Glad to hear you are happy at Audient, Adam! Thanks for the update. All the best!
Pleased to hear all is going well & that you're happy in your job 😎👍
Happy to hear from you, Adam! Good luck and looking forward for your music! :)
I appreciate the video and the HDR.
Oh yay! I was waiting for this 😎
Nice to see you back, Adam
Hey Adam, Have you thought about using Triad-Orbit mic stands with a speaker mount to lift the speakers up high enough and pointing them down, as I know they are super strong. This might actually get your setup Dolby Certified or at least closer. Also glad to see you back. We met at NAMM. All the Best!
Not only is triad orbit stuff crazy expensive, but you can’t get the speakers any higher because of ceiling limit, and if I were to try and boom them overhead then physics kicks in and safety is compromised. Even triad orbit, steady as they are, can’t beat physics
Our loss is Audient's gain.
Congratulations, Adam.
That was a good watch. Cheers
Hey Adam, I saw a review for the Oria saying that the monitor control affects all of the outputs so even when you have extra outputs (like in your case with a 7.1.4) you can't really use it with outboard gear. I see that you're using the ASP preamps to go into the Oria via ADAT. Without any outs that aren't controlled by the monitor control (I'm assuming the AES outputs are as well), how are you integrating your outboard gear without a separate interface for mixing? I've been thinking about doing an Atmos setup with the Oria and while I'm 95% ITB I'd like to have the capability to use some of my outboard gear when I need to. I know I could use a separate interface and use the Oria for monitor control over ADAT but I'd be limited to 48khz as opposed to a 96khz with a 7.1.4. Appreciate the great content!
I WAS EXCITED THE MOMENT I HEARD ATMOS
Wouldn't it be an even better deal to go with an RME UCXII with a ferrofish 16 channel expansion?
My Friend Is there anyway you can send me how you did those rear height speaker pole adjustments? :)
I was had thought a couple times now after watching this.
Would it help the you you had to setup the speakers to have the lower surround speakers upside down?
No that would make things worse by taking the midrange drivers out of the same plane as the drivers in the other 5 flat-plane speakers. You don’t need a huge amount of separation for height to be able to feel the difference, of course more is better but it’s a separate problem
Hey Adam! I'm looking to get an Audient ASP 880 but honestly just to use as a quality A/D converter as I have a few preamps (could still use more but it's not a necessity at the moment). Can u pls tell us if Audient is about to release a new model soon with updated converters? :)
Hi!
I absolutely can’t tell you anything like that, companies don’t reveal their release plans ahead of time for many reasons.
But I can say Audient are always working behind the scenes to make new things and push the envelope!
@@adamsteelproducer Yeah I figured.. Still worth a try :) It's just that the 880 & 800 still have the old logo so I was hoping something new is coming like an ASP 888 with selectable OHM switches, Iron on all channels and no filters since most ppl don't record using them. And of course newer converters (maybe some ''iron'' on those like Burl does..?)
''I'm dreaming... of an Audient Christmas.....''
I know it might be off topic but do you think we can expect reaper to work with Dolby Atmos soon without bridges etc?
Absolutely no clue, but probably not. The reaper team aren’t huge and that level of integration is no small task
