I’ve been accidentally freeforming locks for the past 8 months. Got natural locks forming and I’ve barely touched them! Love what he said about self love and self acceptance.

Great info! I will show my children this. They just decided to freeform at 9 and 11 years old (girls). My son has been freeform for a year with previous maintenance, he's 6

Ppl still look down on freeforms as "madness". We need to change that.

Washing hair good. Beauty is beautiful like warm flows of sun rays on a beautiful green leaf in autumn. The last green one on the tree. Hanging on until the very last second until it couldn’t have lasted anymore. A beautiful moment that is generationally intense.

*My friend has traditional dreads every time I'd go around/hang out with him he'd make fun of my hair calling me homeless out loud in front of all our other friends it got to the point where I said you do this in front of everyone every time I come around I guess that still didn't get through his head he still continued to do it so I cut him off I haven't spoken to him in about 2-3 yrs I've lost alot of friends through my spiritual journey bc they didn't match my energy or I saw something in them that gave off fake/jealous vibes but I've also gained friends that I can call real ones*

Appreciate the breakdown on freeforms! I started mine almost 3 years ago and went with a semi freeform. I was really impatient at the beginning. I watched alot of your videos and was inspired go completly freeform. I started leaving them alone and letting it do its own thing. It made me truely appreciate my locs by going through the journey and i am so glad i did. Love the way they turned out and are still growing. Love the freedom i feel from it too. So, BIG UPS to KnotNation! Mad respect my man!

Sorry, but I don't agree with everything. I wear them because I like them, because of their form and wildness, it looks absolute amazing. But I am not wearing them to make contact to a God or a Religion or to get power from them and so on. To me they are just hair, but they look cool.

Theirs a interesting side of the same coin. Not being connected to society by letting your hair grown naturally. Yet I’ve also noticed some people who get overly attached to their hair. Kind of why I’ve seen in some points of view it’s better to shave your head bald. Been growing my hair for little over a year so it’s interesting of trying to walk the fine line of not getting to attached to anything.

Question I have short hair curls like OBJ a fro hawk low. I want to start freeform from this length what I do ? I use a dred brush and circle it around and I put oil to keep it smelling good and healthy. I sweat a lot so I’m undecided how I can freeform. I also have to use ketoconazole shampoo for my dry scalp twice a week and a condition my hair whenever I sweat a lot or rinse my hair. What your opinion on what I should do ? Thanks

Man, after too much overthinking i found that maybe freeform its exactly what i need to do to get dreads cause my hair actually section itself kinda good! But i have a cuestion, i have really long hair now, should i trim tips to clean it up before starting to help it to not mess up with sectioning? Also, ponytail or things like that are allowed to keep out face the hair while freeforming? I guess the more you have free your hair its better but sometimes you need yo knot it hahaha

What types of shampoo detangle hair? I'm a couple weeks in and tend to get anxious because i feel like my shampoo resets the progress. Maybe it's a pointless thought because my hair isn't that tangled yet anyway.

@@crunchypunchfn7880 i think youre projecting and reading into things that arent really there. Who said anything about being chosen and having a spiritual calling? How and why did you connect that to hair? Because i didnt and i dont think knot nation did either. A calling is about action. Something you are here to do in this life. Your purpose. Your gifts and talents. Your calling in life has nothing to do with hair or your outer appearance. Are you sure you truly understand the words you are using and hearing/reading? All i said was locs symbolize freedom and self acceptance because its a natural hairstyle. That has meaning if you ask me

One option is to separate knots so the locks don't get very thick.
I do mainly so they dry fast as I live in a cool climate. Also they are kept neat and more acceptable to some.
Otherwise basically no maintenence and you get some of the beauty and uniqueness of freeform. New growth and frizz eventually locks, or not, adding to the organic journey
