Buy more Corys....and just get the rest of the male congo tetras .... you need a much larger school of Congos for that tank and 6/9 is a perfect ratio.

if you look hard enough there should be a good one near you. i have a local maidenhead aquatics and a smaller lfs with rarer nano species called sweet knowle aquatics

Congo Tetras, beautiful fish with fins like fairy wings, i had those and Harlequin Rasboras a happy happy tank.
Been here since the start in the first shed 👍 be good to see some more jars and bowls I have 6 on my coffee table because of you ! 🤔 Growing you're own live food would be good to see I recommend starting with White worm cultures . Nothing better than a good fish shopping trip 👍

Great video and great choice on the corydoras. Smudge spots are great, i have kept and bred them for 10 years all the same group. Colder water changes will trigger breeding.

I can relate, I can't go into shops and browse. I have to phone in, order, walk in and sprint out. It's triple dangerous for me because I have decommissioned tanks that would take me 0 time to recommission, so the old "I don't have room" excuse doesn't work. My inner fish hoarder just reminds me "you have x spare tanks... remember."

Used to work at MH Taunton. Matt and Martin are 2 of the most knowledgeable fish keepers and genuine people so if you need good advice I'd definitely recommend going there!

When it comes to leaving a few Congo males with the store...just take them all ! If they are new, you run the risk of loosing one or two,( doesn't that sound like a good reason ? ) So, when you go back for the other Cory's...get the rest of the males & if you need another point of validity... and you want to stay true with your math equations, just get a couple more females 😁 These babies get better with age, ( mine lasted to about 6 years.), so your investment now will be a huge payoff in time.
Also, VERY IMPORTANT !!!.... the new fish need to be slowly acclimated to the chemistry of the water, along with temperature. Your Congo's look in shock because they probably are. Look up the drip method to get an understanding. Even a few digits off is enough to affect them, so take the extra step...your fish will thank you for it,

Good old maidhead aquatics. All I use now. They're Fantastic.
Inspired by your videos I started with plants. All my plants are looking brown and dirty😞. I took out everything and redid it. Same results after 2 days. How do your plants look so green and fresh?
