History of the Vietnamese Dong

- The first Vietnamese Dong was first introduced in 1978 after the unification of North and South Vietnam. As time went on the denominations started getting larger. This would be the start of hyperinflation in the country. Eventually the first series of Dong banknotes were replaced by a second series and eventually new larger issues were released as time progressed. In the early 2000’s new polymer banknotes were issued, and they are still in circulation. The durability and added security features of polymer make the material very attractive for Central Banks. The current largest denomination banknote is the blue 500,000 Dong. It features former leader Ho Chi Minh on the front as do all other current banknotes.

Can i said to the banknote world channel as a vietnamese that the information that you said about the first dong is printed in 1978 is kind of wrong,actually the first banknote that we print to use it when unification it was printed in 1968 to prepare for 1975.Even know that we still use the old Republic of vVietnam note after unification but only a few day,then we change the money with the 1968 one.and the collection of 1978 it not contain the rov note.And yes you are right with the inflation but until 1985 when we change the currency into new one,it start inflation.from 1990 to 2000 we use the cotton one with the lowest is the 100 dong note to 100.000 dong note.Until the 2003,we are officialy change the cotton one int polymer.Your video is great quality but it need more information of the timeline of using the money in order to not making wrong of the information of the history.Keep going!:)

I would love to see a video about the new banknotes from Mexico.
This are the banknotes:
50 mexican pesos - Axolotl.
Historical period: Foundation of Tenochtitlán.
Ecosystem: Rivers, lakes and the Xochimilco lake. (To launch in 2021.)
100 mexican pesos - Poet and writer Sor Juana Inés de La Cruz and the old College of San Ildefonso.
Historical period: Colonial era.
Ecosystem: Temperate forests, pines, oaks and the Monarch butterfly.
200 mexican pesos - Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and José María Morelos y Pavón.
Historical period: Mexican independence.
Ecosystem: "El Pinacate" biosphere reserve in the state of Sonora, deserts, shrubbery, saguaros and the golden eagle.
500 mexican pesos - Benito Juárez
Historical period: The restored republic of 1867 and 1876.
Ecosystem: "El Vizcaíno" biosphere reserve in Baja California Sur, coasts, seas and islands with the gray whale and its calf.
1,000 mexican pesos - Francisco I. Madero, Hermila Galindo and Carmen Serdán and the locomotive.
Historical period: Mexican revolution of 1910.
Ecosystem: Humid jungles, the ancient Mayan city of Calakmul in Campeche and the jaguar.
These are colors:
50 - Announced in 2021.
100 - Red.
200 - Green.
500 - Blue.
1,000 - Gray.
There's a possibility that they launch a 2,000 peso banknote if it's neccessary in 2023, the historical period is gonna be the contemporary Mexico in the obverse will feature writers Octavio Paz and Rosario Castellanos and the reverse will feature the ecosystem of dry forests, the Maguey bat, agave landscape and old industrial facilities of Tequila.
