Another joins the triple jackhammer cult Some tips for thee: You don't need to use a full impact to kill a Maurice, a Knuckleblaster punch can bring you over the threshold. It's easy to land during the hitstop but do keep in mind that the Jackhammer has more range than the Knuckleblaster, so I'd suggest going for the punch first. An easy way to add an extra 7+ damage per hit is to do a KB punch before triggering the hitstop, then launching the Sawed-On's chainsaw. Make sure you punch first, unless the damage gets reduced from the KB untethering the chainsaw. Make frequent use of the core eject's alt fire. Hitting a core with the primary fire turns it into a hitscan that deals 7 damage, dealing the same as a yellow gauge hit without having to get up close. The cooldown is only a second, meaning you've basically got a spammable MalRail. You can use it to deflect projectiles back into enemies as well, making it a great substitute for the Sharpshooter revolver. A great way to absolutely devastate an Insurrectionist is to do a hammercore (core eject hitscan) to set it on fire, then follow up with a max overpump full impact with a Knuckleblaster hit, then another full impact with the chainsaw, then finish off with another hammercore. This combo is nearly enough to outright kill them, and can easily be finished off with a rocket or yellow gauge hit.
This really means a lot I appreciate that help, I'll lab those combos a bit in sandbox until I'm really confident with it but I never really thought about how to effectively use the jackhammer against Maurices since I usually only had to deal with one and it would recharge by the next room anyway, so that will be great to get used to! Much love now comes the grind
@@Cxnfusixn I forgot to mention, the chainsaw also allows you to instakill Virtues and Sentries with a yellow gauge hit too. Also, core nuking with the Jackhammer is still viable, however you have to get close to do it. Simply jump, launch the core, trigger the nuke and dash to avoid the damage. Slide or dash before the jump to close the distance if needed. I haven't practiced doing it airborne enough yet as it's more difficult, so I'd suggest sticking to doing it grounded at first.
Fun Trick to Do In The Cybergrind! Step 1. Line up multiple enemies with nails embedded inside them in a straight line. 2. Shoot your El. Railcannon! 3. Throw out all of your coins in the opposite direction of the enemies in Step 1. 4. Watch as the 40 enemies you had to deal with turns into.. mush and like now you have 2 enemies left and 1 schism in the background you have to deal with 5. Rinse and Repeat with the next wave!
Yeah it took me a while to realize the Power of the Conductor. And I used to doubt the triple jackhammer load out. But yeah if you are able to stay on top of it, it is so much DPS! And I had No idea Core Boosting with the Alt Core eject was so powerful. Especially making small nukes on yourself while riding a rocket. EDIT: Yeah I have been Speedrunning the game for a while now and Cybergrinding with this load out is Super Viable! (Besides the Default Attractor, you can use the Overheat for nails.) I realized that I hardly ever Pro-boosted anymore and tried out the triple jack and the ability to deal tons of damage to Priority targets is invaluable! Especially with Core Boosting, Punching a Coin and then Swapping to the Alt Core, and then hitting the coin with a boosted core is amazing AOE. It also works great with the SRS cannon. Just make sure to charge it up all the way so that it bounces higher so you have time to hit it with a boosted core and It's a Free Nuke Pretty much. Also, your Firestarter usage is Superb! Also funny, I think I literally have 10x the hours you do. About 4,700 as of now. But you are doing VERY well for someone with only a few hundred hours of experience
Thanks for all that info! I'm definitely gonna hit the lab a bit probably in sandbox to get more used to the jackhammers/conduction but yeah I definitely have a long way to go, not enough experience with the game at this level methinks. I never really thought much of my firestarter usage but the more I think about it I did subconsciously try to set fire to areas I knew things would run through so I know what I need to work on, much appreciated
(if you havent found this out already) to get max value out of the conductor nuke setup, you have to shoot an ENEMY with as much nails as possible, and then shoot that same enemy with the electric rail. you can toss up some coins for additional damage from conduction too

you can still use the blue alt nailgun, you just have to swap to green to get +CONDUCTOR
