This farm is so OP.... thank you! If anyone else found that initially the "on" switch moved the netherwrack out of the way and so never caught on fire, it's probably because your glass is on the wrong side of it. If you have this problem, hit the "emergency off" switch which should move the netherwrack back into the centre. Then, near the netherwrack, break into the side, break the glass in between the piston & netherwrack, and then put a new glass block at the other side, next to the other piston. Replace the glass you broke to get in, and try again. I also (for all those wondering) tried throwing a potion of oozing onto the silverfish before using the potion of harming. It was.... an experience. SO MANY slimes spawned that they could not be contained in the bottom of the farm and they spread EVERYWHERE all over my base. My PC is pretty powerful and it really struggled for a while there. I had to call in help to kill them all. It took a very very long time. But I do now have an absolutely ridiculous quantity of slime. Will I do it again? Only if I can come up with a use for 4000 slime, and thus find myself needing more....
I found that if you use powdered snow to damage the allays rather than fire, you can run the farm indefinitely, since the allays will continually regenerate and out-perform the damage being inflicted to them (obviously the rates of the farm are reduced, but it works well enough for me)
I've still got the guardian farm producing sea lanterns and steady xp to mend my shears as I'm using the coral farm I built from a silentwisperer link (found everywhere)
I think the reason Bedrock allays die in fire while Java allays don't is because the regen rate of allays in Bedrock is just slightly lower than the fire damage rate (1 damage/tick vs 0.9 healing/tick) while in Java they're equal.

@silentwhisperer im very proud of my design of this, once i discovered this mechanic. I trapped the allays under a slab and used a piston on a hopper clock to push a magma block up under them. The hopper clock, loaded with 3 stacks of items, ensures the allays dont perish and allows a cooldown between uses for them to regen. I generally play on an android phone and use 3 allays and a trident killer with little lag on our server. Its 0-30 in approximately 30 secs. You can make this even better by splashing a oozing potion on the silverfish before killing them, just make sure you have a thick wall of solid blocks around them otherwise slimes will go all over the place. The oozing potion spawns like 2 of the mid size slimes, which drop xp along with the silverfish dropping xp, the slimes also split into (on average) 3 small slimes which drop xp and slime... it is a little overpowered. Btw only run the farm with 2 Allays for like 10 seconds if you do this because it doubles the amount of mobs and then triples that, so it lags a little (on my ps4 i got down to 1 fps).
I wonder if a hooper clock would work in place of the "non stackable items in cobweb" to reduce lag?... Not saying that is gonna make a huge difference but evey bit counts! Also, i wonder if putting a longer clock on, that will auto fire the lava would help if on the very rare chance gour game gets too laggy and you cant oress the "OFF" button, that theres a second timer to automatically kill all silverfish with the lava!

Everything works on a singleplayer creative/survival world but when i try it on a realm the fire never lights, same exact build, watched over the video 3 times, only thing im finding works if the fire doesnt light is magma blocks, may not be as efficient/fast but still does a good job
Heres a doozy, i built this in creative first and it works as intended. Go to build in my survival world and the fire does not extinguish when the glass pushes in place. Any ideas? Edit: so when I made the farm prettier in survival I used mangrove planks for the allay cage. Fire spread was turned off so didn't think it was an issue. Were you listening to Etho talking about a Silverfish farm? Or just coincidence? Looks cool
i was working on this on stream a couple days ago:)
Thank you!
I’m just wondering if this also works on Java as I play both bedrock and Java?
It's a lot slower on Java but yeah it works:)
@@silentwisperer thanks!
Ive never been so happy in my life. Thank you.
I built this exactly as shown but the buttons didn’t work so I couldn’t turn it off so my allay died and no silverfish were spawning
Same
Same the fire wouldn’t extinguish so my allays died 😢
So much xp from such a simple machine, I need to make this immediately
How many solid blocks
I just had a million slime escape
@noahseilo1404 about 10 to 20, worked for me. Or you could build it 3 blocks in the ground.
My flint and steel button doesn’t work please help
I did this got the allays in there in survival, named them prior and slept came back they’re gone. I either slept or grabbed something from a chest I needed I forget they had items and everything. Wondering if I should try to attach them w a lead
Is this better than the quad portal gold farm? Or just the singular? Either way for sure making this, great video as always!
its better than like everything
Thank you so much it works an my friends are so happy😊
I did it all perfectly fine then I turned it on and everything looks fine but no silver fish spawned at all
peaceful?
Same here
How about adding blocks or items to the allays to stop them from dying?
Maybe i messed up something, but everything works in the farm, except that silverfishes dont spawn at all
Same. Did you figure out why or how to fix it?
@@samanthacrookshanks7519 maybe. As im in vacation i didnt touched minecraft in sometime. But maybe i know why. When i used infestation potions, i didnt used throwable ones, that could be it maybe
do it hard mode
@@ruzzeljaeguevarra8368 nah its good, i used the wrong potion. Not throwable. It wasnt about difficulty cause i wasnt on peaceful
could you use armadillos instead of allyas like from your slime farm?
Yes
Using magma blocks instead of fire means that you don't need to use flint and steels
They don't always touch the magma from my experience, they can float up to the top:)
@@silentwispererwhat about a drowning method?
If you have a lot it will still work a lot better @@silentwisperer
Would powder snow hurt them as well? I know it would be slower but wouldn't it keep them from dying
Yes
why when i tried it in creative it worked then i tried it the same in survival it just lit the allays on fire and no silver fish spawned
If it is on peaceful it doesnt work
I messed up this farm a lot of time but now it is working well. BTW, for how much time max can i burn the Alley so they don't die?
I hate silverfish 😂😂
This is the farm for you then xD
now you'll love them
Creepers are worse
@Calmypanic593 I'm with you... couldn't watch the video they make me itch for some reason 😂
@@HeresPablo lol you gonna get infested 🤣
Working perfectly!
Jsut one potion 40+ levels in few sec
0:15 I beg to differ with my 80 portal gold farm
thats literally not possible i have an 8 portal gold farm and my device lags, and theres not a single trident killer to keep up with killing the mobs, storage would instantly overflow in Seconds mate
@@ChrisLikesAxolotls well sorry you don't believe it but I can't help you with that; it's on UA-cam too though 🤣
the storage is set up to 8 minecarts with 16 hoppers evenly distributing loot to 48 auto sorters at once. (the storage was the hardest part)
as for the trident kiIIer I turn it on but it doesn't do justice so set up my auto clicker as well (because I play on mobile.)
I can then go AFK and I don't need to worry about starving even if its 48 hours later (thats the main reason I had 1300+ levels in survival) 🤣
@@ChrisLikesAxolotls PS 32-40 max portals seems to give me "the best rates to lag ratio" because of my device not having enough RAM (I probably need 32-64 GB of RAM to run them all battery smooth) but I have still done it on occasion lol
@COKTilYouDrop guess im bad at accepting people on mobile are better than me •v•
@@ChrisLikesAxolotls well in general mobile players aren't as good as others (and my building skills don't necessarily correlate to "better skill" that'd be the "overall knowledge of the game and its mechanics" imo)
however for someone like me I'm not "good" because "I'm the best in the world" I'm good imo because "no matter the situation I never give up even in a toxic game like RUST in a 1v30 situation"
so a game like minecraft feels almost easy when I compare it to "the level of sweating I use to exert" (the only problem then is "the willpower to continue") in other games your motivation is revenge or to spite your enemies while becoming "amazing"
in single player survival minecraft your goal is to become "amazing" you don't have an enemy keeping you pushing your boundaries (its kind of like how the future of war evolves most during war) they are in a situation where they need the sweeping edge on the opponents so they get their top scientists they have together and work to create a "bigger better kiIIing machine" because of "the pressures of war"
Can i modify this to use with armadillos?
Use smooth stone to build the base part, its cheap and wont get destroyed by silverfish
Tip for beginners : place cobblestone in furnace to get stone, and place the stone in furnace again to get smooth stone.
Hope this helps
silverfish infest stone blocks and you know it 😛
@@silentwisperer yep😁. But not smooth stone. I have tried it on my farm and it works. You can try yourself. I thought this will help people to make their farm more easily without getting into trouble because cobblestone is such easy to get.
Also when I was a beginner, I always tried to build farms with the same blocks as shown in your tutorials 💀
You even replied after posting the video after one month. No more questions about if you like your subscribers and viewers
So op thanks!
If they nerf this they will lose at least one player because I’m tired of them nerfing every thing fun
It does suck that they nurf some the things were totally op I kinda hope they don't get this one, having this fast exp is truly what I like
@@LarlieZahan they will probably remove it because the devs would rather remove things instead of adding things because they want to pretend they’re useful to Microsoft who can’t manage studios at all and instead take a “hands off approach” which is an excuse for bad management and is ruining the game because nobody is being fired for doing nothing
@spooky-helix217 Literally NOTHING you are saying is true.
Microsoft has nothing to do with what Mojang does with Minecraft.
And Mojang has added way more strong features in, then they have taken them out.
You are dumb kid, be quiet.
But anything thats to broken needs a nerf that includes this farm
So, if before I killed the silverfish, I splashed an oozing potion and a weaving potion, how much slime/cobwebs could I expect? I would think that the lag would be terrible, so about how long should I run this farm so that doing that will be practical?
my nether rack doesn’t catch on fire
work first timee
thankyou
You can use magma block or sweet berry instead of fire 😅
They don't always touch magma from my experience and you want a way to easily/quickly turn it off to prevent lag so berries aren't great either:)
I love silent man😂😂
Come on man where is the fix fot the ghast farm
Yea I really need to make that
@@silentwisperer thanks for responding
made this in a creative world with an addition to turn the silverfish into a slime farm. using just 4 allays in 1 use i got just 1 stack and 62 less slime balls than a full chest (2 stacks and 50 slime blocks). the down side is it uses a ton of harming potions.
1st?
Yes
Yes
This is amazing
HOLY W DESIGN!
Amazing, as early today I was wondering about if you have any version of this farm.
Brilliant!!
Silent with the clutch farms again.. ❤.. When is the slime farm using potions 🎉
I built this this morning on my mooshroom farm island, chaos , game crashed and I lost half the mine carts form half my farms hahaha I've rebuilt it miles away in the sky and it's doing great!!
Thanks
Wow this is great!
Works Great
I build this under zombie spawner so instead of alley zombies come and creates silverfish , you can also replace nether rack with magma block so need for flint n steel and you also saved all that extra dispensers, web etc
Its working great , one infested and harming potion gives me 30 xp and next round around 10 to 15 to total 45
How long does it take
Could you do a tutorial adding the potion of oozing to the process to make it a slime farm
trident killers r good enough, just made this exact thing just with a trident killer, perfect
Hey silent using this method and adding cobwebs to the farm with oozing you can make an OP slime farm
Everything works on a singleplayer creative/survival world but when i try it on a realm the fire never lights, same exact build, watched over the video 3 times, only thing im finding works if the fire doesnt light is magma blocks, may not be as efficient/fast but still does a good job
Hey I got a question, if you're on a multiplayer world, does it still lag out players who aren't in render distance?
Would this work underground as long as I use non-infesting blocks for the walls of the farm?
Heres a doozy, i built this in creative first and it works as intended. Go to build in my survival world and the fire does not extinguish when the glass pushes in place. Any ideas?
Edit: so when I made the farm prettier in survival I used mangrove planks for the allay cage. Fire spread was turned off so didn't think it was an issue. But the 4 sides of the planks burning gives the illusion the glass is on fire. Not the 4 planks.
