Sorry wish I had an answer for you. I haven't set up the floating dip tube to this set up yet. But that is a very good question... I'll have to try it one day. I've actually been using a different fermenter lately with my cool set up that I'll be releasing the video soon on.
Go get one of those Ozark Trail coolers from Walmart. Those knock off yeti will keep your ice quite a bit longer after you get that temp down initially.

Get an aquarium chiller, dude! Saves you all the hassle with the ice. I got a HAILEA aquarium chiller which does the job for me!
