You don't need to use silent running. I have 5 beams which keeps my temp at 0 and 2 huge plasma with plasma slug. When Fa-OFF no one can target me in my vette and all their shots miss. Thargoid war taught me that.

Turn off a shield generator, cause the only Thargoid weapon against a shield is a lightning. And It does not use it if there is no shield ;) PS It’s a good chance to grind few Federation ranks in Sol now I think. To get a Corvette and a an additional slot for a beam laser with a thermal vent effect.

This seems like a great idea, but I'm having trouble focusing fire. I've used 4 mod shards with a Phantom with success, but I absolutely love the Clipper and would love it to work. Advice? Tips? Do I have to use flight assist off?

The hitboxes for the shields while on foot are absurd. It's better to hop into a SRV, drive off a bit then exit. You can then use the SRV for cover.

You probably could've finished off that second cyclops before it got its shields up, but I guess having a fighter out at the time is style points lol

Shot guns got nerfed?

Yesterday I bought my first Cutter, assembled it according to your build and engineered it almost to the maximum. I really like its visual style, an interesting contrast after the geometric shapes of the Corvette and the spartan Anaconda. BUT! The location of one of the Shard Cannons on the side really infuriates me, it’s just terrible 🙂 I just can't shoot in the point like on Anaconda

While I like how the plasma chargers look, I seem to play hell keeping them on target like I can the mod shards.

I like the Cutter, but I prefer the mod shards over plasma chargers.

Awesome! I never knew, that AX Taipans make quick work with those scouts :O Thinking of a nice and cool AX Type 10 with AX Taipans, to keep those pesky scouts away. :)

Why kinetic weapon? I usually just make my way through with Plasma shotgun, after I clear defence drones with Scorpion SRV.

An immortal scout? ...did he screw up while making that resource extractor beam? This mission is very beautiful, I would be afraid to fire missiles at the station, I would never want the station to start shooting at me! The last time I disliked a station it ended very badly hahaha! Please tell me something: isn't it worth activating the anti-aircraft defenses once the station's generator is turned on?

Recently watched a video from Down to Earth Astronomy called Insta Kill Thargoid, and how fixed guardian shard cannons can two shot a cyclops, i’m wanting to get into killing thargoids instead of always space trucking.

You can also use shard cannons and just insta gib them.

Ça fait bien 2 ans que je n'ai pas touché à Elite Dangerous et je ne sais pas si je vais m'y remettre un jour. Mais ça fait plaisir de voir qu'ils continuent de rajouter des trucs dessus, notamment de nouveaux vaisseaux thargoids. D'ailleurs, étant donné qu'on peut maintenant équiper son vaisseau de 6 armes AX, et bien que ce soit peut-être déjà le cas, je n'en sais rien, j'ai vu pour le Titan mais on ne peut pas l'affronter directement de ce que j'en sais, ou du moins on peut juste affronter ses tourelles, je me demande s'ils n'ont pas prévu d'intégrer un intercepteur plus puissant que le Hydra, histoire d'équilibrer un peu le truc.

Geez it's like shooting paintballs. Those shots should travel more than 200fps. ED ground combat sucks. They should have implemented realistic gun physics with shots velocity close to 1500fps

Can this build give a chance to destroy anything more powerful than basilisk ,if you have 2 of such ships in your wing?
