Interesting thought: After its first use, the crown kept granting the same wish until it was reset, making anyone who wore it like Evergreen. The second time it was used the wish was to protect Simon. It wasn't reset after that. And when Gunter, who is secretly Orgalorg, got it next, the thing it did (turn Gunter into the Ice Thing) protected Simon (by preventing Orgalorg from ever being a threat to him again).
That's a really good way of thinking of it. I never thought of that. I was honestly confused on why the crown got another wish. Maybe it was a continuity error, but I like to think your theory is right!
My theory is that the crown sort of combines the first wish made after-reset + the current wish being made. Gunther made the first "default wish", so everyone after him would have a combination of "being Evergreen" + their own wish. Simon at first only wore it as a joke, and didn't have anything in mind at the moment (being a famous researcher, having his own house, a woman who he loves and loves him equally). However, after Betty disappeared, he got his wish, to find "his princess", which the crown mutated into his obsession with princesses. What happened to Gunther was probably that, a combination of the "default wish" (now being "protect Simon") and his own wish (become the Ice King)
I wonder how much further could we go by resetting the crown and giving it to someone else. We had Evergreen, Ice King, Ice Thing, how distorted can we go from the original Ice Elemental?
Its funny that the second the ice elemental frozed herself, the ice king came in and took her place as the elemental. It might be like the universe trying to balance itself or something.
after the mushroom war during the apocalypse, i think the oozers (the green goo monsters) were the slime assimilation, and the pink goo was the mother gum. but what happened to the fire elemental then???
A good summary, and tying it into the idea of Cycles is a take I admit I haven't seen explored before. The only thing I'll take issue with is the implication that Betty's wish went "wonky." She tried to wish away Golb in a couple of ways with the crown before she realized it wasn't powerful enough to attack directly, then just wished she had the power to save Simon, "however it has to happen." The tone of her voice and the look on her face suggested a sense of acceptance, as she had to know from all her studies the price she'd have to pay in Madness and Sadness for that kind of power. She may not have known she would fuse with Golb, but she knew whatever was going to happen, "Betty" would cease to exist. ... ... damn it, did I just write an entire "Um, Well, Actually 🤓" essay to a Creator on UA-cam who probably already knew all the information in it because of a single ambiguous word choice? AGAIN?! I have a problem.
Haha no worries, I love when people disagree with me or bring up new points that I didn't realize. I LOVE talking about Adventure Time, so I love stuff like these. Please keep commenting, whatever it may be, I appreciate it so much! But you are right. I think the word "wonky" was definitely used poorly there. Because I do agree, I think she knew what she was doing with that final wish.
@Paxw golb is a fundamental part of the universe he's the anthropomorphic embodiment of entropy. Nothing is powerful enough to erase that. Just like when death "died," death is another anthropomorphic embodiment of a fundamental function of reality. You can kill/change the form of it, but the underlying principle will always exist.
I think it's interesting how, unlike all the other crown wearers, Gunther actually fused with the crown, effectively preventing anyone else from ever being able to wear it again. Also it's being worn by the Orgalorg, so you've got to wonder how that affects the ice thing's power levels. Maybe that's why it's transformed so much by the time it shows up in the future. It didn't stay the same shape as the other wearers. Maybe it can use the primary function of the crown as many times as it wants since it is the crown? I wonder if someone stole his eye to de-power him?
There is a great theory somewhere in the comments, that after Betty's wish the crown is locked in the "protect-Simon" state So maybe it's essentially trying to protect Simon by preventing him and anyone else from putting it on ever again
Yeah I never thought of it like this. I just thought maybe the Adventure Time creators ran out of time and wasn't really thinking for the continuity of the show. But knowing the creators, that's probably not the case. You're probably right. I think that it fused so quickly and the crown "disappeared" because it was still protecting Simon. Making the crown no longer wearable to anyone else. I think you're spot on here

Makes you wonder where Evergreen and the other elementals really come from. They don't seem to be from the timeline/reality they shown to be in (which I assume on Earth 65 million years ago). The elementals seem out of place in the dino world as if they were banished or stranded there. If all else, they were either from the distant future or another reality altogether. A major clue about multiple realities comes from the book of Enchriridioin. All the princess gems plus the three red gems are connected to the book. The three red gems came from that dino monster that Evergreen fought. So if that event happened first, then the Enchiridion was created after (by who I don't know and Prismo isn't gonna tell). It is also possible that there were more sets of red gems out there (one set for the crown and the other for the book). Either way, magic and technology played a crucial role here.
Yeah you bring up a good question and I've always wondered that myself. I think Patience St. Pim briefly goes over how the elementals came to be, but I think it's very short and still doesn't explain a whole lot. And yeah the Enchiridion is also another mystery. You bring up a good point, and honestly, I think technically the writers made a continuity mistake here. Or maybe I'm missing something, but you're right, the crown should not have reset after granting the wish for Betty
Gunther said sven only wore the crown once, right? But we see many people try on the crown throughout the series. we even see abracadaniel use the power of the crown in the wizard road trip episode. So if all it takes is donning the crown one time to store your consciousness in it's circuitry many more people should be in there.
Yeah, you're right. I mean, even the town they travel through inside the crown looks pretty big. Or at least big enough to support more than the two people we see. I bet you're right though. There are probably more people inside the crown that have worn the crown before
Possibly. I know this wasn’t officially said in the show but once someone questioned how at the end of “thank you”, Jake was able to wear the crown w/o going crazy-if forget if it was in the commentary or w’ever but the writer said the crown doesn’t affect Jake bc he’s already magic. Same w/ when abracadaniel wore it. I guess a better explanation would be that besides the powers, the crown can only affect 1 host at a time, but maybe that’s why there weren’t others in there (at least none that we saw)
I think it only affects one person at a time. We've seen several others have the crown, like Gunther, when he was rebuilding the Ice Kingdom for Oce King. Seven could've worn it once and started to become the Ice King, but after taking it off and never putting it on again, perhaps it was already too late for him. After he died, which would reset the Ice King cycle, Simon had already bought it from the Scandinavian Dockworker, perhaps a relative or friend of Sven's, or Sven himself?. Anyways, after Sven probably died, Simon was the next to wear it, and his curse and transformation was set in stone.
I feel like the crown "fused with the ice thing" because the only thing that could overwrite a wish from the crown would be another wish, so to prevent such a wish from ever happening again, the crown basically made it so that another wish could never be made

bro i am a big fan of adventure time and one day i found your channel and i was so happy that there are people who make regular video for this unique animation. Straight forward and up 💪🏼 massive W
I've noticed one thing about the ice king...you know how he kidnaps princesses? What if his lingering memory is telling him that he needs his princess (which was betty's nickname from simon)
after watching the new episodes of Fionna and Cake, the crown is way way way more significant to the creation of ooo. we literally got the main continuity thanks to a kidnapped dinosaur called Gunther
Accidentally becomes a facsimile of his Father Figure/ Personal Hero and his immediate realization and the only words out of his mouth in increasing desperate cries.... "Gunther, No!"
a thought I had about this a few days ago was that when the crown transforms the wearer then when they become the ice king then they try pursue their heart's deepest desire since all simon ever wanted was to find betty and kidnapping princesses was ice king's main thing at the beginning of the show, and with farmworld finn all he wanted to do was to help people and when he and the lich were trying to open the portal he said he trying to open the portal into a better world and keeping all the people in the ice so that they could stay safe inside of it
Why Simon is the only one that kept alive by the crown despite the other wearers that die is that have something to do with Betty wish also why Ganter doesn't effected by the crown when he wear it when he reconstruct the ice kingdom
Adventure Time show me something odd. I think it was Mark Twain who said it, “History doesn’t repeat but it often rhymes.” In adventure time, many civilizations are ended by catastrophic events. In evergreen, the comment hit. In Simon’s world, the war occurred. Then even in the future, Princess Bubblegum’s civilization ended in some sort of catastrophe. Adventure Time shows of how time itself will repeat over and over again. All good things must come to an end. But it also shows a tragic side to it. Even though Adventure Time has very poignant moments, it’s a message to make the most of life with loved ones. Wether it be for a brief time or a long time. Always love those around you no matter what. Godspeed.
Dino Gunther broke the crown, his wish broke his mind and his mind breaking corrupted the crown. Evergreen made it clear that if he had taught Gunther some of the magic basics, Gunther could have recentered his mind and fixed things or something like that been a bit since I saw that episode…
I don’t like being a hater, but, haters gotta hate. This video kind of feels rushed… it never stays on one topic for long enough to comprehend. I am a huge Adventure Time fan being even then I was lost in your conclusions. It also was kinda dumb to tell the story then go back and explain more things in detail rather than tell the story with the details included.
If the Crown itself is a character personified, I think it has such a fascinating morality. It helped doomed the world once, but then it saved the world also. It has been in every crucial point of history, and even in alternate realities, either acting as a hero or a villain.
Now imagine... What if in one of the dimensions in Fionna and Cake.... That it gets worn by the ONE thing it was created to DESTROY! Yeah the LICH wearing the crown.. Madness affecting that evil being would be crazy.
If the ice elemental froze herself why would it picc a new elemental if the last one is still alive??? And who came first?? Evergreen or patience?? He was trying to stop the bomb and she froze herself?? How does that work?? Was it 2 ice elements at the same time
4:34, if the crown reset would all those peoples minds and memories be erased? Like would past wearers of the crowns consciousness be lost forever, ripped from the universe? does anyone know
This is interesting, because the crown did reset. So I think you're right. I think all the previous people trapped inside the crown AI got erased. But at the same time that could be seen as a good thing. Finally being released from the Crown's curse
i guess that would depend on whether you see them as separate entities (souls) inside the crown or just a part of the crown (data), first scenario the souls themselves are separate, so they would be effected separately, altering them specific to the person (gunther could lose their intelligence as they were a dinosaur given sapience for example) potentially keeping these reduced forms inside the reset crown, or these forms could potentially be reduced to nothing anyways, but if you see them as data, they would definitely be reset as the crown reverts
ppl forgot that jake might still alive, because he es sleeping giving life to prismo maybe they do something about it idk, plus when lich "die" i say "die" becuz hes head was in the midel, he might still alive but like a cosmic prision thing only this head floatinc around
Crown has mad curse because of lava dog 3 power red jewelery stones. I think magic and sainty of this dog in these red stones united with electric parts of crown, that's why Ice king and others had mad curse.
About life in a circle to repeat itself im surprised u didn't further prove it by bring up the.Vampire king and his speach of the wheel of fortune and wanting to break out the repeating cycle
hey bro whats your fav character of adventure time? sorry if this is a annoying simple question and other question: does the ice thing has the memories of the ice king?
Might be a bit boring, but probably Finn. An no don't worry, it's not an annoying simple question. I love answer questions! And the Ice Thing technically wouldn't have any memories of the Ice King because the crown got totally reset inside of Golb, back to the days when the crown was first created
I didn't even knew that giant elephant was Magwood until videos described so. I just thought some random past incarnation that resembled tree trunks came busting in out of fear of the comet. However, if such is the case maybe Magwood's physical appearance can be deciphered. After all tree trunks did have an episode with the respective element of Fire (Ring of Fire).
Something thats always bothered me is the lack of citizens in the ice kingdom. We know the ice king is easy a few thousand years old. He was alive long before the fall of modern civilization. Which means he was always the ice king as far as the kingdom we see in Oo is concerned. He's even talked about "traditions" in the ice kingdom in multiple episodes and talks about himself as if he actually has to shoulder the responsibilities of a leader. So where are his people? We only ever see the penguins which he treats as little more than pets. Its nothing like the parent-child relationships we see between other royals and their people. Even PB who literally created her people from raw materials treats them more like people and citizens than ice king does with the penguins. We're never given a reason or whereabouts to the people of the ice kingdom and whenever finn and jake are seen traveling through it, he rarely runs into anyone and even then, he runs into the odd wild animal or monster. Not a city. Not people. The only thing that makes sense to me is that simon, in his earlier years as the ice king, was unstable and mentally insane. Thats been shown and proven in several flashbacks. He'd black out and do something crazy with the crowns powers before snapping back to reality with no clear memory and a lot of regret. What if, in one of these black outs, he went around zapping all of his citizens into penguins? Its easy to say these penguins despite the ice kings treatment, are smarter than your average bird. They have the same cognitive level of thinking as any other character in the show. Nothing like the wild wolves, birds, and various other woodland creatures we see throughout the show. I never see anyone talk about this so maybe i missed something but idk... Ice king is sus.
The amount of what if in adventure time is many ..... Wait the current ice elemental knows the truth what if she wished her predecessor succeeded and stop the comet 🤔 or would that be a worse can of worms than Finns wish?

Dude, only just found your channel today and these descriptions have me on the floor. "Not so cool" and "pretty clutch" had me in tears
bro i am a big fan of adventure time and one day i found your channel and i was so happy that there are people who make regular video for this unique animation. Straight forward and up 💪🏼 massive W
Thank you so much bro!!! I really appreciate it!!
You know what’s sad, princess bubblegum was he’s main princess to steal because she was the closet one that acted like Betty.
the crown’s wish magic reset in golb’s stomach when it reverted to it’s older state, making it no longer broken & allowing another wish.
I've noticed one thing about the ice king...you know how he kidnaps princesses? What if his lingering memory is telling him that he needs his princess (which was betty's nickname from simon)
I think you're right!
"I MADE THAT ITEM WITH THE MAGIC THAT I STOLE!"
-Ice King
😂
He's technically not wrong...
Tree trunks and mag wood are the same person YOU CANT CHANGE MY MIND!! FIGHT ME !!!!
😂
Ok I'll fight lol! Magwood is a dog tree trunks is an elephant. Also magwood is a lava elemental and tree trunks is an elephant lol. 😂
Just realized that ooo looks like a majestic bird, kind of cool.
"In the late 1900s"
*Great now I feel old*
😂😂😂
after watching the new episodes of Fionna and Cake, the crown is way way way more significant to the creation of ooo. we literally got the main continuity thanks to a kidnapped dinosaur called Gunther
Adventure time would make for an Amazing open world game if done properly
Agreed
Accidentally becomes a facsimile of his Father Figure/ Personal Hero and his immediate realization and the only words out of his mouth in increasing desperate cries....
"Gunther, No!"
I can tell this guy loves writing, the alliteration is CRAZY
Bro I can't explain how much I love this and I mean his dialogue is just art work and no one can change my mind lmao
a thought I had about this a few days ago was that when the crown transforms the wearer then when they become the ice king then they try pursue their heart's deepest desire since all simon ever wanted was to find betty and kidnapping princesses was ice king's main thing at the beginning of the show, and with farmworld finn all he wanted to do was to help people and when he and the lich were trying to open the portal he said he trying to open the portal into a better world and keeping all the people in the ice so that they could stay safe inside of it
"That boy ain't right." - Evergreen
1:18 i think he wished to be evergreen but the way he look up to him, thats why he was so poweful that he can stop the meteor
You have a talent for hooking your viewer until the end, this is the third video I’m watching because of the post-video links 😂
Thank you! That's something I've been trying to work on a lot recently
Sad this didn't include more stuff with Ice Thing, Gibbon and the Pup Kingdom vs Ice Thing Lore
I have a whole sperate video about the future Pup Kingdom and Gibbon!
Now imagine... What if in one of the dimensions in Fionna and Cake....
That it gets worn by the ONE thing it was created to DESTROY!
Yeah the LICH wearing the crown.. Madness affecting that evil being would be crazy.
AMAZING how this is all being explained now
Adventure Time's lore is so freaking cool
bro you were really pushin the time limit of this video huh
I don't get why you had to re-explain the same time twice in the same video. I had whiplash hearing the same thing twice.
For it to win against glob ever green was genius
The crown didnt change anything really, invented the crown and the wish was wasted, didnt invent the crown and the comet still strikes
Another great video
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
I love the way you word things, it sounds just like an AT episode lol
Oh and also if the nightosphere is sustained by chaos then does that mean Golb is the god of the nightosphere
0:10 "Meet T-Rexes!"
BOI
7:58 or in other words, everything stays, but it still changes
Please don't skip the primordial monsters video,🥺
I won't. It'll be a future video, don't worry
@@paxw37 ok thanks i thought you did that instead of it
why the elemental of ice is always obsesed with not die to the catalist comet?
Good question. Idk 😂
Gunther really had to put on that crown
Adventure time if everyone just agreed to get rid of the catalyst comet
"the late nineteen hundreds"
goddamn I feel old
😂😂
If the ice elemental froze herself why would it picc a new elemental if the last one is still alive???
And who came first?? Evergreen or patience?? He was trying to stop the bomb and she froze herself?? How does that work?? Was it 2 ice elements at the same time
evergreen came before patience. he's from the dinosaur era and patience is from around the real world's modern era
So wait does that mean Orgalorg wants to be like Evergreen/Ice King?
Don't know if it was Orgalorg in control or just Gunter in control. But yeah whoever it was wished to be like the Ice King
Before it was worlds, now it’s realities
If the crown reset, does that mean everyone who was in the crown just died?
Sadly, yes. Or at least, I think
ppl forgot that jake might still alive, because he es sleeping giving life to prismo maybe they do something about it idk, plus when lich "die" i say "die" becuz hes head was in the midel, he might still alive but like a cosmic prision thing only this head floatinc around
I swear it wasn’t me it was the crown 🎵
i love that he talks like how i imagine someone from adventure time would talk about this stuff
Ty!!!
Crown has mad curse because of lava dog 3 power red jewelery stones. I think magic and sainty of this dog in these red stones united with electric parts of crown, that's why Ice king and others had mad curse.
I blame Gunther for everything both versions but Betty was a real one
Of all things he could have created he chose ...a crown ?
ice crown was pretty cool, it could be used during the time without magic.
SANTA?!
😂😂
About life in a circle to repeat itself im surprised u didn't further prove it by bring up the.Vampire king and his speach of the wheel of fortune and wanting to break out the repeating cycle
Anyone notice how the creature that had the gems as eyes looked like tree trunks and how the comet looked like the litch
hey bro whats your fav character of adventure time? sorry if this is a annoying simple question
and other question: does the ice thing has the memories of the ice king?
Might be a bit boring, but probably Finn. An no don't worry, it's not an annoying simple question. I love answer questions! And the Ice Thing technically wouldn't have any memories of the Ice King because the crown got totally reset inside of Golb, back to the days when the crown was first created
@@paxw37 oh, thank you so much! Nice video
please can you do a theory on magwood and tree trunks? is she a reincarnation of it?
I gotchu. Didn't even realize that at first
@@paxw37 wooo :D
I didn't even knew that giant elephant was Magwood until videos described so. I just thought some random past incarnation that resembled tree trunks came busting in out of fear of the comet.
However, if such is the case maybe Magwood's physical appearance can be deciphered. After all tree trunks did have an episode with the respective element of Fire (Ring of Fire).
Huh, how very fascinating, i wonder why the Crown merged with Gunter?
I also changed my logo to the lich
How come Betty didnt just go to prismo to fix simon?
Well, what about memory entities of the crown? They will be reseted?
i forgot how disgusting and disturbing this kids show was
Why is the crown so powerful to begin with
read it as "how ice cream changed adventure time"
The amount of what if in adventure time is many .....
Wait the current ice elemental knows the truth what if she wished her predecessor succeeded and stop the comet 🤔 or would that be a worse can of worms than Finns wish?
Yeah probably... 😅
It feel like you repeated the whole script twice throughout the video 🤔
0:10 that aint a tyrannosaurus my man
Dude ngl but you sound like fun! I like that I found your channel on god !! Do you have a tidi talk ??
my question is why would orgalorg want the crown and why would he be even stronger
What’s the Curses name because I just wanted to know
that's new
how ice king like gunter, while dino gunter doesnt?
LO CAMBIA TODO :O
