Can't wait for invisible nitros :) My theory for the nitro jump trick is update order - if each frame went something like "move nitro -> move crash -> check death" then a nitro could jump into you, stop motion as it bumped into you, then you could jump on the same frame as there's a solid now below you, and then the death check would happen when you're outside the nitro already

I am almost certain that the trick of jumping off nitro crates is an artefact of the remakes.
See original crash games had squared cubes. So it's made of 6 faces of followers and that's it. The new ones do the same however the edges of the cubes have their own collider which they sorta missed... So on almost any nitro you can technically stand on the edge... Bloody hard to pull off but aye that's how you have done it every time...
