Hi nice video. Can we just cap off the two intake tubes and run the two catch can in's to the pcv and ccv and the other two out's - T'd off to the back of the intake manifold? Just to avoid any oil build up in the Intake pipes. Thanks! :)
We unfortunately did not test this method so we cannot confirm if there would be pressure issues by going this route.

what about the other hoses on each valve cover that connects to the intake tubes right before the throttle body. Isn't oil entering from there as well???
Some owners may find oil coming through this tube but the amount is significantly less than the 2 lines we're intercepting. We offer our universal baffled catch-cans separate for customers looking for more protection.
Isn't VQ37 engine MPI. Why a oil catch can is needed for it?
While the VQ37 is MPI the oil blow by getting into the system is still not something you want running through the combustion chamber. Head over to our site, we have pictures of the nasty stuff pulled from the cans after only 1000 miles.
I'm looking for a catch can for my Q50 2015 3.7. Is the engine bay on a G37 just like the Q50 3.7 2015
Unfortunate the Q50 was different enough that our catch can would not work in this vehicle.

I am new to the car world. Could someone explain me the purpose of an Oil Catch Can?
Oil catch can separates oil particles from PCV/CCV air system.
The engine's stock PCV system recirculates oil blow by from the pistons back into the intake to be burned. However, over time, this recirculates a mixture of gas, oil, carbon and moisture that can build up in your intake manifolds, valves, etc.
An oil catch can (at least a decent one) has either baffles or a bronze filter - or both - that catches this mixture before it goes back into your engine. The result is a cleaner engine and oil. An oil catch can is especially recommended on GDI engines (gas direct injection).
Port injection engines spray the gas into the ports which helps clean the valves and intake chambers. However, with DI (direct injection) engines, the gas is directly sprayed into the piston chamber which causes the valves to eventually develop carbon build up.

Your intake shouldn't affect the catch-can fitment assuming the ventilation ports are still on the aftermarket kit.
Is there any difference between the 370z and g37 kit?

Hello Jennipher , Thank you for reaching out. The can may be drained by either removing the top of the can, which is a threaded portion. Or, you can access the drain bung at the bottom of the catch can.

Not as a direct-fit kit. We do offer universal cans on our website that have a sight glass if you are interested!
Why do need 2 cans
This catch can kit is designed for the PCV and CCV side of the engine which is why two cans are used.

Catch cans are to prevent blow-by from contaminating your intake tract and reducing performance.

I think you're paying for the nice design of the bracket, the warranty, and the design and fabrication of the pre-routed hoses so it doesn't look like an octopus died on top of your engine.
