Thank you for this recipe. First time I got it wrong because I added baking soda instead of baking powder and it was bitter. I also added too little sugar. And then I somehow burnt them, so first batch was for the birds. But the second time it was better and finally 3rd time I got it right. Im certainly going to save money since Haldiram brand (which is my fav) cost $ 6.99 here ! I think they should be brought out of the oven by the time they are lightly brown on the top, because by that time they are already done in the bottom.
Your video is a fraud. You hid the time you added the browning agent. Flour mixed with milk and butter doesn't automatically turn into a brownish dough.

Yap you can use margarine but it will affect the texture of the final result
Never had mine bake for the 15-20 minutes. Always takes more time. Got no idea why. Like some other 20 in addition.
