Criminally Underrated in the States. Per Usual.
No doubt. I have no idea why this isn't on every station
I'm 62 years young and I've been around some music, these musicians are phenomenal.
I agree ❤
💯
I'm 60 and agree
Have you heard a band called Nothing But Thieves? Also phenomenal musicians…I have seen them twice now and they’ve blown me away both times…I’m 61 by the way and a devoted Led Zeppelin fan after seeing them in August 79 🥰
I’m 69 & love them. Always a Stones man plus so many other bands over aeons. Ellie & her band work so beautifully together. Fine musicians.
I can't stop listening to this song. It's become a daily ritual.
mine too xx
yep!
Yeah, it’s got that perfect blend of poignance and uplift.
Well ben davis youre my daily ritual ya beautiful handsome nice person
Me too along with Delete the Kisses!
No matter what else is happening in the world, listen to this, and suddenly everything is alright.
All the vocals are absolutely incredible, only just started listening to WA and they’ve blown me away
Welcome to the gang👍
Welcome🎉🎉
same here, this song blew me away, its fantastic
Same - since early December of last year. I play their stuff regularly. Also: Ellie is so lovely.
Happy hunting welcome to the club 👍
Wolf Alice has gotten better with age. Fantastic.
She's singing with more power and confidence than ever.
@@j.kevvideoproductions.6463her confidence has grown so much the last few years. Ellie is amazing
When that riff kicks in. Just incredible
gives me chills. 👍🏼
One of the best songs i ever listened to from a song writer/producer perspective.
I couldn’t agree more!!
@@user-th4md7xf5y I actually disagree. Ok . . .You got me. I don't disagree. 😔
Ellie is in the big leagues now man. The entire band for that matter.
To all those that say they don't make music like they used to...Your right.
It only keeps getting better with every new generation
Will never get over how perfect this is...
It’s unreal to me that you never cry while playing your own music. It’s so damn beautiful
I thought that about Imagine dragons - Shots - Live from the smith center. How Dan doesn't well up from the sound of his own voice is beyond me
I would be a wreck, not even a little bit. Top comment.
I’m an old metal head from the 80s and my God this is beautiful.
indeed ❤❤❤
I have my laptop resting on my legs while I am in bed listening to this, and by the end of it there is a cartoon dynamite explosion outline of my chest and head behind me on the bedroom wall.... THANK you for creating something that TAKES US somewhere SO phenomenally NEW and powerful.
Ellie's vocal range is so incredible
"But to live in fear, isn't to live at all" favorite song on Blue Weekend 💙💙💙
I really think Ellie is talking about her and the band here. "Urgency takes hold". Realizing they have a "shot for a spot at the top" (Delicious Things). The next album is where they cement their status - as good as this one is.
Bit cheesy but good line nonetheless
@@theempire00 I don't think it's cheesy in that she's referring (mostly) to herself, but also the band and the scary prospect of being the biggest band in the world, and everything that entails.
@@dougcallaghan6075 I loooove this band (fan for 5-6 years). But they’re still quite far from being the biggest band in the world. Like really far.
@@theempire00 I agree to some extent, but I've listened to their dynamic hard rock songs, their intense punk songs and their well-crafted pop songs (Freazy, right out of the gate, is A-1) and their batting percentage is in the .900s. I've read dozens upon dozens of YT comments saying that "they just discovered this band" (I'm one of them). Each one of those people is going to recommend W.A. to a friend, and on it goes. The 2022 tour will further increase that buzz. I predict 2024 will be their big breakthrough. Next album. U.S. radio play will help immensely. I truly believe it's inevitable.
Their faces at the end say it all… they are so happy to be where they’re at now, with such an amazing third album out and wide, deserved recognition 🥰🥰 loved them since i saw them live in 2016 at bbk
Thats the face you make when you know you have made an awesome take and you know that you need to do nothing else, you nailed it. Which they did.
I work at festivals and saw them twice during 2018 circuit, once at Reading and once at Latitude.. she was wearing a wedding dress at latitude and did a very calm set.. leather jacket white tank top and denim jeans at Reading and played a rocky af set, one of the best bands to catch live as they give such a diff energy every time you get the chance to watch them.. hope I catch them this year as the new album is my favourite so far
I kinda wish they'd have done more of what the muppets do when they finish a number and really killed it - energetic nodding and looking around and going "Uh-huh! Uh-huh!" This fine take was definitely worthy of it!
This video has become somewhat of a daily ritual for me over the past few months. Never gets old.
I'm obsessed with this song, so glad they released this live version.
Me too this is a fucking addiction
Me three! The synth is much more profound in this version (esp. the beginning) than the one in the album and that sounds so good!
How in the hell is this so damn good live???!!! Amazing!
why does this song always make my cry , Really love Ellie's voice makes me shiver time after time ! love this band forever!
I got goosebumps on this as well 😎
I suspect it makes you cry because you have no real perspective on the realities of life. It is a brilliant song though. Quit crying and just enjoy it.
Love love this song and Wolf Alice.
@@ttred1962 no one asked for your opinion you sad weeny
Emotions are powerful things, this song evokes them. There's no shame in reacting powerfully to such potent music, it takes courage to do so. Hopefully, the insecure poster above who felt the need to belittle you will someday learn the same bravery.
This is a band at the top of their game. Simply brilliant.
One of the most amazing vocal performances ever. Ellie is the epitome of a rockstar and her vocals are off the chain.
Can’t wait to see these guys live !!
Her vocals are on another planet 🌎
My god Ellie has done such good job on training her voice. I've seen them from when they first started touring Europe and honestly the whole band has gotten zo good technically its pretty insane. Can't wait to see them this year! I hope Covid doesn't ruin shows again, i got so many planned:|
Same here, but don't be too optimistic. The European tour for Feb is already postponed.
Her voice is the 5th instrument
LOVE THIS SONG LOVE THIS BAND
Ellie is looking so gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Just discovered this band.. Been a loooong time since a band of this quality has come around
No idea how this ended up in my recommendations but I guess sometimes UA-cam does actually get it right because this is very, very good!! The riff starting at 1:48 is everything!!
I am 63 this group is brilliant
This is freaking beautiful, no emoji required. I love the way she pushes her hair back at the end!
One of the best bands out there. Ellie’s voice is a god damn revelation!
Sounds even better than the Album version
The album version is cool but this is a better representation of the song and her vocal range is incredible.Plus tight musicianship from the entire group.
her vocals are just incredible
this is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard...
This is one of the most beautiful live performances I have ever heard
Ellie keeps getting better and better and the band was flawless.
Stellar, great mix, great vocals. They're like a modern Fleetwood Mac
Great fucking shout!
This band is SO GOOD. I can see and hear all of the rock influences that led to Wolf Alice going back 10, 20, 30, and 40+ years. They have it together totally. Bought their first album about 3-4 years ago. Nice to see a "new" one out! Cheers. Phenomenal.
That little smile at the end says, "I think we nailed that one".
I just discovered this band a couple days ago and I am literally shaken to my core. A simply stunning sound.
Same here!! I'm so glad I found them, I think they are going to be a big part of my healing journey!!
@@brittanyhall7119 I started listening to them around when I started recovery for a variety of mental health issues and their music gave me so much power, I really hope it can help you like it did for me :)
You could quite easily think you were listening to the album version here. Recorded after take after take, overdubbing and mixing. But, no. This is played live to perfection - precision and feeling by all the band.Fantastic.
I agree!
Absolutely stunning. What a band, what a voice, just love them so much
omg Ellie's voice in this is immense. One of my favourite bands of today. Amazing music.
i love how they all smile at the end, like yeah that was incredible
My two young daughters are now massive fans and know all the words, amazing :) truly a great band from my neck of the woods.
Quality music, nice. Try London Grammar also.
An absolute masterclass in creating a perfectly measured, considered and relevant piece of music. The internet is flooded with emotionless music, this reaffirms my belief. We can’t thank you guys enough for giving us a reason to listen... xxx to all of you.
I've been on the 10 year journey with the band. It's time to face the facts...Wolf Alice can do no wrong.
this song never fails to leave me breathless. holding my breath for 3+mins :')
Quite likely the finest group on the current scene, mainly because they can really play and play so brilliantly together as a unit. This is the A Team of bands. Go see them live to fully appreciate this collective talent.
A masterpiece.
I can't imagine the feeling of creating something that perfect in real time.
Unforgettable
Superb live version of this incredible song! Thanks guys! I turn 70 next month, and I sincerely hope you are all still making great music long after I'm gone!
I'm heading towards my seventy second tour around the sun. I love these guys too. The music is so eclectic and damn she has a great voice.
This made me cry. What a beautiful sentiment. I hope you have a lovely day, thank you for that little moment of joy and love for humanity
@@deadpixie You're welcome! ❤❤❤
Amazing … like they are slowly tuning in the intensity of the connection to the audience!!!
Absolutely epic, gorgeous, emotive, expressive, magical. This is one of those examples of music that is so unique, it is almost impossible to properly explain in words how incredible it is. It literally gives me the chills. Coming from a metal guy.
Her voice gives me chills.
Amazing vocals from Ellie, she has developed her control and range tremendously!! well done.
Well, if you are wondering, yeah, this is talent, pure, simple, genius talent!
This song helped me get through a short but tough period in my life. Thank you so much, guys!
WHAT A VOICE CONTROL
The opening of this song sounds heavenly. Makes me feel like I’m in the clouds.
This version of this song is one of my all-time favorite songs. It's THAT good!
Ellie is sublime here with those different tones, and harmony; outstanding!
Her voice is so amazing on the song 💖
This is just sublime. A while since ive listened to Wolf Alice, and forgot just how talented they are.
I'm actually speechless ! the vocals are better here ,than the studio recording IMO.
I really love this live version, her voice was so clear and powerful. And the instruments were perfectly blended too
Ellie's vocals! Wow! Gorgeous song.
Best song on the record.
On the Album of the Year.
Been in love with these 4 since I first saw them in a tiny bar in L.A. back in 2014.
Exquisite performance. Ellie's smile at the end is priceless.
This music makes me feel things I haven't felt in forever... keep going back to them every weekend
Speechless. I’m pretty new to wolf Alice but I can honestly say I’m a little bit obsessed. The vocals on Ellie are amazing and the pure commitment from everyone…….this song is on repeat repeat repeat!
She did such a great job here. Notes of Aimee Mann and KD Lang but very much her own thing. Cheers to her!
The No.1 rock band in the world today.
That’s remarkable. Ellie’s vocal is perfection.
Wolf Alice thank you for giving the world this Earworm ❤❤
just flat-out f'ing outstanding. wow.
fell in love with this band watching this
this song would bring me back from the dead
Absolutely addicted to this song
the audio set up on this session is insane..her voice is just beautful
I totally love this song. Ellie's voice warms my soul.
If they'd had a live audience for this performance they would've errupted! This live version is somehow better than the original recording, absolute perfection, they deserve more!
Ellie has such a powerful voice.
There are not too many bands past or present that can perform a song like this so flawlessly live, true talent
First heard this song playing in the background of Eastenders on a recent episode and had to find out what it was. Been hooked ever since. One of the best female vocals I have ever heard! Totally blown away ❤
I’ve only just discovered this amazing woman, what a fantastic voice.
That drummer they have, he's got more style in his music than...he's just ajoy, everything done with such feel and vivre -the whole band is just mesmerizing
That is a really really good song. Wish I'd written it. Wish I could sing it lol. First thing I've heard for ages that's made me feel something.
Bought album because of this. Looks like I'm a bit late to the party :)
Amazing musicians and thoroughly lovely people too, fan for life
Ellie's voice sounds like music thats coming direct from heaven.
i dont listen to the radio any more, dont know what the top 40 is or was for last 20 years. can anyone tell me if this IS…or WAS…a hit on the radio? if this didnt…or wont…win the GRAMMY…i dont know what could. this 60 year old man labeled as “hard” didnt know he could cry. good job, WOW. amaz8ng what can be done with simple beat
Dammmn Alice. Smashing those nostalgic Fleetwood vibes
This is about my 10th watch in the last ~24 hours. Watching/listening to her belt towards the end is just amazing.
Shades of Chrissy Hynde's vibrato..... Nice. I think I could dig this space and time.
I’ve been listening this over what, a year now? Randomnly and frequently :D . Now again. This is the best version (Y).
Ellie has came along way! this little princess can really sing! I love these kids they are a breath of fresh air , they are special they can play some smooth groovy stuff and hard stuff most bands play one sound their whole career this is true talent, that’s one thing I appreciated about (no doubt) once I listened to their entire music catalog, I realized those kids could play all types of different sounds of music ! which is rare in the music industry.
Her voice is so amazing on this song that I actually had to go back to other videos to see if it was the same person.
A friend just introduced me to WA and I am slightly obsessed♥️ Her voice is angelic🤍
I don't know a word beautiful enough to describe her voice. Deeply touching for sure. This song just left me mesmerized and 5 minutes went by like 5 seconds.
I’m an old rock fan going back to the seventies, but I love this great young band. They have a dynamic and a chemistry that gets your attention. And this song is tight and melodic.
