hey dustin thank you for all you do over at revere being that im on the eastern shore its hard to find anywhere to start my glass journey until then ill be learning and learning from your expertise teaching and since coming across your channel its given me alot of inspiration and motivation to fight my mental health and keep on with the drive to succeed in my journey aswell ok sad note out of the way now back to the insanely epic camera angles. due to finantial troubles i cannot afford the classes just yet but soon i hope :) god bless you all!
Man my wife would love this pen! She’s an awesome person and has supported me in my glass journey. She got my ass sober almost ten years ago. She’s a great person.she has wanted me to make this for ever but she’d be stoked to have one made by you! Awesome videos as always I learn so much from you!
Thanks Dustin for making all of your fantastic videos throughout the years. I've been working with glass for over 15 yrs and I find these instructional videos very great and knowledgeable to watch.
Revere, thank you for all you have done. Hands down you were my inspiration for glassblowing some years ago. Been a while since I watched some videos, brings me back man!
I've been doing glass for 20 years and just because of your video I'm making a fountain pen this week 😁Thanks for the inspiration Revere Glass 👍I will upload a pic when mine is done.
Dustin, that was a really great message at the end of the video. This is someone that I would love to pursue, so it hit homr with me. I'm Only a few months in but making huge gains , bc you and your videos. Thank you you much!
Hey Dustin! Watching your videos for years has inspired me to start my glassblowing journey! I love the way encased opals look good in glass and love how many different uses there are for them! What is your favorite way to use opals in glasswork?
Been watching for years now and I've learned so much from your videos. Thank you for all the time you put in for us. I remember you mentioning it in a video once but I can't for the life of me remember what video it was in...what is your torch mounted to that allows it to move? I'm really interested in setting mine up similarly. Any info is much appreciated! Thanks again for all that you do and being you.
Absolutely beautiful pen set, this style of pen is what first sparked my interest in calligraphy so it's cool to see them getting the recognition they deserve! keep up the good work man :0 would love to see more of these
I’m stoked for the shirts and hoodie man, I’m going to scoop for sure! Great set too man, it’s beautifully clean and I would love to see how it writes. I’ve been into calligraphy for many years and love glass dip pens. I don’t have a cool mold, so I’ve found I get decent consistent results using 12mm daisy tubing from mountain glass filled solid with fine frit or small colored rod. I can’t tell you how long I struggled with function before adjusting to just snapping the tip off and honing with fine grit. I will try what you did though because that smooth tip is way cooler and I suspect writes like a dream.
Thanks for answering my question Dustin! Coincidentally I was also wondering if I could still buy the "My mom knows I make glass pipes" shirt. I thought I was too late to the party for one of those.
Love the inspirational message at the end. This pen and ink jar are so cool, I've seen lots of different glass pens but it was awesome to see one being hand made. Thanks for all of the videos, you're always making some great glass items.
You can get everything at Murano! You might actually want to walk on the streets like Calle Dietro Gil Orti, Calle Zanetti, etc. Everything is in the streets and people are very much friendly. Have fun on your trip!
@@revereglass Thanks I had an awesome time and got to purchase 5 tools from Roberto and visit the museum. Also had a chance to buy a couple cups from Cesare which was very cool. I learned you worked with him some time a couple years back which was pretty neat to know.
I have a mate that says he learnt everything he knows from you, he's colorblind but he still has a crack haha. thanks for being a fucking BEAST Revere. From down Under, much love as always
I should get a pair of did glasses first tho, with a hothead prop only torch I burned my eyes like welders flash. My boss thought I was playin hooky couse he never saw welders flash last two weeks. It was so painfull.
You can make a decent mold by putting maybe 2mm thick steel wire into a block of wood. Concept could be a multi size mold with 6 wire pieces, 8 wire pieces, and 10/12 wire pieces or whatever iteration. Think odd numbers too. Angle ~1 inch of tops of wires away from center of mold to make a good flared landing zone for the molten glass. Good luck translating this into makeshift molds, diy glass artists.
Oh opals, I'm sure as always I don't get these notifications till after they air so I never even get a chance at the giveaways 🤦. Not sure how that works lol.

Thanks for answering my question Dustin! Coincidentally I was also wondering if I could still buy the "My mom knows I make glass pipes" shirt. I thought I was too late to the party for one of those.
Wow amazing, hope I can make something like this
I really love mountain glass and what they do, my shop mate has given me a demo on encasing opals so it'd be sick to try it out
I've been wanting to make some of these for ages and not got to it yet. Thanks for the tips. Can I ask where you got your jack's from?

Where can I get a mold like that in the US? Are there other molds that could create a similar effect?
Love it
Thanks for this awesome video!
I'd love to win some oplas, haven't had the chance to play with them
Yo who made that rig with the waterfall?
Takoda Madrona made that beauty
How much does a saw help in your shop?
Hey man quick question, im going to Murano in about a couple weeks and id like to know some good places to go to to get tools, knowledge, experiences?
You can get everything at Murano! You might actually want to walk on the streets like Calle Dietro Gil Orti, Calle Zanetti, etc. Everything is in the streets and people are very much friendly. Have fun on your trip!

Amazing how easy you make it all look, I am so so far from that skill level, not even in the league
Do you do custom projects(preferably for less then $60)
What are the opals made of, i would love to save up enouf to get a torch.
I should get a pair of did glasses first tho, with a hothead prop only torch I burned my eyes like welders flash. My boss thought I was playin hooky couse he never saw welders flash last two weeks. It was so painfull.

From (limited) personal experience, keep the pen size small. We're making pens, not wands.
🔥
what happened to kevin?
please tag the artist that gets the pen if they allow it i would loooove to see what they create with that beeeauty 😻😻
Thank you for getting my last name right. Most people say Vincent for some reason.
opals yaaaaaaaaaa
Oh opals, I'm sure as always I don't get these notifications till after they air so I never even get a chance at the giveaways 🤦. Not sure how that works lol.
I want to win
