"Monster Con" goes back to the multiplayer dating sim formula: go through absurd and funny situations as you find love among six sexy monsters!
Who will you romance? The mimic who cosplays? The idol clown? Or everyone's favorite eldritch cutie? (there's also Liam)

Retreat will most likely release afterwards, and after that Monster prom reverse

Very obvious things I noticed while rewatching (and dancing to) this:
- Nico is a mimic. They are also wearing a familiar cosplay at 0:11 that I can't put my finger on. (Inshin Kiwami reference?)
- Omen has a single arm. This is even more evident when she grabs Nico's beard.
- Doug is really, really, really hot.
- Liam is a fan of April's. He's wearing her merch at 0:44, which probably means she's an idol at the con.
- Everyone's dances are references that I don't know. Nico: Suzuyami Haruhi, Liam: Carmeldansen, April: Joshikaru
Haruhi, Joshiraku, Carmeldansen, Ezbeky(the anime op) and Popipo are the ones I recognize.
Nico reminds me of Okita Soji

I can't believe they actually made a hot Mimic stud. Mimic chicks definitely, but not a guy. Kind a like Venus from Skullgirls.

Im not sure if Im looking too deep into it but I like how it seems each character is a different kind of con goer
- Zoe is typical nerd but mostly going for media she loves
- Liam is either there for nerdy culture, he's popular, OR something strange is happening (with his intro having multiple Liams and all)
- Nico is a dnd/fantasy cosplayer
- Doug is a gaming food loving nerd
- April seems to be some sort of Idol like Hatsune Miku
- Omen seems to be either a roleplay cosplayer, an idol, or something else entirely

To be fair, there are lots of horror stories/fictions about evil clowns.
Either that or Pennywise. Or both, for all we know.
That or holloween pranks gone wrong in the past or dnd alien clown species from that alien clown movie.
I like how Doug is the only male character with no muscles and still gets the most love, truly shows that fat people can find love too

My opinions on each one:
Zoe - Best girl!
Liam - Imo he's fine. Still, happy he's back!
Doug - I didn't know he was playable in Monster Camp until today! Anyway, he seems to be lovable.
Nico - A HUMANOID MIMIC?! Sign me up to learn more about them!
Omen - Is this the first time we get a datable option that's handicapped? If so, I welcome this girl with open arms and a hug! (Even though she looks like she'll kill me if I do try to hug her)
April - She's.....so.....CUTE!!!!! I don't care if she's a clown, I love her design! I hope her personality is just as good as her looks! 🥰
All in all, this is definitely my favorite bunch of new dateable characters!
The fact that I have been physically sick from excitement because of this announcement is concerning

Would be super excited for this just on principle. Doubly excited because Zoe's involved (though being set at a Con, how could she not be?), but also super eager to find out what Omen's deal is (aside from being both a literal and maybe figurative Iron Maiden I'm guessing).

at 0:40 there is a minor artistic inconsistency where you can see Zoe giving a thumbs up with her right hand. This contrasts her right arm usually just being one exceptionally long tentacle!

This looks dope as hell. Clowns are terrifying monsters I’m happy to see my fears validated. Also the chibi dances fill a hole in my soul I didn’t know existed.
