    The non Red Sport 3.0t is rated by Infiniti 300hp at crank but in actuality they make closer to 300 wheel hp. I have a 2019. Got it Ecutek dyno tuned at 3k miles. Many stock 3.0t cars make 285-290hp bone stock as seen on videos.
    My car got a (good quality) Mishimoto oil catch can installed at/after 400 miles while new)... Means no carbon buildup on intake valves to hinder performance. For fun at the last minute, day before tuning session i installed the Red Alpha intake kit for the 3.0t (Black Friday Sales Concept Z).
    Took the car in for the tunning session. My car baselined at 315hp with AMS intakes installed day before on a 63 degree day here in Texas in December 2019. Along with the 315.72 whp it made 333.56 torque.
    Then the car got tuned on 93 pump gas and produced safely 433.77whp and 513.14 torque at the wheels. All without any downpipes and the O.E.M exhaust kept. Note: before tuning day and weeks before a Burger Motorsports $299 heat exchanger was installed.
    So my conclusion, I would say that the AMS intakes did indeed allow the car to achieve at least an additional 15hp because of the baseline run recored by my car where without the tune it measured 315.72 hp.
    I am not and have not been a believer in most claims that buying aftermarket intake systems will increase hp more than 5hp, but the AMS air intakes did what AMS claimed. Also Important to note that the 15+hp is added to the higher rpm range/higher mph side of the dyno pulls and this is better because this is where the smaller stock turbos start to fall off. The extra bit helps where its most needed. This car has terrible low mph/off the line wheel spin because the amount of crazy low-end torque from the quick spooling twin turbos and Infiniti's use of their open differential. A limited slip diff is a much needed modification.
    I have the videos to view on my youtube channel.

After a while the pipes started to crack and was getting vacuum leaks. The dealer said the reason the stock pipes are accordion in design is to be able to flex when driving.

      The VR30DDTT motor responds the best to exhaust mods. I initially went with Fast Intentions (FI) LDPs & their resonated CBE, and then added a JB4. It would boost to 18 psi w/boost spikes to 21 psi, using a Map 6 and z tapered boost profile (max additional boost from 3k to 5.5k rpm). Recently, I've replaced the FI LDPs with Full Catted DPs, an Ecutek tune, and AMS Intakes. I'm using a 93 Octane map which boosts to 21 psi with minimal boost spikes and no KR, thanks to good tuning (SpecialtyZ).
      The FI Full Catted DPs are 3" diameter and reduce to 2.5" at the bottom flange, and uses GESi Cats $$$. The FI LDPs are 2.5" diameter and single mandrel bend, with only welds for the end flanges, O2 bungs, and mounting brackets. The FI CBE is 2.5" diameter, and uses an X-pipe for scavenging exhaust gases from the opposite cylinder bank. Although my exhaust setup is just over $3k ($1700 w/just LDPs), it certainly does the job and is extremely well-constructed and generates outstanding HP & TQ #'s. Depending on the dyno, with my exact setup, a Q50/Q60 Red Sport is capable of 425-435 RWHP, and 470-495 RWTQ. YMMV...

      Ours is still stock. We are, however, on our second one, and we have a third one just in case (*jinx*). The stock trans can handle the torque if the boost by gear and shift pressures are adjusted (ECUtek). However, you are on borrowed time. 500-550whp is no issue. We lost our first one when we were in the 600+range. We are at 764whp now and still on a stock trans.

    The time it took for the install allowed the car to cool down. That alone gained back that extra 10ft-bs of torque and 5hp. In other words. Dont waste $500 on an intake. This cars factory intakes were designed for a turbo motor. If there werent and you turbocharge it then yes you would see more reasonable gains.

There are apparently two different 7 speeds and there is one that is rated for higher torque, but isn't the same model/part number as the one in the 3.0TT. • @hawkman8835

      Back when the first run of VR30s were sold we had one q60S that was experiencing a very intermittent slip condition. Engineers were flown in from japan to inspect it and we ultimately ended up replacing the trans. Since then there has been a software update and we haven’t seen a single issue since. We have a few customers with tuned cars that dont seem to have any problems. I always tell people to wait at least a year before purchasing a newly released platform/engine to give the manufacturer time to iron things out.

    • @rafaelmramirez291
      @rafaelmramirez291 5 років тому +2

      Most dealers dont care about the exhaust portions during normal services. If you get a CEL, take off the tune, and any aftermarket parts before the CAT. Some of nissan/infinitis dealer diagnostic programs will red flag the vin as soon as it gets connected if you have a tune

    • @hawkman8835

      Any ECM alterations we can see through data monitor. I’d advise against it if you want to keep your warranty. If you’re leasing the car and not going to keep it than it won’t really hurt you in the long run. Just don’t blow up your motor 😏

      Hawkmann8835 if you buy another ecu and tune it. Then swap back to factory when you take it in. Is there a way the dealer/Nissan can tell?

    • @hawkman8835
      @hawkman8835 5 років тому

      Omar Reynold no you can’t. In order to replace the ecm you have to save calibrated data and write it to the new ecm. The new ecm I.d. is also written to other modules so they can communicate. On top of that the key fobs have to be programmed to the vehicle again.

    • @Corsaconcepts_
      @Corsaconcepts_ 5 років тому

      Very very high chances the hot air inside isn’t helping them gain much, let alone the stock exhaust doesn’t allow the flow well either. Wth good temps, heat exchanger and time they should of been pushing 420whp. With those intakes they should have been near the 435/40 mark. Heat soak is a killer..

      These turbos are absolutely tiny and do not push as much air as let’s say a 62, 86, or 92mm turbo pushes. This link explains the turbos and what can be achieved as far as pressures, psi, etc. when a rough tune is applied to one of these engines. This is why we need to stop measuring in PSI and start measuring in bar. 19psi from these tiny turbos is a fraction of the pressure and airflow produced by a 86mm or larger turbo.

      Yuhan Iriahuzla I think 3.0 t I have the 3.7 and if you really want power the 3.0 would give you more response with an an aggressive tune. Along the way you can upgrade the turbos and it’ll bee a 10s car for sure

      Looking at the fast list/dyno's online. E85 alone does NOT net +100whp. It requires a healthy amount of supporting mods to just crack into the 500s. Low 520s you'll need to modify the stock turbos. Anything beyond you'll need to ask AMS for their undisclosed mods. Most prefer dynojet too for the padded numbers. I would personally like to see some trap numbers on the 1/4 mile.

      Redsport has turbine speed sensors

    this math just isn't making sense... a Q50 comes stock at ~255 WHP, and just by adding a fuel pump, downpipes, intercooler, and a tune you got it to 500 WHP on E85? huh??
    this guy ua-cam.com/video/E2TIhK41Ur8/v-deo.html has twice the mods on a Red Sport (which if i'm not mistaken comes stock with already an extra 100hp over the non RS model) and only made 430 WHP

    • @majorgore3056
      @majorgore3056 2 роки тому

      Non RS comes stock with 300-315 wheel. With just a tune they make 400 and on E you can make another 50-60 hp
