Ashley Simpson dancing like a fool after being exposed. Gold 😂👌
sorry but the Tiger Woods sketch was a CLASSIC. I LOVED it.
Ikr! I thought it was hilarious
It was so good lmaoooo
Ikr lol that was so hilarious
Seriously.. that was one of the best ones ever... The world is going to a hell in a handbasket if ppl think this is inappropriate... Who make your lists? Pink SJWs hating around the clock?
Ikr it was funny as hell to me LMAO 😂
Tom Green and "comedy" are mutually exclusive. He just does whatever he feels like and calls it comedy.
Ashley Simpson's musicians proved they were professionals by playing live after she bailed.
Yes. Very brave of them to play those 3 chords and make their singer look like an ass.
That was a hit job, they wanted out of their shitty contracts with a person that was never friendly or fair to them. They are fuckin heroes that took it on the chin and did everyone a favor.
@@FirstLast-cf4mi Yeah, it was their fault for playing the right song and their fault that someone in the audio booth put the wrong vocal track on because she was lip syncing. She made herself look like an ass, the band stayed professional and played through a live show while their fearless leader bailed on them lol
So true
@@skinsey85 remember....she also blamed them at the end!! She said" my band started playing the wrong song, so I decided to do a hoedown "
Adrian Brody's dred thing is legit the most awkward thing ever. I remember watching that one and being like "WTF if he doing!?!?!"
true, but if you closed your eyes and didn't know who he was, was it really that awful of an accent/impression?
@as bbb
I agree ...I'm Jamaican and he did pretty gud....compared to other impersonal I've witnessed...
Yeah that was embarrassing trash. Plus that hair looked like he had help, and the sound effects weren't just him so my guess is that it was written in (Adrian goes on stage and does his Jamaican dancehall impersonation) and SNL decided to dodge the blame and say it was just him. Either way it was painful.
@@professorswaggamuffin7572 I think the bit was planned but he improvised all the dialogue, so they probably didn't think he'd do the accent.
Of course it’s only white people who took offense to that.
That Tiger Woods skit was hilarious!
I always thought the Tiger Woods sketch was amazing 😂
“.... but the audience CLEARLY didn’t understand the impressions or what was going on.”
**audience laughs after impressions**
The Blind governor joke wasn’t bad tho
He was a drug addict who was put into a position of power disability or not.
It would have been even more insulting if they didn’t make fun of him
Andy Kaufman got the exact reaction he wanted. Maybe it was awkward at the time when no one was in on the bit, but in hindsight it's a brilliant commitment to using his fame to create a villain character out of himself.
Jeb Crockett the best people from SNL were the ones who were fired lol Norm Macdonald is also GOAT
You should watch Man On The Moon with Jim Carrey
What about the Sinead O Connor ripping of the pope picture?
Steven Do The K-pop Ho Well it started off as a gasp moment until she said “Fight the real enemy!” That bought it to many levels of uncomfortable
That’s not awkward, that’s straight up disrespectful
Buddy that's in every top 10 list.
Yeah but it was well deserved, fuck the pope
She's right, though...
“She ran off the stage...” *clearly is just walking slow af*
Keenan Thompson is a modern snl legend. His tiger woods sketch, along with his bill Cosby in prison one, are both completely hilarious.
When you make a joke about serious issues, it takes away the power that the aggressors have. It may be a joke, but it doesn't mean it hates the subject matter.
That entire January Jones episode is bone-chillingly awkward, but even worse than the Rear Window sketch is the disastrous first sketch where she awkwardly asks "Which camera?" before realizing she's LIVE ON THE AIR.
Carter Pewterschmidt hey did ya ever find out who stole your water?
@Shan McC - Well, as much as I love and admire January Jones, she had failed to deliver her talent in being the guest host and performer of "Saturday Night Live."
Right? She had no comedic timing and she was blah
Which is probably why she asked which camera.
Gal Gadot episode was awkwardAF
Nothing personal against Tom green, but i can't remember a time when he made me laugh . I mostly cringe.
Tom Green was never supposed to be funny. Lol
I can’t remember any funny snl sketches
Daddy, would you like some Sausage?
Daddy, would you like some Sausages?
I think that was his point.
When he gets bit by a snake in Road Trip. The best part of the movie is that he stays behind while most of the other characters go on that road trip.
"Domestic violence and comedy doesn't work together" - everybodys laughing at skit. Yee.. point not taken.
That Larry David joke got a chuckle out of me
And he's EFING JEWISH
I was kind of baffled that was on this list because the only thing coming to mind is "y'all all are aware Larry David is JEWISH, right? It's no different than when Mel Brooks makes Nazi jokes to try and fight something terrifying with humor"
Kaufman is pronounced like “cough-man”. Respect the OG.
More like "cough-min"...
Sounds to me like it originated from the German language. If so, then technically Kaufman is pronounced just like you write it. Man being pronounced as closer to mon more then the American 'man'.
No, it's a German name and pronounced like ow.
let's be honest, the tiger woods one was funny
Yeah, people are way too damn sensitive.
Louis CK' s monologue is gold
Agreed. He did what comedians are supposed to do--push the boundaries of what's comfortable to speak the truth, hilariously.
NBC tried blocking this earlier lol
Yeah and also that top 10 cringiest Pete Davidson moments. Watchmojo is trying to be offensively honest
@@eivorwolf-kissed6790 Good for Watch Mojo, fuck Comcast!
The tiger woods skit was golden lol
Andy would be so proud to have made this list.
"Domestic violence and comedy arent exactly a great mix..." Never heard of The Honeymooners? The most popular quote to come out of that show involved Ralph threatening to punch his wife so hard she flew to the moon, and it was hilarious.
The Tiger Woods skit was funny as hell! As for the blind person skit, heaven forbid they should do a Mr.Magoo skit!
To be fair it's not like he'll see it anyway.
So basically you don’t understand Andy Kauffman’s comedy...
I don't think anyone but Bob Zmuda truly understood his comedy, everyone else was in various stages of confusion.
You can understand it and still think that it was mostly just him wasting peoples' time. Not liking it doesn't mean you didn't "get" it.
Most of the time, that's exactly what it means. From movies, to music, to TV, the people who most dislike something are the ones who just don't get it. And no one is exempt from this. Not even you.
@@atimnie Sure. Sometimes I might not get it. But I got most of Kauffman's comedy. Some of it was just wasting time. Some of it was genius. But please don't say that someone doesn't "get it." They can get it just fine, that's objective understanding. What is subjective about humor is whether they find it funny.
Neither did the audience, and that's what made it awkward.
"An awful Jamaican accent?"
I mean. It wasnt perfect. But..You've clearly never heard us speak.
I was thinking that. I have quite a few Jamaican friends and I thought it wasn’t terrible.
@Forrest Robles That's your flaw, not his.
Am I weird because I find some of these really funny?
Ali Rae You’re weird maybe because you didn’t find all of them funny?
Aaron Williams above summed it up perfectly!
@@aaronwilliams589 I've read A LOT of comments in A LOT of comments sections...Yours is probably the number 1 comment of all time...in my opinion of course.... WELL DONE!!
when u censor out "everyones" phobias from comedy there is no comedy left..
Robert Rodriguez I agree, if they only did things that wouldn’t offense or anger a single person what would be the point in doing a show. That’s also with other live shows or just comedy in general
What’s interesting about M.Lawrence’s monologue is that the audience is laughing/loving it
I thought Louis C.K.’s monologue was really good.
It was genius.
Yeah, including that moment here is really off the mark. It was a terrific monologue.
Kanye doing something supporting a candidate he likes is bad? But Pete Davidson joking about Dan Crenshaw was just fine right?
Tino he issued an apology about that and it was a two second joke
I bet Kanye wakes up every morning and says to himself: “How am I gonna screw it up today?”
Andy Kaufman doing that did in fact help women's wrestling in the late 70s to mid 80s, hell even brought Jerry Lawler's carreer out of the gutter and helped to make him a legend
Louis ck was like the best monologue ever, it was hilarious.
I will always say this. Martin used to be in such good shape and his style was amazing to me idk I love it reminds me of the 90’s so much.
Tiger Woods sketch was dang funny. The others earned their position on this list.
I thought the tiger woods skit was funny af it's supposed to be comedy not statements about very serious topics... people get hyped up over jokes ... this PC BS is going to far......
Yeah, that was funny, if the PC police think this is bad, they should have seen some of the skits in the 70s and 80s....
Thank you watchmojo , very cool
That Louis CK joke was insanely funny cuz it was so wrong... #hilarious
Exactly his style is thought provoking and shocking. I ❤ him
Yeah watch mojo seems to be a very one sided, single minded channel when looking at it from a bigger perspective
@@oceanbacon3899 frfr I don't care Louis ck is hilariously raunchy. I still watch his stuff
That's his style too, I thought his set was freaking hilarious
I will admit I did think he was funny, but guys. You do know what he did, right??? You really shouldn’t go around saying you love Louis C.K. anymore.
Bro! That tiger wood is funny hahahahahaha Hahahah. I’m sorry though despite the context of the issue, any skits with kenan thompson is automatic laughter haha
Tom Green is an interesting one in that when his humor works for me, it works really well. When it bombs, man does itbomb spectacularly.
I never liked him, but I always felt the bombing was intentional performance art.
That Larry David joke was hilarious
Omg, I almost forgot about Steven Seagull....
No matter what you joke about in USA, someone always gets offended.
The Tiger Woods sketch was tame. Doesn't belong here.
These were all great!
You forgot Norm MacDonald being invited to host after he was fired, then crapping all over the show and its cast as the opening monologue.
This Louis CK monologue is the best ever
Tom Green being most remembered for Freddy Got Fingered...is equal parts sad and....sadder.
That Louie monologue was hilarious
The only awkward moment was the Ashley Simpson moment. Her lip singing being outed to the world, that weird little jig she did & leaving the stage was just so embarrassing on every level.
Louis ck's monologue was pretty good
David Patterson did a sketch WITH Fred Armeson! Also that one got huge laughs every time, not sure how you can label a live performance as "awkward" when the crowd loves it. Insensitive? Maybe? But again the real Paterson was in on the joke and also, still not "awkward".
6:00 I get you but the Woods' skit was funny.
2nd time watching this WM SNL is 👍.
BTW CONGRATS🍾🎊🎈👏 to Tiger Woods. Ending the decade with a bang❗✌
Wtf? Louis CK is not a pedophile. And that monologue is still gold
I think Martin Lawrence was drunk lmfao.
Nah- cocaine is a hell of a drug 😉
Oh, Kanye, you weren't bullied. Cast members were trying to save you from looking like an idiot, but you sure showed them.
let the man have his opinion, you know it's only #1 on this list because watchmojo is anti-trump
No one is really allowed off script tho.
SNL knew what they were doing when they had Kanye on. They knew it would be an issue. It was a ratings grab.
Watchmojo claims Adrien Brody's jamaican accent was terrible, when in reality, it wasn't that bad. But the joke? Yeah.....that was terrible!!!
The tiger woods skit was great
#6: i laughed throughout the entire entry.
ALL OF THIS IS BETTER THAN SNL NOW
Awkward in a cringy, bad way is one thing. Dark humor is another. Lighten up, WatchMojo.
Neat part is that during the Kanye speech you can see Pete Davidson walking away
Do a top ten list for the best SNL Cold Opens.
When you place the word "comedy" in the same sentence as the name "January Jones", you just cringe in horror.
The Patterson blind gag were moments plural and on several different episodes I thought..., I recall it being in poor taste but definitely a recurring bit. Especially him stumbling aimlessly in front of the camera.
Oh, Mojo. Jumping in the shallow end again.
The Louis CK bit was spot on, and only ankle deep thinkers fail to see the truth of what was conveyed.
Louis c.k. was actually really funny. Andy Kaufman was a genious. Some people just can't laugh at anything that isn't a 1960s sitcom.
Steve Mccart There’s something about seeing the word “genius” misspelled that I can’t help but find hilarious. Thanks! 😂
@@dcsmooth I used to proof read everything I wrote on you tube ,but it got to be so time consuming and annoying that I started to just let it go..no matter how blatant or obvious. Now that you point it out I've decided to purposely leave them as a running joke.(if you were trying to be facetious or not.)
The louis ck monologue was gold
I disagree with the one with Fred Armisen. He was just doing a character. His character just happened to be blind so they incorporated some funny things. It’s a comedy show for Pete’s sake!!
Exactly!
4 am and i'm watching this -- that's the real awkward tragedy
That Tiger Woods sketch seems great
In college I took two sugar cubes of acid and watched a Tom Green marathon and it all made sense..... Once sober it went back to WTF
You left out the time someone heckled Sid Caesar in the middle of a silent movie sketch on SNL. Awkward and disrespectful.
This is the best we could come up with. Really
With a President like yours, how can this honestly shock you?
MY MOOD RIGHT NOW Trump 2020
MY MOOD RIGHT NOW trump 2020
Tom Green and Andy Dick seem to lead the way at awkward moments
Tom Green is Tom Green- hilarious, but definitely shock/awkward humor. What did Lorne Michaels expect him to do?
Fred wasnt holding a map...it was a chart. lol if you're going to call someone out for not being funny, at least watch the sketch and pay attention
Nah people need to get a backbone. The blind guy and tiger woods skits were funny as hell
Everybody can be made fun of equally
11:10: "ran off the stage" my ass
"They bullied me backstage! THEY BULLIED ME!"
What really happened:
ASSISTANT: Oh Kanye, before you go on, PLEASE don't make that rant against Trump. Please, for the sake of your family, don't embarrass yourself.
KANYE: Man, YOU'RE BULLYING ME!
ASSISTANT: Kanye, I'm trying to help...
KANYE: YOU'RE BULLYING ME!
OTHER ASSISTANT: Sure, whatever you say, Kanye.
Usually Watchmojo has more of a sense of humor than this...I don't know what to say, they must have a had a bad day on this one or something.
Says you, I've been looking for Tom Green's "Funny Undies" song for years.
It’s impossible to get upset watching “stand up” as the whole point is to get reactions from the crowd, it’s an act maybe a personality is coming out but it’s still to cause a reaction and to get noticed
It's almost like comedy is often supposed to push social limits and not always intended to conform to what you think is right or moral.
there should be a most awkward ellen show moments
Louis CK makes an entire crowd of people laugh at an incredibly edgy joke
Watch Mojo: awkward
80% of these are fucking hilarious and awesome !!!!
"X hold the gate"
@12:14 When you see Ye's face like this on national tv...you know its about to go down.
Governor Paterson joined Armisen on Weekend Update during another sketch. So this is clearly another example of everyone getting offended except the target if the joke. Gotta admit, as a New Yorker I laughed my butt off when I watched it live, and never for a second considered equation blindness with stupidity.
How bout Fear's second musical act when the West Coast metalheads crashed the music stage and said "New York sucks!" on the mic? That was blantalntly disrespectful and way too awkward of SNL's Halloween episode back in 1981.
What she doin at..11:05 😂😂
I snorted super loud when I saw that the thumbnail had two shots that were *both* Kanye. Excuse me, Ye.
We're back in business
Louis CK set is still as deliciously funny as it was on the day it was made.
Bless the single woman that "woo"ed at the vote to keep Andy Kaufman
