In case anyone from Canada is wondering, NO this kit will NOT work with your Canadian model G35. Unfortunately the DRL module is situated where the bracket relocates the PS reservoir to. ADD W1 will tell you it fits, but you'll learn when you go to install it that it does not.

Giving 10 to 20 psi into the crankcase sounds like a ticking time bomb.. the PCV Valve should stop it but if I'm not mistaken, thats only on 1 bank of the engine
Looks good man I'm so ready to hear this thing crank up. Them blue z1 hoses looking fresssh, I finally put all mine on and it was a bitch getting all the air outta the coolant system we had to bleed it like 12-15 times also had to trim about 2 inches off top coolant hose and 3 inches off bottom coolant hose, the top was like bent for some reason and bottom was too long and was rubbing the compressor, just watch the fitment once you get everything back together.

Catch Can is a good idea in preventing blow by oil from adding to the already buildup on cylinder heads and exhaust valves...Less Seafoam treatments in the intake wound be required...This catch can is the correct way on using a catch can.

If you've ever taken the intake manifold off on your g35 you'd realize where most of that oil is ending up. This isn't such an issue for a N/A car, it really just eat the spark plugs a bit faster and dirties up the intake manifold. In fact, the reason it burns oil so fast is due to the oil temps, rather than the PCV system itself. You can reduce the oil consumption by adding an oil cooler, which in turn will do much more for performance and engine life than an oil catch can could ever do.
Thought we already had oil coolers on our cars.
@@bobbyholmes4586 you mean that tiny inefficient water to oil cooler that gets steaming hot? No, I'm talking about a mishimoto. Drop those oil temps to a performance level and an oil catch can becomes useless as the amount if oil vapors drops significantly.

@@bobbyholmes4586 Basically your PCV system vents hot oil/fuel mixture back into your intake to recycle for emissions. Little known is it does add a very minor 2 stroke effect to the engine and lightly lubes the inside of the cylinders as well. VQ35DE motors don't burn oil as bad as the VQ35HR stock for stock, due to air intake, high revving, and engine temp differences that causes. Cooling your oil on a HR is really critical, as the oil consumption is going through the cylinders, which isn't actually good at those levels. Using a radiator style cooler drops oil temps to the valve train and camshaft significantly, which also reduces oil burn off in the process, while still allowing the minor flow of oil to the cylinders which keeps them lubricated properly near the head.

Don’t you have to put a check valve on the hose running back into the plenum? I have my high side vented to the atmosphere then low side pcv run through catch can with vent with the plenum capped off. Seems to be the right way since I believe the high side usually sucks air in and it goes out the pcv side clearing the gasses. My high side filter is pretty clean and my catch can gets all type of blow by.

How has the setup worked for you over time? Specifically the setup with the hose near the intake (straight from the valve/rocker cover) being directly linked to the catch can?

Just watched this and looked at the diagram of the catch can setup. Wouldn't plugging the hose from the catch can to the driver side valve cover flood the right side? And if it flows the other way its adding the oil from both just to the pcv. Is that even healthy? That could be a reason why the car messed up. 🤔 just thinking out loud
your right i think, that diagram has 1 inlet (PVC valve) and 2 outlets and he hooked the one to the driver side ccv which is not an in that is an out. maybe he should have hooked that up the the intake tube pre the throttle body instead cause thats an in. i looked on the website for this item and they dont even have a 3 port can for the g35 on their website but they do for the q60 and q50

There are two catch cans for the g35. What’s the difference between the $260 and the $160 one?
2 port (single outlet port) vs 3 port (dual outlet port). But not sure why you wouldn't be able to just use a Y fitting from a single outlet and be able to route to both valve covers.

Or... You can simply fuck oil catch cans and OEM housings as well and put both hoses to the ground and "blind" intake manifold port.
