@@ВикторЖелезняков-м9ь Sorry to hear that. Hang in there. When you're independent, you can move to one of the many LGBTQ-friendly parts of the world. Good luck.
I hope that I will leave my country and go to where I can be myself. It will not be soon. Perhaps many years later. But at the moment I need to keep my secret from my friends, parents and teachers. Thanks for the kind words. It's very important for me.
People are saying she's transgender. I do not believe this is true. At the end of the movie she identifies herself as a Laure . She only said she's a boy because the boy's she became friend's with assumed she was a boy. She was the new kid and would do anything to fit in. Even pretend she's a boy.
she already acted like a boy before moving there. she didnt do that to fit in there with those kids. she was already like this. at the end she just said her name was laura because Lisa already knew she was a girl and there was no more secrets, but i think she still liked to act like a boy. it doenst necessarily means she was a transgender. it could only mean a girl who likes to act like a boy.
That's why it's called Tomboy -- because she's a tomboy. She saw the boys playing and knew they wouldn't take her seriously as a girl, so she said she's a boy to fit in. Then she got caught in the lie and had to make the fake penis for swimming. She is a tomboy, not transgender. So tired of the transgender crap being crammed down our throats.
I disagree, I was a tomboy, I don't identify as trans, and I related really strongly to the main character. That's what's so great about this film -- a lot of people who identify differently can see themselves reflected in it.
Agreed! Same as me, I was always mistaken as a boy as a kid because I did "Boyish" things and dressed differently than the norm. But I've never identified as trans.
@@helenaww says who? All sorts of people do all sorts of things, and "Mikael" was trying to pass when they went swimming. I think it's wonderful that the director intentionally created a character that many people across the gender and sexuality spectrum can identify with, that's empathy at its finest.
I have seen a lot of pre teen girls not wear swim tops (90s) while on holidays in Spain/Northern Africa . More common with mainland europeans . Now a days girls must wear ful swim suits due to school/community pool policies
I saw the movie and, in my opinion, she is indeed a tomboy, once she just gets mistaken by a boy and starts to act like one. She doesn' t introduce herself initially as a boy, only after the other kids mistake her for one. As a tomboy myself, if when I was younger somebody mistaked me for a boy, I would probably had gone throught with it, cause it is exciting to keep a secret like that. In her case I think she didn't tell them the truth because she was already starting to be a part of the group and making friends.
You people all got it wrong!! It's not that transgender people from day one have a solid fixed gender identity. Mikeal clearly wanted to be taken as a boy. It takes time and lots of courage for young kids to develop a gender identity that transgresses the identity their parents have decided for them. Mikeal WANTED to be a boy, but he did not have the resources or opportunities until they moved into their new place. Being a former tomboy and present transman I could easily see myself in his experience. It wasn't like that from my cradle I identified as a guy and chose a guy name for myself, etc. There were a lot of back and forth, and many first days for many things....and NO, it has nothing to do with "lets have a secret and if they think I am a boy lets play the part"! ridiculous! Like Mikeal I had to go through a lot of trouble to convince others I was a boy, and not the other way around.
Actually he does introduce himself as a boy. Lisa asks him his name and he calls himself 'Mikael'. Also the official trailer describes him as male so that was obviously the intention when they made the film.
What’s weird when you’re young like that there’s more freedom in being a boy than being a girl - it’s more adventurous and you can go farther and play longer . I get the allure at that age to be a boy .
I don’t know if they identify as a boy or not or wants to be a girl who has a tomboy look, either way it doesn’t matter, let them be who they are. I’m a girl and I have short hair similar and wear tomboy like clothes, I don’t want to be a boy even though I kind of look like one. Be who you are ❤️
I generally think that she wants to be LIKE a boy but not actually BECOME a boy. She introduced herself as a boy because she wanted to be treated as 'one of the guys' and not be treated differently because she is a girl.
@@sun-drenchedmood look the movie up on wikipedia. it introduces the kid as gender-nonconforming, and mentioned that the writer purposefully wasnt entirely clear about their gender so it would be recognisable both for transgender boys and cis girls/tomboys
I'm a tomboy, I used to wear dresses and play with dolls but stopped, I wanted to like me brothers, so I chose to be a tomboy but people find it hard to accept it, telling me to stop dressing like a boy, put makeup, wear dresses and it's upsetting
Same, except I'm an only child. Most people don't seem to have a problem with it but I've been mostly homeschooled and don't interact with people much so that probably takes a big chunk out of that.
Same, im trans and ppl act very different when i perform my assigned gender to when i sm myself. Its a very hard slap telling you that you are not good
spoiler--- I'm sorry I just watched this movie and I feel like I need to discuss with someone,... do you think that what her mom did was correct? that whole part was sooo humiliating to see, If I had a kid with those characteristics and that had happened to me I wouldn't have known what to do... but taking her to the houses of the kids with a dress on was so humiliating, just imagine Imo..
Hi, Idk if you still want to discuss the movie, but I'll give my opinion anyways. Personally, I don't think what their mother did was correct. You can see how much pain Mikael feels when they are pressured to admit their "real" name is Laure. At this point, it wasn't even necessary and I don't see the positive effect that such measures could have. Sure, once they go to school, things might get more complicated, but in my opinion it would be better as a parent to talk to Mikael, and/or the principal maybe. Of course they're just a kid and cannot yet decide what name to go by for the rest of their life, but in the end I think overall it causes more trouble to force Mikael to be called Laure. What do you think?
no, it was wrong. even if it had to come out in the end, she could've gone to the parents and told them without humiliating her child intentionally like this
It was absolutely wrong, I understand why she was concerned but it broke her child. Absolutely wrong, she could have just kept it a secret but what she did was traumatic for her son
Yeah,in my case ,in school, the teacher will probably be like girl ,sit with girl or girl sit with boy,and everyone will know the biological gender and there like a class list out for everyone to see so..it be more embarrassing but forcing the kid to wake up from a nap and immediately told kid to wear a dress and confess is so traumatizing,I was cringing throughout the scene cause I relate to it but I realize why the mother had to do it, still she should have waited...
I can tell that all the people saying the title is wrong and saying he is a transgender did not actually watch this film. The woman who directed this has made two other films that explore gender and sexual fluidity. When I was a kid, I was a tomboy, and I remember for a moment that I thought I was about because all the kids at school would say I was one. When your a kid, your unsure of who you are. Mikeal didn't start doing things like making a fake penis until she came in contact with the boys. He even felt confused when he was kissed by a girl. This movie is suppose to look into the difference between being a tomboy and being a transgender. Mikeal isn't a TOMBOY, but it's still open to other interpretations.
What do you mean "this movie is supposed to look into the difference between being a tomboy and and being a transgender"?? Not just tomboy, but all genders are made through interactions with other people since gender is about identity, and identities, by definition, are made in a social contexts. There are much misunderstandings about gender in general and trans-gendered people in particular. Despite many lazy "scientific" claims, transgendered people were NOT born transgender, neither were cisgendered people (i.e. female bodied people who see themselves as women and male bodied people who see themselves as men) born with their "correct" gender identities. Mikeal is a tomboy and at this stage of his life he's also a young transgender boy. He may grow up later in his life to identify as a woman, or he may continue identifying as a boy/man.
"When you're a kid you're unsure of who you are". Actually, when you're a kid your experiences form who you are. I don't know anything more than that but your upbringing is part of what makes you the person you become for sure.
i really hated the end of this movie. It was so heartbreaking!!! Watching this movie, I cried more than I cried by watching titanic. Its so said when you cant be who you really are!!
Can we please not invalidate Mikael's decision to identify as male by saying that he was "confused because everyone mistook him as a boy" and just decided to "go along with it"? Mikael made a very conscious decision, and was exploring his gender identity. I think if Mikael was older in the film (like maybe a teenager) and was doing the same thing, everyone would agree he is trans, but because he is so young people are discrediting his actions. Kids have a better grasp of gender than adults given them credit for. Just like gay men and women might have an understanding at a very young age that they are attracted to the same sex (years before they even decide to come out), the same applies to trans folk. Also, in terms of the title, yes it is a bit misleading, but i think it was more of a tongue-in-cheek decision. It feels kinda of like a jab at cisgendered individuals for erasing the gender identity of young trans kids by saying something as invalidating as "oh, she's just as tomboy. it's a phase." In reality some kids who are labeled "tomboy" might one day identify as trans but never felt they could as a child because of their parents imposing a label onto them. Also also, I think the title "Tomboy" is an attempt to make the subject matter of the film a bit more "palatable" for audience members who might be ignorant/disapproving of trans folk.
Kids can’t figure out their gender immediately. The point of the film is that she’s conforming to what others say and she’s trying to figure out if maybe she wants to stay a boy. Hopefully u don’t support children transitioning.
we can do that while also acknowledging that women can be masculine without identifying as a man. butch lesbians aren't exactly "accepted" in society either and sometimes they use he/him pronouns.
In my opinion Laure is a girl who likes playing with boys, dressed kinda like them because she had more afinity with them, shes like part of that type of band (like a bunch of girl in the world). Actually when she met Lisa who speaks first and call him the "new one" (in french it is "le nouveau" which is masculine and different from "la nouvelle" which is feminin), she was identify as a boy since the beginning and i saw her response as "my name's Michael" as a exciting game, like if she was saying "thats funny, lets pretend i'm a boy cause its working and i like it" then the game became more real and the secret took big proportions to keep it. Its was an humiliation for her that everyone discovered her secret more because she was saw as a liar and as a cheater more than being discover as a girl. In my opinion the ending with "my name is Laure" and her cute smile signify that they start again, with no more lies or game only the truth. It was a one time experience, now she IS a girl eventhough she keeps that masculine appearance which is part of her
So many people think she’s trans. If you’re one of those people are you unable to understand the entire concept of the movie? As a female that was a huge tomboy in the past I would wear boys clothing, I’d even go round with my shirt off (before puberty) and I was misgendered multiple times, some of the times I didn’t even correct the people that misgendered me and this was because it was such a drag to always explain that I was a girl. Kinda similar to the protagonist in this movie, although what happened to her definitely didn’t happen to me. I used to like all the things that were stereotypically male and thought I was really cool and wanted to impress the boys so that they’d let me hang out with them and I even cut out certain words from my vocabulary because I believed they were girly words. However, throughout that entire time it never came to me that I may be a boy, I was completely sure of my gender and even felt discomfort when people called me a boy. You CAN be a girl and be extremely tomboyish and not be transgender, it CAN be a phase. People that are assuming that she’s trans are just brainwashed with the idea that just because someone acts like the opposite sex to them it means that they’re trans. Kinda sad really considering I watched this movie years ago in class and no one thought for a second that she was trans but now the world is just so gender orientated that gender is always an issue.
Anonymous to me thats not my definition of trans .Someone who doesnt confine to gender roles isnt trans. Trans people have gender dysphoria when they feel they are in the wrong body, such as myself .I was never a tomboy growing up,but when I developed breasts I hated my body so much. I stoppes wearing dresses so they wouldnt show and now i use folded spkrts bras to flatten my chest. I wouldnt call the kid in the movie trans because she didnt seem to have any discomfort or anything with herself. She was just calling herself Mikael because she wanted to be accepted
When I was a kid some of my mother's friends always thought that I was a boy maybe because of my short haircut and I was very thin. But I was correcting them and telling them that I'm a girl. So it seems that the girl really is acting like a boy because she really want to be a boy.
Guys! I watched the movie before and believe me SHE is not a transgender. Everyone just mistook her for a boy, and she was confused, the first part of the movie (in my perspective) She was dressed as a girl. But she had a new haircut that everyone could easily mistake her as a boy. When she introduced herself she didnt say her gender, only her name. The other kids started to play with her and get close with her, so she got confused and thought that if she was a boy they would accept her.
I've watched the movie too, and he said that his name was "Mikaël" which isn't his birth name, Laure is his birthname, but he didn't say that because he wanted to be seen as a boy.
No , Lisa asked to Laure in french :" Es tu NOUVEAU ? ". That means : "Are you new(new boy)?" In french we said "nouveau" for a boy and "nouvelle" for a girl. Lisa started to identify Laure as a male and did a mistake. Thus, when she asked to Laure what was her name, she answered "Mikael" because, she was confused.
The topic is the desire for social acceptance, even while living under a false impression, and NOT transgender issues. Children want to be accepted by their peers and as Laure, she would have found herself having fewer interactions with the neighborhood kids than she did as Mikael. Being Mikael allowed her the luxury of not being told what she could and could not do. I wasn't so much of a tomboy as a child, nor am I homosexual or transgender now, but as a pre-teen, I WAS mistaken for a boy on numerous occasions based on my looks. And there were times that I rode with that, not correcting anyone, just so that I could go about my day playing and having fun and not being pigeonholed into the "girls don't play baseball, you play softball" stereotypes. "Girls don't do this, girls don't do that, you can't play with us" type of thing. I got sick of it. There was no reason that just because I happened to be a girl that I had to be excluded.
Many years ago, there was a well-reviewed Swedish movie, My Life as a Dog, about a boy growing up. The movie had a tomboy who resisted puberty. The trailer of Tomboy reminded me of it.
was his mother supposed to explain the truth by humiliating him. Isn't it necessary to educate a child whose orientation is obvious from the beginning and to start the process?
I'm a tomboy too and I love myself very much. My young friends, if you are being bullied give them the necessary response and know that nothing is more important than your opinion. life is your life live it as you wish. 💙❤️💛
if you know the movie story then the ending is pretty good to have the kid wants to be accepted so they dress like a boy, because boys have more fun and dont allow girls to participate in the the end the character does introduce themselves as a girl though.
i saw this film 2 years ago but have never seen the trailer until now. i gotta say the trailer itself looked amazing. it really did justice to the film.
I’m not sure if she’s trans or not but I’d just like to say that I was exactly like her in elementary school and I am not transgender. I had clipper cuts, wore boy clothes, took my shirt off in pools sometimes, and only played with boys at recess. When people thought I was a boy I went along with it and sometimes it even turned into a game to see how long I could keep it up. One time a bunch of kids made me prove it by using the boys restroom and I went into a stall and did. When classmates found out I was actually a girl I was disappointed because the game ended not because I wasn’t happy being female. You can still identify as a girl when you like things traditionally liked by boys.
Not the cis people in the comments claiming to know for sure that the movie is not about a trans kid… is not your place to strict the character’s identity💀 the character is supposed to relate to tomboys and trans guys simultaneously, it’s up to interpretation. For me the kid is trans since I saw myself on them and I’m a trans guy who had similar experiences growing up. just let it be free to interpretation damn
Ik this comment is 3 months old but damn you're so right. The cis people down here are literally trying so hard to make it look like Mikael was just a tomboy. This film was my favorite since I was really really young and HOW wasn't it suspicious to my surroundings? I mean everyone around had their fav fairy tale and I loved this film being like 7 years old. Now I'm a closeted transgender. I rewtched the film and felt it differently. The ending somehow broke me tho. It's like saying there's no ecape from being a girl, it had to confuse me when I was younger.
@@tominodrtina Yea, the ending is sad :/ he was forced to live as a girl afterwards and very messed up from the mom’s part overral. Just the way she handled the news. Instead of getting worried about her child’s feelings and understanding why was Mikael doing all that, she was more concerned about what others would think.
@@smoothcriminal6622 yeah, totally discouraging to the trans boys watching that. And if some parents of trans boys watched that too, then it's a total catastrophe. The ending was just messed up. Like Mikael saying his deadname in the end, that hurt so bad.
The BALBOA in San Francisco is playing this for Pride weekend this week. 10 years ago it won the audience award at Frameline for Best Feature Film. I loved it!
I'm so confused by all of you, people. Everyone hates on labels but then again everyone use them. I was a tomboy nearly my whole childhood and occasionally I still enjoy it. I'd always connected better with boys on a playground. You just started playing sports or whatever. It's easier really. And girls can be quite b**chy, by the way. So I totally understand why Laure had gone with it. I can see myself doing the same in her position, if I had a courage to pretend. Why should she be transgender just because of this? Like I said....everyone nowdays likes to search for labels and for difficult reasons. But things can have simple explanations sometimes :-)
Growing up as a tomboy was honestly tough when I got older. They always assumed I like girls or I wanted to be a boy. This is where the gender norms are frustrating.
I had a friend who was a total tomboy growing up. She didn’t look like a boy cuz her face was too feminine and her hair was a bob, but her clothes and mannerisms and interests were super tomboyish. She did slowly outgrow it though once puberty hit and she got interested in boys.
@@roul4842 I'm a tomboy girl who was uncomfortable with my female body. But growing up, I fell in love with a non-masculine man, and I've been more comfortable with how I present myself now.
A tomboy is usually straight this girl is trans, a tomboy is just a girl who generally is involved in activities associated more commonly in boys/males
what im seriously going to love about this movie is not the plot, but the discussions the plot triggers. actually, im probably not even gonna watch the movie, considering i havent gone to a theatre for forever. but while you guys all complain about the arguments, i think its so cool. and interesting.
My friends mother was a cross dresser in her teen years had short hair wore boys clothes and one day she fell for her best friend (he thought she was a dude) so she stopped wearing boys clothes and grew out her hair they got married this is a true story we saw the movie with her and that's when she told us about her teen years and how hard it was to fit in.
I'm a tomboy to but I'm keeping it a secret because all my cousins, aunt and uncle assumed that I'm a girl but secretly I'm a tomboy, one day one of my twin cousin was getting a haircut the other girl was beautiful and the other was just like me with bangs and shaggy hairstyle after that in the past weeks one of them secretly confess to me with "ate" that what they call are you a tomboy??? and I said yes but and then she said "please keep this a secret between you and me I'm a tomboy but I can't tell everyone because they think I would disappointed them and I hope you are not disappoint at me." "I wasn't disappoint at you, you're telling me the truth and I'm telling the truth to but just keep this a secret okay." and that day on we keep talking and talking,i didn't even know one of them was a tomboy and I thought I was the only one but secretly we are 2 tomboy. also please don't judge me I know I'm a tomboy I've been suffering depression and anxiety I know other girls are suffering too the reason why I'm a tomboy it's because of the boy " there was a day I confess to my crush but them he suddenly laugh at me and rejected at me but doesn't mean we are couple I'm just telling him he keep laughing at me and then I felt embarrassed so the only thing I did was cover my self wear a hoodie everyday at school I mean everywhere and he was "hey why are wearing hoodie everyday" and "I said it's non of your business" he was shock hearing me said that word but then he let me go anyways he stopped and the other they just let me go and my life started a new day and then I realise something like "maybe I should get the hang of this" so I start with hoodie and then rubber shoes, clothes and then my hair it's still short but Im using gel after that the last thing I used is mask and then I realise I'm doing some boys stuff and I was kinda happy to do it but when I asked my dad what if I'm a tomboy he said I would never have a kid who is tomboy so now and forever im keeping it secret.
That's not all true. I'm a tomboy but I don't like rock music and I have shoulder length hair. But I hate makeup and I'm always climbing trees and playing rough. There's different types of tomboys. You don't have to look just like a boy to be a tomboy
It is very wrong for you to categorize girls who choose to be masculine in this way. Not every tomboy has all of these features, just as every person in the world is not the same. I ask you to get some awareness and correct this comment.
Brilliant and very satisfying film. The interview with the writer/director, Celine Sciamma on the dvd, describing directing and filming the young actors, is fascinating too. Highly recommend this fine film!
I think it's heartbreaking that in these times as soon as a boy has feminine gestures or a girl is musculine, she is somehow forced to "accept" that he/she is gay/transgender. There was a time a little girl could be a tomboy and grow to be so feminine it would shock others,now?...like no one ever heard of a feminine guy being in love with a girl.
I agree with majority of your comment but I dislike the fact you assumed that tomboys will blossom into feminine girls. I mean.....I still despise makeup and forever will...and when I'm in my womanhood I'll still play with cars and play videogames .-. But I agree with society not accepting feminine straight guys..thats just wrong that they dont
@@pleaselovemeok5906 I read the comment as "Could be a tomboy and grow to be so feminine" I assumed that if they meant that tomboys don't grow into feminine ladies all the time then maybe they should say "Could be a tomboy and might grow out to be so feminine it would shock others"
I don't think you actually know any transgender people or parents, because this is not how it works Aisha. I think you might have it backwards. Gender enforcement is overwhelmingly a product of straight cis culture, the transgender and even straight-cis woke parents I know enable their children to be themselves instead of forcing them to conform to others expectations of their genitals influence on their identity.
My hair was cut like that girls when I was a kid,my school went to play against other schools in football I went to the bathroom and another girl thought I was a boy

I’m a transgender man (I’m almost 30 already) and this film is an absolute representation of my childhood Or rather, only one of my summers from my trance childhood And so my whole life was permeated with a variety of similar behavior and stories and self-perception from 3-4 years old, etc.
I was confused at first but this is the description of the movie: Posing as a boy with the kids in her new community, ten-year-old Laure enjoys playing about as a lad, despite the challenges this sometimes presents. However, the truth cannot remain hidden and the games have to end.
I'm a tomboy and it's so weird when people automatically assume I'm gay. Like wtf? I'm straight as hell. Who came up with that generalization?

People are saying she's transgender. I do not believe this is true. At the end of the movie she identifies herself as a Laure . She only said she's a boy because the boy's she became friend's with assumed she was a boy. She was the new kid and would do anything to fit in. Even pretend she's a boy.
she already acted like a boy before moving there. she didnt do that to fit in there with those kids. she was already like this. at the end she just said her name was laura because Lisa already knew she was a girl and there was no more secrets, but i think she still liked to act like a boy. it doenst necessarily means she was a transgender. it could only mean a girl who likes to act like a boy.
i still don't get what his or her secret is, at all.
GamingwithJamie PW im confused
Galaxy Glitter what did you watch it on
That's why it's called Tomboy -- because she's a tomboy.
But I've never identified as trans.
the main character started packing tho, that’s not something tomboys do
@@helenaww says who? All sorts of people do all sorts of things, and "Mikael" was trying to pass when they went swimming. Disagree with what? Sounds like u have internalised transphobia lmao im sorry boo
You can identify with a character for whatever reason but Mikael is trans.
This was actually a really good movie. And FYI: In Europe, young girls don't wear tops when they swim until they begin to develop.
Here in Greece its the same. Though if you want you can wear a top of course.
I have seen a lot of pre teen girls not wear swim tops (90s) while on holidays in Spain/Northern Africa . More common with mainland europeans . Now a days girls must wear ful swim suits due to school/community pool policies
Yeah but Lisa had a swim top on in the movie so Americans don't get "offended" lol

Amen
He's trans
youre wrong, you clearly didn’t watch the film closely. mikael introduces himself as mikael before any gender assumptions are made by his new friends.
What’s weird when you’re young like that there’s more freedom in being a boy than being a girl - it’s more adventurous and you can go farther and play longer . I get the allure at that age to be a boy .

spoiler--- I'm sorry I just watched this movie and I feel like I need to discuss with someone,... do you think that what her mom did was correct? that whole part was sooo humiliating to see, If I had a kid with those characteristics and that had happened to me I wouldn't have known what to do... but taking her to the houses of the kids with a dress on was so humiliating, just imagine Imo..
Heck, it isn't sure if this person is trangender or not, but it's implied.

Wes Riley damn you wrote alot
we can do that while also acknowledging that women can be masculine without identifying as a man. butch lesbians aren't exactly "accepted" in society either and sometimes they use he/him pronouns.

What's wrong with kids being happy with themselves for once?
It's a movie...

I'm a tomboy, and when I'm with boys, I don't know if it's jealousy or other torturous feelings that make me realize that I am and they are different-
Céline Sciamma one of the best indipendent directors
I'm a trans boy and this relates to me so much 😭

Many years ago, there was a well-reviewed Swedish movie, My Life as a Dog, about a boy growing up. The movie had a tomboy who resisted puberty. The trailer of Tomboy reminded me of it.
was his mother supposed to explain the truth by humiliating him. Isn't it necessary to educate a child whose orientation is obvious from the beginning and to start the process?

if you know the movie story then the ending is pretty good to have the kid wants to be accepted so they dress like a boy, because boys have more fun and dont allow girls to participate in the the end the character does introduce themselves as a girl though.

i saw this film 2 years ago but have never seen the trailer until now. i gotta say the trailer itself looked amazing. it really did justice to the film.

I'm a tomboy and proud of it. I tend to be more friends with guys than girls. Other girls think I'm flirting when I'm not.
My views on tomboys were very negative
But my views changed when I realized that I am crushing on a tomboy
Plot twist.
I'm a tomboy to but I'm keeping it a secret because all my cousins, aunt and uncle assumed that I'm a girl but secretly I'm a tomboy, one day one of my twin cousin was getting a haircut the other girl was beautiful and the other was just like me with bangs
and shaggy hairstyle after that in the past weeks one of them

I'm a tomboy but I can't tell everyone because they think I would disappointed them and I hope you are not disappoint at me." "I wasn't disappoint at you, you're telling me the truth and I'm telling the truth to but just keep this a secret okay."
and that day on we keep talking and talking,i didn't even know one of them was a tomboy and I thought I was the only one but secretly we are 2 tomboy.
also please don't judge me
I know I'm a tomboy I've been suffering depression and anxiety
I know other girls are suffering too
the reason why I'm a tomboy it's because of the boy " there was a day I confess to my crush but them he suddenly laugh at me and
rejected at me but doesn't mean we are couple I'm just telling him
he keep laughing at me and then I felt embarrassed so the only thing
I did was cover my self wear a hoodie everyday at school I mean everywhere and he was "hey why are wearing hoodie everyday"
and "I said it's non of your business" he was shock hearing me said that word but then he let me go anyways he stopped and the other they just let me go and my life started a new day and then
I realise something like "maybe I should get the hang of this" so I start with hoodie and then rubber shoes, clothes and then my hair it's still short but Im using gel after that the last thing I used is mask
and then I realise I'm doing some boys stuff and I was kinda happy to do it but when I asked my dad what if I'm a tomboy he said
I would never have a kid who is tomboy so now and forever im keeping it secret.

What tomboys like:
Rock music
Video games
Playing in mud
Wears a cap
Cut their hair
Sports
Wild animals as pets
Wear boys clothes

@@aWERFRGT6545BGFG The person said COULD but I agree with your statement
@@pleaselovemeok5906 I read the comment as
"Could be a tomboy and grow to be so feminine"
I assumed that if they meant that tomboys don't grow into feminine ladies all the time then maybe they should say "Could be a tomboy and might grow out to be so feminine it would shock others"
Will anyone please tell me the name of this song.
Now we just need the sequel: *Femboy*
Haha
My hair was cut like that girls when I was a kid,my school went to play against other schools in football I went to the bathroom and another girl thought I was a boy
When I was 11 I watched tthis here on youtube. Now I cant seem to find it
+Hungover Dragon and Chill
I love this show. Indeed it has a lot more depth than I expected.
Living as a tomboy does difficult when it comes to young life . Hide and fit in yourself with the male crowd .
I remember seeing this awhile ago and it was very good. I'd forgotten about this one. Definitely going to see it again. I guess I'll always fall into the Tomboy category . Still ride BMX, still love my air time, still love my hair in a hot red plait, never leave home without my ColourStay Red Wine lipstick . . . I wore a white dress a few times but it ended up getting ripped on the back of my seat when I went to jump a kerb lol
I miss my tomboy life before I met my boyfriend Jude. ...
You all are missing the point that she still kissed lisa after the first time they kissed.
Watched this twice and Jeanne is so cute
I’m a transgender man (I’m almost 30 already) and this film is an absolute representation of my childhood
Or rather, only one of my summers from my trance childhood
And so my whole life was permeated with a variety of similar behavior and stories and self-perception from 3-4 years old, etc.
❤
OKAY WHERE CAN I WATCH THIS MOVIE

Anyone know where i could watch this for free?
Es tan tierna esta pelicula me ha facinado la tematica y lo que refleja.
What's wrong with being a tomboy? They seems so comfortable, unlike most girly little girls i know.
Esse filme é top.Vamos quebrar o paradigma do preconceito e saber entender e respeitar o outro,tal qual ele é!
Where I can find the movie in spanish? ( sub spanish) to dowload o something
My fiance and i agreed that we will support our future children in whatever makes them happy. Our children will not suffer like this.
How lucky your children 😭
I was confused at first but this is the description of the movie:
Posing as a boy with the kids in her new community, ten-year-old Laure enjoys playing about as a lad, despite the challenges this sometimes presents. However, the truth cannot remain hidden and the games have to end.
