This absolutely looks so natural, like the edge of a river bank with little fish darting in and out, so very cool and colorful, I love those twigs, their color alongside the redness of the perfectly scattered leaves...yes perfect, the fish are just the icing on the cake...job well done, my eyes are totally satisfied with this effort !!!

I really like the "finger wood" I agree about the Catawba leaves.. I started just putting mine in the aquarium to and letting them do their "tannin things"😁

MD you are probably one of the most sympathetic Aqua-Tubers and I love your tanks! Though in my opinion those small tanks are not big enough for Apistogramma or tetras. So many people see you as a role model, for the sake of many fish you need to get this right in my opinion 😬

the natural bio types are a good way for the hobbyists to keep replicate their natural environments! ( maybe try a fish tank with models of shopping trolleys, old bikes etc, for the purists out there!

MD, love each build you do. I've been keeping fish for over 25 years and always look forward to your uploads........but, for the first time I need to say something. Red Wood with glowlight tetras. Superb tank but the fish sort of vanish against the wood. Maybe lemon tetra would have been a good contrast. That said, great scape and keep them coming. Love the videos

Imo the bright green in the background is a bit disconcerting. Any red/brown stem plants you could try back there and really embrace the hue 👌🏻

Would love to see a feeding the fishes video across all your tanks.
I always shove my Indian almond leaves behind my sponge filters or the filter intake. I am trying to hid those things with the scape already so you can't even them to begin with. Except for my betta tank where I just put them on the top until they sink. Gives Rufus some nice shade to hang out in until they sink.

I think you should start composting the excess floaters and the trimmings off your plants. Feed them to worms and use the vermicastings in a tank with soil under the sand

I'm surprised to see you put the pebbles in first before the sand. Imagine if one fell while you were placing them. I'd always be in fear of that because of cracking the glass. But it looks really good as do all of your scapes :)
I am doing my first tank and would like to get some advise to what fish that i should consider getting. Of course i am gonna do My research before getting any fish.
Some fish can be hard to get becuase the hobby isnt that big where i live.

love the sparse planting, but would love to see just a few like maybe 3 more little foreground to mid ground plants in between rocks & sprouting out from the “roots.” i think it would bring the realism to another level!
