@@SwitchSummit You can also hurt him with his ball attack without Swordfighter or any echoes, as it has homing, and if you go in a giant circle to lead it back to Ganon it just hits him - and he won't even try to hit it back.
I'd love to see a mod that makes you need to collect a shimmer for every echo used (like, you'd have to stock up if you wanted to summon a barrage of crows) or something like that. The automatons get so little use, so really anything that changes stuff to make the automatons more prevalent would be fun to see. I did a playthrough where I couldn't use monster echoes for combat, only object echoes, swordfighter form, and automatons (only exception was using Freezard for the two ice-required bosses since snowballs didn't seem to work, and using monsters for non-combat) and still never got a good chance to use the automatons.
I'm thinking of doing a run where I do the same thing but with minimal swordfighter mode usage (since most of the bosses besides the two ice ones can just be slapped with the sword for an easy win) or a run where I do the opposite, minimal object uses, attempting to use only monster echoes, maybe still including the automatons since I still wanna see if I can do anything with them.
This little game did deliver. It has some of the most out of the box runs of any top down zelda game. Fascinating & thank you for sharing this with us.
11:18 You actually dont need swordfighter mode for this, you can summon a zirro using the summoning at a distance thing right at the spot where you need the bomb
Holy shit the rate of which the EoW videos are released is insane! Is it worth it to buy echoes? It seems many people seem to be making EoW videos right now, and I'd like to watch then without getting spoiled, but I'm not sure if I'd be very interested in the gameplay. Is it like Links Awakening+Totk, are the dungeons any good? I'm not expecting a book-lenght answer but I'd like to know if iyo it was worth buying. I hope the algorithm likes the comment lol
I personally don't have it because I don't have a Switch with me at college, but I think it would be worthwhile. Also, you don't have to worry about the algorithm hiding your content because Switch Summit has way less viewers / subscribers than he should.
I think it's worth buying. The openness and sandboxiness does a ton for the replay value. If you want a more detailed review from me, I've already launched a 12 Flaws video, and I'll have a 12 Strengths video launching next week.
Echoes of wisdom is the best zelda game, it has the best parts of both classic and modern zelda, has incredible open-ended puzzles and the best soundtrack in the whole series, you have GOT to play it, it's really good!
Idea: minimum bind/reverse bind uses I feel like the only required use is the big rock (and even then you might be able to skip it) and then you can use -tulas for skipping reverse bind and being clever to avoid bind
Fun fact! You can even beat the final boss without using bind other than for the very final phase! It just takes some patience to wait for Link and your monster echoes to deal enough chip damage. (I somehow managed to go the whole game without realizing I could bind enemies I didn't summon...)
Next challenge, spider sequence break, get stronger echoes and use those to save on octorocks and urchins. Not shore how this works Youb used urchins, rock, peahat, more then once. ice, fire and electric enemies are good to use early on. For ensample you can take Ganon on wit just moa and his own weapon
Oooooh! That makes sense! Yeah I just got that this probably was the case when I saw him use the bomb spewing enemy to get up to hebra mountain around 16:05 cuz he used that one earlier in the fire dungeon. In my defence, it‘s almost 2 am here rn tho xD😅
You can damage Ganon with his own spear when he tosses it.
Ohhhh didn't know that!
@@SwitchSummitjust bind it into him

Wow, I could have made that battle a lot easier then! Sounds like only the first phase required an echo.
You're rapidly becoming one of my favorite challenge runners
I can't believe this channel has so few subscribers! I love all the ways you're pushing echoes of wisdom to its limits even without glitches

"And convince it to commit suicide" Was probably the best part of the video
Very cool idea!!
Ice Octo was 100% the champ of the run. Very cool strat there.
I am always surprised how many interesting challenges you find in this game, I thought minimum echoes was the only one.
Very impressive, it's so cool how this game has so many options to win
That movement tech at 16:08 was crazy lol

The clip afterwards he seemed to need swordfighter mode for though, so I don't think it made a difference in the total count unfortunately
I had already summoned a Zirro and bombfish so chose a swordfighter exception instead of a dupe echo.

It's worth buying, it's fun with a lot of room for creative problem solving

Another banger video - keep up the good work :)
You really are pushing the game to it's litmis. I'm not sure there are any other challenges you can do that will be more challenging than this one 😂

Could u do links awakening challenge run please :)

I only summoned each of those echoes once. The other times I used them, I took one that was already in the environment.
2:42 & 4:58 isn‘t that a dupe use?
The second time is not an echo, it’s moving the urchin that’s already in the room (hence doesn’t count as a double summon).
Well spotted though!

@ hahaha you’re all good bro I’m running on barely any sleep too 😂
