Just did one of these today... Labor time is WAY off. this is a 8 to 10 hr job . Never again without replacing the entire HVAC unit. Its listed as not- repairable in Mitchell for a reason. What a nightmare. Sell the hvac box and get 8hrs labor, thats a fair amout of time. If your going to try to take the box apart add at least another 2hrs labor and be prepared to for a lot of donations to the curse jar.
Did you disconnect the battery when performing this job.? I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra that is leaking engine cooling fluid from the heater core, I am not quite shure if I need to remove all the dashboard.
I found a better way to take out the heater core. I disconnected the two aluminum pipes moved them away Just enought to let the core pass previously unscrewed (3 T20), I had to bent a 1x2 " Just 90degrees to make room to remover the Hester, I decided to reused the old aluminum pipes, unscrewed the accelerator pedal braket without disconnecting its sensor, put the new heater core, new orings and putting back all in reverse order. The old heater core has a black stain I am quite Shure it was the place were it was leaking engine cooling fluid. Replaced all the coolant as well.
hey i saw another video talking about when removing the steering to be careful not to move it to much cause something could break couldn’t understand to much since it was in spanish so you know anything about that?

Yes, you would need to disconnect the battery and also this would be the same exact job as in this video so you would have to do all of that as well.

Ok yea of course, there’s a sensor in the steering column that controls the horn and airbag so if you’re not careful you could damage it
Is a 2018 Sentra 1.8l evap core change out more difficult?
I haven't done a 18 but I think 16-19 are about the same, good luck ...

Thank you, glad it helped
I have a 2011 Sentra and all I did was take out my glove box and I could reach the core. 15 minutes.
