I would love to see your Granulating mixes when you do them! ❤️ I love to find new color recipes!😍 I am just learning Watercolor and I I have always been fascinated by color! Thank you!🥰
Hey Dawn, thanks for letting me know you'd like to see the (more successful mixes) I come across. Always such a motivator 😊 and from all fellow watercolor artists to you: welcome, we're happy to have you on board 😜
I can't get enough granulating paints and thanks to your video Daniel Smith Minnesota Pipestone is on its way to me now! Lovely presentation as always!
Think I'm going to have to put the Schmincke super granulating set on my Christmas list! Thank you for showing the beautiful swatches. I found it super interesting and very relaxing 🥰
Thank you for a great video. I have the majority of Schmincke pigments that are in the super granulating mixes. I enjoy playing and mixing my own. :) The swatching was very close up and a joy to watch. I look forward to more of your vids. Your audio is so much better. Yay!!! 😆
@@myfantasticalimaginarium1890 i probably have more than I should, but its been my only hobby for the last few years. Im not near all my swatches right now, but my last bit of fun was mixing ultramarine blues and PV15s with turquoises and greens. (Pb28, PG50, PG26, and PG18 ) I still need to work out my ideal ratios. I think Potters Pink mixes will be next. :) Are you mixing any of your own?
@@TracyIndy Oh that sound like lovely cool colors. Not mixing any at the moment, but that projects is next on my list. Was gonna start but somehow I've gotten infatuated with painting abstract landscapes with granulating paints and have been doing nothing else since 😅
all of those are lovely but i particularly loved that Schmincke caput mortuum and the pattern it makes when it reacts to water drops. I think it suits your style of work perfectly ^_^ I hope you have fun with the specialty palette!
Thanks Magenta! I really love that caput mortuum too, I have to admit it does have an eerie sounding name that also had made for some fascination with this color haha 👻
@@myfantasticalimaginarium1890 yes you are absolutely right! I think they used that name in alchemy for "waste" materials of organic matter, I might be mistaken though ^_^ It sure sets the mood though, both with the mysterious latin name and the way it makes every painting look gritty :)
I like 2 colours the most from the whole Schmincke granulation series. Tundra Violet and Forest Grey. I tried mixing these colors, but I didn't get the same result as when I bought the colors already mixed. I don't know why. Beautiful videos, please continue. And plus your super relaxing voice...
St. Louis art supply has the new Schmincke super granulating sets…even HAZE. I ordered on Thursday and had it Monday… I am building a super granulating palette now.
Ohh soo cool!! How many colors will you have in your palette? And im absolutely in love with one of the haze colors but the other four are quite similar to paints I already own so I'm hoping they will sell the colors seperately as well soon. I'll jump on that color immediately then haha
The Mahogany Brown and the Cobalt Green (PG26) are great! I got them recently to mix. I only got 5mLs and I think they'll get upgraded eventually. The granulation is unique to each I find.
Thank you so much Blissful 🤗 it's still such a surprise to see people watching my videos at all, let alone know that my video has reached Canada 🤯 thanks for letting me know, it's such a good motivator to keep going 😊 oh and ofcourse : hello from the other side 👋
Again, great video.
Thanks so much for your teachings you have helped me alot
I'm so glad!😊
You are a godsend. Thank you very much. 🤗

It’s now a year on….did you do a vid of your own mixing?
I can't get enough granulating paints and thanks to your video Daniel Smith Minnesota Pipestone is on its way to me now! Lovely presentation as always!
Thank you Kelly :) I hope you enjoy the Minnesota Pipestone paint as much as I do 🤗

Happy to help poodle! I'm still working on my list too, any tips are welcome 😊
Minnesota Pipestone was used by the Sioux to make ceremonial pipes.
Hey Dusty, thank you for this info. That makes it an even more special mineral in my opinion 😊
We still use the stone for our ceremonies. ❤ Wopila, for acknowledging us 🤗
Fun stuff, thanks. I’ve also been investing more in tubes to mix my own custom mixes and empty half pans.
Very welcome! And I love working with paint out the tube but pans are less wasteful imo so I do pour them out in a palette.

You must have quite the array of paints 🤭 have you found any mixes that you enjoy? So glad to hear the audio is better, learning as I go haha

Those are very good choices. I'm not sure what my top 3 would look like 🤔

I can’t tell from the videos but are you applying your paint to pre moistened paper? Your voice is so easy to listen to!
Thank you so much! The paper isn't pre moistened.

Yeah they are great granulators, I've been working on my mixes with them :)
I would love to see a color mixing video
