Great flying, CMDR! I'd put an anaconda together with those plasmas, and it was also pretty effective, but not nearly as fast. Timing that second shot on a cyclops before the panic shields raise is a skill I don't quite have yet.
Thanks! Yeah, the margin of error for that second shot to actually hit the Cyclops is around 210 milliseconds, as the Panic Shields activate in 2.18 seconds once the HP threshold is crossed and Plasma Chargers take 1.8 seconds to charge and 0.17 seconds to travel 1 km. I've found that releasing the volley just a moment before it's fully charged helps improve the consistency of the second shot landing on the hull and not the shield.
I'm currently running 3 modshards on my Chieftain along with 3 standard shards to prevent cooking to death. Looks like I need to grind for these SPCs. They sound so cool.
They're much heavier on the Distributor, so if you do grab the SPCs I'd also recommend grabbing a Weapon Focused Distributor to help give them a little more sustain out in the field :D
@@CMDRTheRiz This is indeed what I discovered over the weekend. I'm running High Capacity with Super Conduits currently (counterintuitive I know). ugh, that looks like illegal ammount of fun. Good thing I have spent entire evening yesterday farming Guardian weapom blueprints to buy 6 mod shards and 6 mod PCs
Both the 3F and 5F Stabilizers are available at the various Rescue Megaships stationed throughout the Bubble; I got mine at the one in Ross 112. Edit: Unfortunately, I'm not seeing anywhere that they're available in Horizons. In addition, I believe the Rescue Megaships (and therefore the Stabilizers) are in Odyssey only.
If Odyssey's still-broken Bullet Magnetism (Confirmed / Acknowledged Issue Tracker Report: issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/49831/ ) is any indication, I think FDEV might take quite some time to fix it - that is, if they are even able to. The Multi-Hit Bug is an inherent issue with the entirety of Elite's hit registration system, as it also appears in the form of one-shot Executioner or Tormentor kills on while foot; fixing that complex of an issue would probably require quite a few manhours to sort out.
Shutdown Field Neutralizers can be found either at the Rescue Megaships or at Military-economy Surface Ports, such as Tucker Survey in my home system of 25 Nu-2 Draconis.
Weapon Focused | Super Conduits on a 7A should give enough Capacitor power to charge and fire two 6-SPC volleys. If we bank one volley beforehand and allow the Distributor to recharge, we can fire off 3 full volleys in 3.6 seconds for 1,260 MJ worth of AX damage when within the 1 km Damage Falloff Start. Adjusting for the various Interceptor Hull Hardness values, I think that's enough damage to exert the first heart of at least a Medusa. It looks like 6 SPCs on that Distributor fall just short of exerting the first heart of a Hydra at 19.4% HP damage, not accounting for the passive Hull Regen. A fourth volley will probably do it. An 8A Weapon Focused | Super Conduits Distributor on your Corvette should allow you to charge 3 full volleys, but only with 5 Medium SPCs. The sixth will have to be a Small, while I don't have an accurate Active Charge Draw for the Small (the value listed in Outfitting is only its minimum Distributor Draw), I still think you'll be able to get 3 full volleys (4 with one banked beforehand) on that Distributor.
They can be unlocked by first becoming allied with the Azimuth Biotech Minor Faction, which can be done from the Glorious Prospect megaship stationed in LHS 1163. Then, they will issue you a permit to the Mbooni system, where the Salvation Plasma Chargers can be purchased from the Tech Broker at Prospect's Deep. Something to note: Salvation Plasma Chargers are purchased with materials on a per-module basis, rather than being a one-time unlock like the standard variant.
The new Experimental Weapon Stabilizer allowes you to put on more guardian weapons. There is a Module 3 variant which allows 1 plus weapon and there is the Module 5 variant for 2 more weapons.
there's a module to buy to "stabilize" the extra AX weapons, size three for 1 extra weapon, size 5 for two - so you potentially trade hit points or cargo for the extra punch
Thanks! Interceptors do not deploy their Thargon Swarms at the Planetary Port CZs; however, they will deploy them if they manage to exceed an altitude of ~150 km, which can happen on occasion as Basilisks tend to forget "Forward" exists on their throttles down there.

@@Sir-Complains-a-Lot I don't want to modify the new be-weave for Cutter because there is a Prismatic. I want to know which shield is more profitable for AX now.
I went with the Bi-Weave over the Prismatic mostly because of power limitations on my 8A Armored | Monstered Powerplant (6 Salvation Plasma Chargers eat up more power than my thrusters 😱), and for faster HP regeneration between damage phases without the use of Shield Cell Banks. There's also the familiarity aspect for me, as I almost exclusively run Hybrid setups on my ships with a decently-sized Shield and a strong hull, Armored Powerplant and at least two MRPs underneath. It's definitely an off-meta choice, and while probably not the best one for AX combat, it held up surprisingly well against that Hydra.
