It's no secret why despite you having a smaller following, companies are willing to send you expensive products as opposed to other reviewers. These videos are on a different level from nearly everyone else.
OC Racing, you've truly become one of the best sim equipment reviewers on UA-cam. I watch pretty much every one of your videos (regardless of the product being tested), and I really enjoy your detailed but concise presentation style. It would be great if you could create channel playlists for each of the type of product you review (i.e. one for pedals, one for wheelbases, one for wheels, one for shifters, one for rigs, one for comparisons, one for motion platforms, etc.). I'd love to see you review each of the DOF reality motion rigs in the future; it would also be great to see if the P-series justifies the price increase over the H-series. Keep up the great work! 👍
Thank you!! With regards to the playlists, I’ve been meaning to do that! Will make sure its done as soon as I get a chance. With regards to the DOF motion systems… stay tuned 👀 Thanks for your support :)
Hi, minute 3:05, you are wrong, it does not simulate heave, it is only a 2 DOF system, pitch and roll only. To simulate heave you would need 2 of those.
Just a side note and tip for you… you are WAYYYYY to far away from your wheel. Your arm should be bent at like at 45 degree angle. It straight out. Sit in your seat, put your arm out. Wheel should be between your wrist and middle forearm. Gives you more control
I wonder if they've considered releasing a model priced at $1750 that has a max supported weight of ~300lbs. I primarily want to use this with my VR rig but for $3.5K....I could assemble a second rig, plus more.
I use the MP plus platform for over 3 months now 100% with VR. and i agree it gives a lot off happines. Driving the system helps a lot to feel the moment of going on the throttle and how much out off the corners. Also with the amount off brake input and steering into a corner at the same time is the sytem helping me to time the right moments. I am very happy with it. Altough my wife telling me over and over again that it looks stupid seeing me move in all kind of different directions all the time, the system stayes.🎉
I think this looks solid for 3500 , and I feel you could add it to any half decent rig. The noise would not bother me and I am sure in real life the cars has some extra sounds we don't get with the sims. Solid review, this is definitely a product I'll keep my eye on.
My main concern is durability • What can be expected? Furthermore, what can go wrong, and how does one go about fixing it? What kind of warranty do the manufacturer offers?
Well since this channel has gotten to motion rigs, I wonder how this stacks against the DOF reality H3 which is like 2.2k compared to this at 3.5k. They both claim 3 axis, but the H3 is Pitch, roll, yaw/rear traction, while this is pitch, roll, and heave.
$3,500 is fairly cheap for a full motion platform. I was gonna get the dof reality h3, but I decided on this because I think it'll give a better in the seat feel. I can't wait
Have you got it yet? i'm so close to pulling the trigger, but i'm so worried. I live in an apartment, is it too loud? I use buttkickers (only during the day, and never up too loud) and have never had a complaint.
It looks like you're too far from your steering wheel. There should be a steep bend in your elbow and it looks like your arms are almost completely straight. Might wanna try moving the pedals back and your seat closer to your wheel. Just a friendly tip!
Yup, appreciate it Michael! I do sit at a pretty awkward position this video but that’s mostly so that my body and it’s movement shows on camera but not my face 😉
Friends talking about getting into a motion rig after getting a new DD wheel, and there's me listening and still putting water into my shampoo so it can last longer.
Hey, I have the same next level racing f-gt chassis. I noticed in your video that the side pillars on the chassis are really high (since the seat attaches so low. If you invert how the seat is mounted it makes it hands down more comfortable viewing. So it’s just racing the height of the seat.
This is the best motion platform i have seen. A lot better that the other thing they have that moves the whole cockpit everywhere and is hard to use unless you have full free space left and right in your room or more like a whole room for it. Price of this is better too but still quite high. Is not impossible to save some money to get it BUT this high price causes me anxiety in other departments. Like what if it gets damaged in shipping or ends being a faulty unit or breaks after 4 months or something. After spending so much, such a thing will be devastating. Next Level Racing better offer some high guarantee on this product and have a great customer service.
Came from your g29 review video! Hopefully I’ll be getting my hands on my first ever rig which will be the GT omega art cockpit, with the G29 as my starter and then hopefully move up to the more realistic wheels. Keep up the amazing content. You’ve definitely got my attention with these videos! Dropped a sub 👍🏼
@@OCRacing A good amount of people that use motion sims tend to either go with VR or a single Ultrawide display. That's especially true with some of the DIY 6DoF ones available.
Thanks for the review. I have the opportunity to grab 2 of these with a hefty discount I'm just struggling to decide if it's worth the extra immersion. Your video is one among my search
How to setup software for just back like here.. I have motion just back mounted but its revers force for braking an acceleration.. In initial setup just gove me option for front or dual
If you did that in VR IT would be so much better, Because the road would actually tilt with you. It's also much more immersive, Once you go VR you never go back.

Well, it looks good until the price tag 😂 My IRL E46 was cheaper than the motion platform itself, so it’s really difficult for people like to justify the purchase
The only problem i see is that the Yaw is in the same price range and has a huge degree of motion, Although i do really like this product if they dropped the price to 2000 i would buy it. or if they included the cockpit but at that price for what else is available it makes no sense.

Haven’t tested it out on the front. But I think it makes more sense on the rear since that’s where you would feel most of the effects no? Will have to try it out and report back 🫡

This may be a dumb question, but are there ANY motion platforms to recommend for CONSOLES??
At first I was like, 6dof is the only way to go... but the more I think about it - this would be way more like what it would feel like in a real car.
Motion plus vs sfx100 what would you choose?
What happens if you have a cockpit mounted monitor? Will it stay afloat?
Will it make more sense if the monitors move with the seat ???
Hello, great review 👍 just one question, is it more realistic than the V3 motion platform ? I don't know wich one I must buy...
Can this be used for ps5?
your wheel is too far away. your elbows should be flexed to 90ish degrees. It gives you more control
