In one food you say "it doesn't have potatoes, that's why it's healthier" (Pork Ribs) in another food, you say "Potato salad is healthy because it is!" make up your mind!!!!! I live in Europe, I don't eat potato salad or (pork ribs) which is a snack that is bad for your health! (all snacks are bad for your health!) Beef Jerky seriously!?🤨 with the absurd amount of salt it contains? How dare you recommend this to people?

Before one claims that something is unhealthy due to high calories, one should look at calorie value versus just calories. I heard a glass of whole milk has more calories than some sodas. However soda’s calories are just calories. Milk has a wide range of nutrients. Despite having more calories than soda, milk is better.

For those of you who can't drink alcohol for any reason (I take meds that make alcohol make me too tired to enjoy it), there are some great red wines that are alcohol free. Just check out your grocery store. Asda here in the UK has a couple, along with an alcohol free rose & a couple of alcohol free whites.

    • @YouTube-tied

The only people I ever knew that drank non-alcohol beers and wines were trying to quit drinking. When they realized the money they were spending on fake booze, they either went back to the real thing or just drank soda or flavored water or juices, sometimes in a mocktail.
I've never enjoyed the taste of booze enough to want to drink a non-fun version of it like near beer or fake wine. Just made 2 years alcohol-free after a 43-year run.

Here are a couple of things they left out in regards to both beef jerky and peanut butter, they can be healthy if you get the right ones but 95% of the products on the shelf are NOT healthy. When looking for beef jerky you have to look at the sugar content and the ingredient list because they pump it full of chemicals to keep it shelf stable and they are using low grade beef. I usually look for grass feed with as few ingredients as possible and 3 or less grams of sugar. As for peanut butter if you are buying Jiffy or Skippy you are not getting healthy peanut butter because of all the added sugar and the chemicals they add to keep the oil from separating. If you actually want healthy peanut butter the ingredient list should have only one or two items which are peanuts and salt if you want salted peanut butter, that's it.

  • @Laz3rCat95
    @Laz3rCat95 5 місяців тому +3

A word of caution about honey though: you have to be vigilant to make sure you are actually consuming real honey. A lot of "honey" products sold in stores are actually mainly corn syrup. Avoid those.
Also, on the popcorn point, real butter is not bad to have on it, in moderation of course. It's the artificial butter flavoring stuff that's usually on theater/processed popcorn that's not good for you.

People who have access to a wallnut tree, most probably know that wallnuts that are not-yet-mature taste incredibly delicious! There are however 2 things you ought to know before picking a 'green wallnut'......1)You should not eat the skin of wallnut(unlike a mature wallnut which ppl eat with their skin on) in fact you have to get all the way inside the core of a wallnut......2)You should know that you'll end up having black hands, because the outter shell of a GREEN wallnut tends to colour your hands black! The black color comes much later you've done eating them.

Like wine, beer has health benefits. It can keep your heart healthy and fight diabetes. I know runners and cyclists who drink a beer after a workout, because it replaces electrolytes better than water or highly sugared "health" drinks. It also promotes bone health. As I like to say, beer has food value, but food has no beer value, so choose wisely.

Well, I didnt thought any of this was unhealthy, sourcream is even a common part of my breakfast, with oysters, please be careful, if it is completely closed (even from shops), dont eat them, it is likely sick and can in worst case kill you with the sickness (in best case, give you stomach issues and/or blood poisioning that will kill you if not treated). A friend of mine learned that the hard way (but survived).
And now something less terrible… 😅 if you are like me and not a fan of dried pork skin you can also make your own potatochips of just potatoes you have real healthy ordinary chips instead 😊 It takes some time but its easy

I was at the store yesterday and I bought mostly fruits and vegetables and healthy foods. I saw a woman walk by with a mask on, 2 carts, a bunch of kids on the 2nd cart, and the 2nd cart was nothing but junk food. I felt my blood sugar jump walking past. I felt for the kids sitting on the cart, yet she was wearing a mask. Lately, when I go to the store, I try to buy fruits and vegetables and healthy foods. Everyone else has junk. But when I saw that women with 2 carts and one with nothing but junk, I almost fainted. I felt for the kids on the cart.

Don’t make it specific and complicated. Eat foods in their most natural form. Avoid frying your foods and avoid processed foods and refined sugars. It’s that easy.

Healthy is subjective. Some people need more carbohydrates/sodium depending on activity level like athletes. On the other hand some people need less like a sedentary individual.

The right type of beef jerky can be healthier -- in the USA, various Mexican owned supermarkets and grocery stores make their own beef jerky with much less salt than the commercial brands.

Well, Nutella is not healthy because of so much sugar. Sugar is toxic. Actually, having high cholesterol makes us live longer. I love pork rinds! Butter is healthy, margarine is not. I enjoy meat so much, and red meat is tasty and nutritious. Meat is the only food with all the nutrients necessary for survival. We don't need carbs. Animal food has healthy fats. Spicy food also helps us live longer. Let's all eat meat for being the best.

I would imagine that the excessive amounts of salt in commercial brands of pork rinds make it unhealthy. In the USA, Mexican owned supermarkets and grocery stores make their own pork rinds (and beef jerky) that contain much less salt.
