There is everything from European, Japanese, Indonesian, Belarusian, and Omani banknotes. Most people choose banknotes for their collection based on specific themes like ocean life, birds, architecture or notable people. There is no denying that for whatever reason you pick a banknote; there will always be some story or history lesson to learn from it.

Oh, how I would love to have a job working with banknotes. My favourite banknotes are from the currencies of the British Empire, particularly British Colonial Hong Kong Dollar notes.
French Colonial banknotes are the most beautiful, they are like small works of art.

I love banknotes from africa! They usually feature rich colours with amazing designs. Also, sometimes animals pop up too, which I really like to see

IMO, Euro is easily the dullest looking currency design. I'm happy that Swiss didn't join the E.U. (Part 2 of this series, anyone?)
It was made "dull" to not show any favoritism to any particular country. Each of the designs can be from multiple E.U. countries, that is why I like it :D
@@BanknoteWorldOfficial as a banknote collector I would prefer more lively banknotes, No one wants dull banknotes because of the diplomacy of the EUROPEAN UNION. It's a shame that all the different European countries cannot Express their culture, history and heritage through banknotes. I know the euro had to be brought into the game because of the currency conversion crisis in all of Europe but the better option would've been that all countries adopted the euro but every country had it's own design on the banknotes and the different countries' euro could've been traded at the same rate.

I have a portfolio of the more modern banknotes that have been released within the last 10-15 years, which I've noticed consists mostly of polymer notes. As countries release newer series, naturally I'll add those to my portfolio. Though I do focus on acquiring uncirculated banknotes, I don't dive into the grade and serial # aspect of banknote collection, so I suppose I would consider myself a basic collector. Thank you Banknote World, for the times you sold on eBay, which afforded me the opportunity to add to my collection.

My favorite banknotes are persian banknotes. They are beautiful with rich history.
I actually just recently got my hands on one of the newer Indonesian Rupiah banknotes. The 50,000 rupiah to be exact. The National Hero depicted on the front is Djuanda Kartawidjaja (1911-1963). A former Prime Minister of Indonesia, and member of the Indonesian National Party. In fact, Kartawidjaja was the last Indonesian Prime Minister before they switched to Presidents.
The Juanda International Airport located in Sidoarjo, East Java is actually named after him.

Hello. This is my first time on this channel.
I started a collection of banknotes around 7 years ago. They are not rare, most if them are still legal tender to retired/out of circulation notes from Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Cuba, UK, EUR, Chile. Once I won a sort of raffle for 40 USD in Dominican Pesos, hard to change in cash houses even on airports.
I don't even have a vinder for it. I have them on a Ziploc bag.

My favourites are the Japanese banknotes especially the ¥2000 and the Australian banknotes (paper) especially the $100.
Japanese banknotes do have a very classical and memorable design as do Australian banknotes 😁

I like banknotes from Cape Verde, Aruba, and England. The swiss franc and the euro has some nice currency. And I think your lucky to have the 500 euro banknote in UNC condition!
The 500 Euro is definitely getting rare now that it is no longer being printed

I love to collect banknotes as well as coins but i don't like to collect old type of coins and banknotes i love to collect that type of currency that is currently being used in that country or in other words i love the art , the color and the design of that currency
