he told me, i honestly have a hatred for monster jam and Penda Points Series (bigfoot cheated the Penda Points Series and track to easily win and take the championship according to Fred) and how they treated independents. All this ended up Fred selling his truck to Paul Shafer and now from what i can tell, he lives in a farm with his wife and is living a comfortable, smooth life.
I've heard about indies not being allowed to sell their own merchandise. I've also heard Mark Hall was denied bringing a show car I think to a Monster Jam event

I don't buy the Penda/Bigfoot claim and I've also never heard anyone else claim this. By the mid 90s between insane Ford power and chassis/suspension design, Bigfoot had simply perfected monster truck drag racing and were on another level. The others, including Fred, just couldn't hang with them on a regular basis.

@@ericfording3556 the thing is, deaths are a thing in the industry when it occurs in the event, although rare, it is not as rare as putting someone who starred in an adult p****graphy in a monster truck. That is just as bad if not worse for the industry as it can raise multiple eyebrows and make Monster Jam look like a bad brand as a whole, ultimately ruining the reputation of Monster Trucks.

If I were you, I would have fixed it with spare parts. (or glue it back together depending on the damage, and if the whole truck was brought, IYKWIM.)

Bog hog and grave digger are both losi LMT monster trucks now(I want one so bad but 650, and I want about 250 in upgrades to make it survive)
Then the license was bought by losi, and the fling king name is still on jconcepts mega truck tires.

There, it shows the possibly only photo of the film’s poster. It also shows a screenshot of a Facebook comment vaguely describing the film’s lost trailer.
