With the lyrics "a'warring for the heavens, a peaceful man stands tall". I believe that is Christ because He will win that final battle of the spiritual war, and He is the peaceful man.
I always thought it was about the Antichrist because it says a "warning" for the heavens a peaceful man stands tall. Why would the heavens have to be warned or concerned if it was talking about Christ? Wouldn't all of heaven be rejoicing instead? I don't know for me this song has always been a cautionary tale of events leading up to Christ's return and biblically those who really need to be warned and concerned of his return will be all of us. He's given us plenty of time to get right and when he returns it will be to separate the wovles from the sheep during the white thrown judgement where he brings up the dead to be judged and then all of us. So really its a warning penned by the prophet Dave Mustaine "lead singer of Megadeth" for the humans and of course Satan and the fallen angles which will be delt with then as well. Hell was originally created just for Satan and the fallen angles he never intended for any of us to go there that's why he came as a man suffered and died for all of sin so we would have a chance and a choice to follow him into paridise. We must take caution tho because to repent is not just asking for forgiveness but also turning away from our old ways and sins especially willful sin because if you know that what you are doing is wrong and that Christ had to suffer for every sin committed you have an obligation to turn away from those deeds because you know better. Ignorance is nolonger an excuse for those who have been enlightened with the truth and have chosen to follow Christ. No one is perfect we all know that but if we truly love our creator we should try our best, one day at a time to disconnect from the sinful ways we've been lead into by all of the "peaceful" ..men and wemon that have the Antichrist spirit leading them along with intentions to control those within reach by guiding them into the flames! However which way you interpret the lyrics is always subjectable so I'm not saying your wrong I'm just sharing my perspective as a fan. You guys are really fun to watch you always make me think. I just went back and read all the lyrics and that's how I interpret thier meaning. The devil will indeed masquerade as a peaceful man and when he dose we have been warned in advance. It's time to ready ourselves choose a side and repent. Get ready for the grand finale as it is written and forseen the devil loses in the end that's why he's throwing a temper tantrum right now trying to get who he can before God shashes his head in and casts him into the pit. Good and evil are real, they are relevant don't listen to all of the misguided philosophys of those who try to tell you it's more complicated in the grey area where the line drawn in the sand between right and wrong is being smuged together and everyone is creating thier own righteousness. That's not how it works a child will tell with great detail the significance of knowing good and evil, right and wrong. It's a choice everyday to remember what Christ died for and why he had to. To release us from the grip of death and hell. Even if you don't believe any of this right is still right and wrong is still wrong. The word Satan means advasay of God do you really want to deny your own constant energy if it indeed leaves this world and settles into an eternity for the false light of a losing team and a losing advasay? For what, the freedom to be condemned on this world and eternally? If it's all true which I believe it is you have a choice to be delivered and saved from eternal damnation. Satan can go to hell, you still have a choice. Free will is free but it was paid for on the cross by Jesus. He suffered a horrific torching and murder for absolutely no sin. He had to deny his flesh to win the battle and he did but it wasn't easy. He could have said no at any moment, abandoned the mission to save all of humanity and lied about everything to remain a free man but he didn't because he wasn't a lier, he died for the truth! Not for any evil of his own he died for our sins and evil deeds. God bless you all.
I realize now that I started my comment as a response to your comment and got lost in the message. I apologise for stirring away from my response and writing more like a comment to address everyone. I've just been going through my own vally and sometimes I just lose sight of who I'm addressing and sticking to the point of who I'm responding to. I just want you to know you are right everything will shake in hesitation when Jesus descends down from heaven and a warning to everything created earth, people, heaven, angels, hell demons and Satan. I was just looking at it a different way then I started going off like I was addressing the world lol.
