Interesting how the Valentian Royal Bloodline went from Rudolf, to Alm, over a thousand years later, Walhart. At first, I could definitely see similarities between Rudolf and Walhart, two big, red, powerful kings kings on horses (with very cool, goosebump-inducing battle themes). However, I did not really see many simularities between Alm and Walhart, but then I realized Alm and Walhart do have some similarities. For example, both of these people’s end goals were to destroy the system of religion and gods and get the people to rely on themselves, just different ideas on how they would utilize this. And also how Alm and Walhart are VERY strong, both story-wise and especially gameplay-wise.
walhart In this scenario is probably another alternative timeline To win the shepherd's failed Walhart Was the one to challenge grima with his army even after death Probably the closest thing grima had to a contender on the battle field With a sort of this "earth isn't yours to conquer" vibe And considering the xenolog quest brought back to life his own soldiers as risen

Tactician represents Awakening well too, even if he comes across as yusei-ish sometimes "We are not some pawns of fate, our destiny is made by our bonds!"
Close enough. I understand that whole scene on the boat as Robin saying, "It's not the whims of Fate that bind us together, but the bonds we share. Those bonds can change the path we go down, and it is our choice to break or nurture them."
my fight against gangrel: such a good song for such a crazy and easy villian to beat, ugh, WAY too easy for me, then walhart showed up and the song was fitting, honesylu, I feel like they gave gangrel this song because they ran out of time to give him one
Robin the tactican Sometimes they just decide, "We don't need that character to have his own battle theme, so let's make him share one with this other character." It's unfortunate, but it's not that big a deal for me.
Out of all of the villains or bosses you fight, which includes Aversa, Gangrel, Grima, Validar, etc, Walhart is probably my favorite. It isn't so much because he's cool (rather, his armour is a bit excessive imo), but he has interesting ideals and isn't a total douchebag. When he was holing himself up to meet his fate I was like: Mad respect. Funily enough I got more emotional over that than I did Lucina's moments. I'm strange. I also loved adding him to my team... Lastly, this theme clearly suits Walhart better.... I didn't even know it played for Gangrel because he died too fast all the time. :I And yes, most badass vegetarian ever... because... it matters?
Both Walhart and Gangrel are some of my favourite villains from the newer FE games tbh. I just wish the Valm Arc wasn't so filler-ish. But even then you get Say'ri from that part of the game, so it's not all bad!
How my Walhart fight went... Ok, I know that I can't walk right into Walhart's range and and not attack or I'll get fucked, I'll double rally movement on Gaius and that'll give me enough Mov. *Use Lissa and Cordelia to Rally Movement* Wait, Rally Movement doesn't stack? Oh shit. *Notices Lissa's in range of 3 Paladins* Fuck, well Gaius can still try hitting Walhart with his bow (He was an Assassin) *Bow only does just over half with a 1% crit* Anna plz *Gaius pulls a Lethality first attack* Now that's strategy.
How my fight went: Paired up with a level 3 Swordmaster Olivia as a level 20 Sorcerer, bought Mire from Gharnef from Spotpass, killed him from halfway across the map. Honestly, sorta regretting buying that leveling DLC. Got really carried away.
This is the first time that I've actually heard this song for more than 10 seconds...considering that in all my playthroughs I've either killed him in one hit or Lethality'd him.
Villain 1: A thug king who murders the main character's sister for revenge after a massive war that destroy his people. Villain 2: A man who wants to forcibly unite the world by destroying religion. Villain 3: The father of the Avatar, and a cliche, "HAHAHAHA" villain who has no reason for his goals.
More like: Vilain 1: Half of Ashnard from Path of Radiance. Vilain 2: The OTHER half of Ashnard. Vilain 3: Just as you said. Yeah, FE:A did a lot of stuff right, but vilains was certainly not their cup of tea.
Super ComicalBros somehow i was quite dissapointed with Validar...shit even Excellus pulled a better job at being someone you want dead.Gangrel was actually quite interesting but lame...in the end his insanity left him with only a handful of soldiers and was merely a nuisance. (he gets a bonus point for having Emm inside a cute crater, for sometime anyway). Walhart could be the generic villain too wanting to conquer the whole world and impose his laws and will, but they did give him a somewhat fair standing point as the other extreme that weights against Emmeryn's ideals. Strength above words, Feroxi diplomacy much?
PuzzleHunter Ibmthi A lot of songs in Awakening should've been in Smash, but they didn't do it for some reason. They added 2 characters from Awakening and they have like only that many songs from the game. Are the songs too serious for their kid's game or some other random BS reason? They'd best make up for it in Smash 5!

Conquering Countries well guess what? Genghis Khan raided The Kingdom of Gerogia and killed King George. Qing Dynasty Conquered Mongolia and The Ming Dynasty from 1644 and onwards. Which Mongolia became an independent state after 1912.
Edelgard: "alright, I'm an axe wielding emperor, with the intent to conquer the world and free it from the grasp of religion. 227someguy Ah, I see. Yeah, I was obviously intending the real Alexander the Great, the one whose empire spanned from Europe to Africa to Asia. The real-life great conqueror.
Gangrel was simply insane. Sure, that made him fun. But he had no depth of character beyond every other insane villain in video games. Walhart, he was different. He wanted to become immortal, not through a magical artifact, but by conquering the world. To go down in history as the most powerful man to ever live. And he damn well did. I dare any of you to grind a character up enough to solo Walhart. Even with 3 units I still had to pull out all the stops. Wanna know how I killed Gangrel? Sumia.
You kinda messed up the Quote there, buddy. It happens when Walhart levels up with most of his stats maxed and gets only 0-1 stats up. "Have i conquered...Everything?" I also like his Finding an Item Quote: "Whats this? Ha Ha! An Item! KNEEL BEFORE YOUR NEW MASTER!!!"
It would've been an overkill or a cutscene kill. Besides, you get the pleasure of killing the annoying little crap yourself. And legit, I could've sworn he was female on my first playthrough.
Tactician Robin no shame in that. I thought he was a hag as well. Besides I think that Walhart and Megatron have some things in common considering they have a right hand man that thinks about stabbing them in the back.
B-but then you don't get to feel the that awesome feeling of bitch-slapping him with a Crit+Luna 1-shot so hard, that his existence gets obliterated. On the other hand though, I seriously wish that you could recruit Cervantes in the army since he was a hilarious boss.
Don't blame you, she was a huge English wiz of a teacher in my 12th grade of high school. The fact she didn't know really surprised me but it seriously occurred, no kidding.
I think they could have made Walhart a great villain. Chrom and he both want peace and to end war, but Walhart is just going to beat the fight out of everyone and subjugate them to ensure it. I'd have liked him to have been the main antagonist and Grima to be his last trump card, the Great Black Dragon who he revived to try and use it to conquer the world. Or have him want to take over the world to find a way for him to actually die, because he can't really. A battle of ideals would have made him a fantastic antagonist, unlike a certain generic cultist who just wants to revive Grima to end the world (Where have we seen that). Gangrel was OK as an antagonist, but didn't have the presence or threat of Walhart.
Fun Fact:Did you know that Walhart believes himself to be the second coming of the first King who unified their country [Alm from FE2]? But he actually behaves like the "Dark God" Duma that Alm had to defeat, Duma was like Walhart, GOOD, but believed that power was needed to preserve true peace in the world. Walhart's fighting style is also based off King Rudolphs [FE2 Chapter 4 Boss in the same stage] in the first battle, who rides up to your characters to pick them off 1 by 1. =3= ~
He looks like a descendant of Emperor Rudolf of the Rigelean Empire. He might even be an incarnation of Duma since he embodies everything that Duma was.
I agree. Plus the Rigelean capital is in the same place as the Valmese capital where you fight Walhart.(As well as Rudolf in Echoes) Definitely not a coincidence.
It's the intro (which is included in the game as a separate track), which plays on the little conversation they'll have before the fight starts. As soon as you press through the conversation it will start the main song.
Personally I think Gangrel and Walhart are different enough they should each get a theme, but your right in that Gangrel made up for being stomped aside easily by sheer malice and the amount of impact he made.
(Potential spoilers for both Awakening and Three houses) Now that I think about it, Walhart and Edlegard from three houses have very similar goals, the only difference is in three houses, A. Edelgard is a much more likable character, as she isnt full of herself, also it's much easier to sympathize with her since siding with her is a whole route, but both of their goals were to eliminate (or at least undermine) the religion and unite the world via conquering it in a war. Their motives were different, Edlegard wanted to dismantle the Crest system since it was terrible in her eyes, and she wanted to end the reign of Serios, whereas (I havent finished Awakening so correct me if I'm wrong) Walhart wanted to unite the world under himself so he could have as much power as he could, almost to the point of a god. Plus they're both extremely powerful axe units with amazing themes with opera
I'd say Edelgard is more of an Arvis, but a good number of fire emblem big human baddies share similar designs dating back to Hardin, the original "I wear red, have an axe, and am going to conquer the world" boy.
Walharts sole goal wasn't power though. He wanted to get rid of religion and stop the conflict between Naga and Grima by conquering and uniting everything as one.

However, I did not really see many simularities between Alm and Walhart, but then I realized Alm and Walhart do have some similarities.
For example, both of these people’s end goals were to destroy the system of religion and gods and get the people to rely on themselves, just different ideas on how they would utilize this. And also how Alm and Walhart are VERY strong, both story-wise and especially gameplay-wise.
walhart In this scenario is probably another alternative timeline To win the shepherd's failed Walhart Was the one to challenge grima with his army even after death Probably the closest thing grima had to a contender on the battle field With a sort of this "earth isn't yours to conquer" vibe
And considering the xenolog quest
brought back to life his own soldiers as risen
*Walhart will build a wall to block all Ylisseans and make Valm great again.*

now if only they can play this theme everytime u have walhart [ally] attack an enemy
Nope but you can at least be glad to know all the enemies are hearing it
Definitly one of my favorite soundtracks in the game.
"Local warlord literally too angry to die"
Tactician represents Awakening well too, even if he comes across as yusei-ish sometimes
"We are not some pawns of fate, our destiny is made by our bonds!"
Close enough. I understand that whole scene on the boat as Robin saying, "It's not the whims of Fate that bind us together, but the bonds we share. Those bonds can change the path we go down, and it is our choice to break or nurture them."
I held down the SlowMo button a lot so i could hear this longer in game
my fight against gangrel: such a good song for such a crazy and easy villian to beat, ugh, WAY too easy for me, then walhart showed up and the song was fitting, honesylu, I feel like they gave gangrel this song because they ran out of time to give him one
Robin the tactican Sometimes they just decide, "We don't need that character to have his own battle theme, so let's make him share one with this other character." It's unfortunate, but it's not that big a deal for me.
Walhart was a fucking badass, Fire Emblem seems to love creating enemy generals that I often have respect for, making it even harder to kill them.
Except that he survives and you can recruit him ;)
For Walhart? Nah, he doesn't survive. But you can recruit him at some point thanks to StreetPass.
uperpie Yeah but he survived which is why you can recruit him
Any one else looking forward for his appearance in Fire Emblem Heroes? I'd love to get that big guy
Midnox He's probably not in it cause he ain't a hero
And yes, most badass vegetarian ever... because... it matters?
Gangrel can actually be a nasty fight if you aren't prepared for his ranged sword, since he can make *very* good use of it as a Trickster.
Both Walhart and Gangrel are some of my favourite villains from the newer FE games tbh. I just wish the Valm Arc wasn't so filler-ish. But even then you get Say'ri from that part of the game, so it's not all bad!
Valm's got some of the best battles in the game. Plus, you get to kill exelus, preferably while using Say'ri.
+James Cretchley It does have it's good moments. I will agree there! I just like the Plegia Arc the most is all.
How my Walhart fight went...
Ok, I know that I can't walk right into Walhart's range and and not attack or I'll get fucked, I'll double rally movement on Gaius and that'll give me enough Mov.
*Use Lissa and Cordelia to Rally Movement*
Wait, Rally Movement doesn't stack? Oh shit.
*Notices Lissa's in range of 3 Paladins*
Fuck, well Gaius can still try hitting Walhart with his bow (He was an Assassin)
*Bow only does just over half with a 1% crit*
Anna plz
*Gaius pulls a Lethality first attack*
Now that's strategy.
How my fight went: Paired up with a level 3 Swordmaster Olivia as a level 20 Sorcerer, bought Mire from Gharnef from Spotpass, killed him from halfway across the map.
Honestly, sorta regretting buying that leveling DLC. Got really carried away.
AmberStorm MU and Chrom had an S-support, and they destroyed him with a Rapier and magic! :)
Walhart: "I AM INEXORABLE!!!"
This is the first time that I've actually heard this song for more than 10 seconds...considering that in all my playthroughs I've either killed him in one hit or Lethality'd him.
Walhart: The closest thing Fire Emblem has to Raoh. And that's awesome.
Walhart=FE version of Kratos.
Lon'Qu agread he's like a god of war
Lon'Qu I don't like God of War. :/
They should made his Horse buff as Raoh's
Actually, comparing him to raoh explains a lot in his behavior
WALMART VS. COSTCO HYPE
How did alms descendant look like thi- oh yeah...his dad
Villain 1: A thug king who murders the main character's sister for revenge after a massive war that destroy his people.
Villain 2: A man who wants to forcibly unite the world by destroying religion.
Villain 3: The father of the Avatar, and a cliche, "HAHAHAHA" villain who has no reason for his goals.
More like:
Vilain 1: Half of Ashnard from Path of Radiance.
Vilain 2: The OTHER half of Ashnard.
Vilain 3: Just as you said.
Yeah, FE:A did a lot of stuff right, but vilains was certainly not their cup of tea.
Gogito4 I dunno about the first one, but damn, you're spot on. xD
"This is nature."
TheTimestopper Yeah. Walhart was the more imposing villain.
This would have been awesome battle music for Smash 4
PuzzleHunter Ibmthi A lot of songs in Awakening should've been in Smash, but they didn't do it for some reason. They added 2 characters from Awakening and they have like only that many songs from the game. Are the songs too serious for their kid's game or some other random BS reason? They'd best make up for it in Smash 5!
Walhart: The world's scariest vegetarian ever
"I AM INEXORABLE!!"
Chrom: This is is Walhart! You've nowhere else to run!
Walhart: Don't worry Excellus, I'll crush these bastards!
This music is awesome and Walhart's a badass, but…all I can think of is how he looks like a red version of the Tick.
Try Lobster-Devil.
Also, he would probably be the worst greeter at Walmart...if Walter from Jeff Dunham's act didn't end up on the top of that list.
Zeus killer productions
(For ultimate effect, read this in the characters voices, and Walhart in a Walmart greeter's uniform.)
**Chrom walks into a Walmart.**
*Chrom:* Walhart! You survived?!
*Walhart:* My heart beats no more... But the flame of generosity within me refuses to gutter out. This marks the third and final time our prices will drop so low!
*Chrom:* The recession has ended, Walhart! We've no reason left to buy these things!
*Walhart:* You have EVERY reason! A capitalist rules by profit alone. A customer walking out empty-handed is death, and I must rise again!
*Chrom:* That's utter nonsense! The Target across the street is reborn and plans to destroy this world! If you're really so set on profit, buy my loyalty as a customer!
*Walhart:* Such arrogance. This market is mine! I'll suffer no one to harm my profits, be they KMart, Target, or otherwise.
*Chrom:* Only a wretch would grasp at the gold clinking in the pockets of others. You want to swindle a lord? Then show me how low you can go!
*Walhart:* Words will not increase your savings. Only Mastercard! If you wish such, draw your card and make it so!
*Chrom:* **Sigh** Fine! I'll take that camping set... But when I come back for boxing day THIS time, you WILL give me that blu-ray player for 60% off!
*Walhart:* I refuse no road to riches! *THIS IS HUMAN NATURE!*
ZobmieRules
I like to think the second half of the story is the struggle between Walmart and Chrom-co for the battle of the best deals and prices. Of course Anna was my waifu so that might've had something to do with it XD.

Delivering final blow to Gangrel:
Longgggggg liveeeeee the kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggg
Is there like a genre for this type of music with the people singing in the backgroundl like that
I got to Gangrel last night. This, along with the standard theme for the battle, made me elevate this game's status from pretty good to BEAUTIFUL.
Play sacred stones.
Path of radiance is amazing.

Conquering Countries well guess what? Genghis Khan raided The Kingdom of Gerogia and killed King George. The 4th, yep, is defeated twice because at that time, Mongolia got Mandate of Heaven, which is given power by heaven it self. And you know what's funny about after Ming Dynasty collapse? Qing Dynasty Conquered Mongolia and The Ming Dynasty from 1644 and onwards. Which Mongolia became an independent state after 1912.
Edelgard: "alright, I'm an axe wielding emperor, with the intent to conquer the world and free it from the grasp of religion. I am the villain in every route besides Crimson Flower, I am a very overpowered unit, who wears red, and has the best boss unit theme in the game... alright that's gotta be original and new right?"

Ladies and gents, one and all, make way for the Alexander the Great of FE.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I was obviously intending the real Alexander the Great, the one whose empire spanned from Europe to Africa to Asia. The real-life great conqueror.

Yup. UA-cam sarcasm at its finest.
I think King Rudolf and Duma would be VERY proud of Walhart
I am inexorable!
naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
This theme is so manly my chest sprouted hair just listening to it
Gangrel was simply insane. Sumia.
You gotta be talking about lunatic mode
Gangrel: clinging to each other won't save you when maggots the boot falls!
Walhart: stand up and fight!!!
Beomkyu Kim That's also Walhart's crit quote. Epic.
@@danielmaster8776 Yeah I know that And sorry for long reply...

i let chrom land the last hit and he did it with a crit strike saying "your end has come!" oh my
"I... Am inexorable!!!"
You kinda messed up the Quote there, buddy. It happens when Walhart levels up with most of his stats maxed and gets only 0-1 stats up.
"Have i conquered...Everything?"
I also like his Finding an Item Quote:
"Whats this? Ha Ha! An Item! KNEEL BEFORE YOUR NEW MASTER!!!"
"I tried, Emm..."
To be honest I would have enjoyed Exellous' s death more if it was Walhart that killed him.
Tactician Robin WAIT WHAT! EXELLUS IS A GUY?!?
B-but then you don't get to feel the that awesome feeling of bitch-slapping him with a Crit+Luna 1-shot so hard, that his existence gets obliterated. On the other hand though, I seriously wish that you could recruit Cervantes in the army since he was a hilarious boss.
joshua kim Mustache. Much mustache.
HE IS COMING 2 HEROES PPL
I somehow picture this as a Simba vs Scar fight, its just so epic
HE IS INEXORABLE!!!
Duma would be really proud now if he watched.
Alm's descendent truly manifested a lot of the Rigelian side of the family
walhart being a descendant of rudolf makes me wonder what happened with alm in the gene pool lol
Who knows, maybe Alm got buff as hell in the 20 to 30 years after the events of Gaiden/Echoes.
This also plays against Gangrel. The NOA name for the song is now Mastermind, to fit the theme of all boss music starting with an M.
Altough I feel Hardin and Zephiel are the better Emperor villains, Walhart is a close second
*third*
Haven't played FE9 so I can't say if he is better as well or not
a theme suited for a conqueror
Fun Fact:Did you know that Walhart believes himself to be the second coming of the first King who unified their country [Alm from FE2]? But he actually behaves like the "Dark God" Duma that Alm had to defeat, Duma was like Walhart, GOOD, but believed that power was needed to preserve true peace in the world.
Walhart's fighting style is also based off King Rudolphs [FE2 Chapter 4 Boss in the same stage] in the first battle, who rides up to your characters to pick them off 1 by 1. =3= ~
People never seem to talk about the fact his English voice actor is the same as batou from ghost in the shell. Making him even more bad ass.
The great and powerful conquerer Walmart
Props to you for being the only one to upload this track and actually include the amazing intro
when i heard this song i was like holy crap
Yep, Walhart is definitive the best boss of Awakening... :D
Ryng Tolu Morgan (Grandmaster) and Donnel (Hero-Warrior), instawin walhart :/
SquirtleMaster I (of course) used Chrom to beat Walhart both times. The 2 physically strongest men in Awakening at each other's throats!
He looks like a descendant of Emperor Rudolf of the Rigelean Empire. He might even be an incarnation of Duma since he embodies everything that Duma was.
Andrew Ruiz White hair, red armour, rides on horseback, wants his people to be strong. Those aren't mere coincidences.
I agree. Plus the Rigelean capital is in the same place as the Valmese capital where you fight Walhart.(As well as Rudolf in Echoes) Definitely not a coincidence.
This song is awesome. Just Like Walhart himself ! \ o /
It's the intro (which is included in the game as a separate track), which plays on the little conversation they'll have before the fight starts. As soon as you press through the conversation it will start the main song.
STAND UP AND FIGHT!!!
You going down!!
I got lucky enough for Chrom to activate his critical hit while this was playing. Slowing it down is pretty epic :)
Well, at the moment he is more like Walhart the Great Knight, but he will at some point probably become Walhart the Conquerer again, yeah.
Huh, so this is the conquerer of Valm.......cool
*finds out that Valm is Valentina*
ALM YOU SON OF A-!!!
Well walhart is alm's great great great... great great great great... great grandson so there's something weird about him.
hi welcome to wahlmart

His reaction:

All right everyone, who'd finish them of with? I finished Gangrel with Chrom and Walhart with Vaike.
I killed walhart with inigo wielding a spoon (ladle)
HERE COMES THE CONQUEROR TO HEROES! DRAWED BY THE GOD IPPEI!
Personally I think Gangrel and Walhart are different enough they should each get a theme, but your right in that Gangrel made up for being stomped aside easily by sheer malice and the amount of impact he made.
All I can think of when I hear this song is the Lion King. It would just fit so perfectly.
Definitely my favorite battle theme of this game.
And yes, that means it tops Grima's.
THE MASTERMIND! THE ONLY! WALLMART
Wallhart is awsome he is one of my top men in my army now that I recruited him
My god, and his continent even looks like the world map of Gaiden O_O. Hm I wonder where Priam came from then?
(Potential spoilers for both Awakening and Three houses)
Now that I think about it, Walhart and Edlegard from three houses have very similar goals, the only difference is in three houses, A.
@@anenemystand5582 An axe? Didn't the Dark Emperor Hardin use a lance.
@@Shazam1998 was that not Edelgard's goal? She wanted to abolish the crest system and unite the world for humanity
