From doing just a little research on the Internet, I was able to find out that Talisman Blowtorches were manufactured in West Germany in the 1920s. Indeed it is very rare. Great job on the restore!
@robertriley4732 I am using the exact wording on what I found. If you find exception with it, know that I know next to nothing about European history now that I am in my 50s
As brass doesn't rust your ability to put a coat of rust on a brass object has to be commended, a video showing how you achieve it would be interesting.
I think that this rust came from the metal parts of the blowtorch and the place where it lay for years + brass over time gets covered with patina and oxidizes...
I can't go to sleep without watching a restoration video from you❤ it calms my soul and brings good vibes plus I learn a lot. Thx for not talking or adding any music!!! This is exactly what I need🙏🏻 100/10
Nice refurbishing effort I'd say. And it even works great too. Looks like there is a fine line between a blow torch and a flame thrower. A lot of similarities... Thumbs Up!
I have watched 3 of your viedos they are so awsome. I have known that things can be restored. Howevery I never knew how much work goes into restoring something. That is crazy amazing you can take something that looks so bad, clean it and then remember where all the parts go to put it bach together. I rate you a 10 + Please keep up the beautiful, amazing restoration.
This guy has given my insomnia a run for it’s money. These restorations are so relaxing and satisfying, I fall asleep with only 1-2 videos. Plus, the ASMR and the lack of annoying voiceovers has made this channel one of my favorites on UA-cam. Keep up the amazing work
В конце непонятно, как зажигалось пламя, такое ощущение что сняли часть горелки и вставили туда газовый балончик с автоподжигом, не показывая всю горелку,. 5 баллов за все видео , концовка забрала остальные 5

Does anyone else think there's something missing from the handle assembly, I don't think the squared shaft should stick out of the black handle that far. Anyone got any thoughts?
Full marks on an excellent restoration. My late Dad had one of those and I was always fascinated the way he had to "pump" the tank to pressurise the tank. Great video and well done!! 😄👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Looks like a hoax. Acid bath on a item would give you that rust effects I see. Funny there is rust on the brass parts and everything comes apart like nothing.
Pretty sure the end where it was shown to work is fake, can't see the whole torch when it's working, looks like a working blowtorch stuck through the tip to fake it working.
@@analourenco6623 oh are you ok tell us where the bad internet touched you. He can easily prove me wrong just show the whole blowtorch on screen working.

Not a bad video, but I'm really disappointed by the lack of understanding when it comes to final assembly and testing. You can't use rubber gaskets on these, they degrade very quickly when exposed to the fuel. If you wanted to actually fire the torch up you also need to actually put fuel in (gas or kerosene, and it's very important to know which one your torch takes), pressurize it, and critically, you need to preheat the nozzle assembly if you want it to work. Or I guess just put the shroud on a propane torch, but if you're going to do that for your firing shot then at least edit out the click of the electrical igniter. The rust effect is pretty sketchy too, given how little damage the surfaces below it have, but there's circumstances that could cause that.
I don't think it is as old as you think pretty sure plastic noobs were not really a thing till early 70s but I could be wrong anyways beautiful job on it tho

Yes,nostalgia is not what it used to be.
First time I've seen brass rust
Rust formed from steel elements that are on the blowtorch. Brass oxidizes and becomes covered with patina
It is a fake restoration as usual.
Hard work of weathering made by the author.
