I usually put my game boy mobos in my 10 lt ultrasonic cleaner after desoldering speakers and quartz oscillators(heard that the 40hz frequency could destroy them). I saw you put them without desoldering anything (this will spare me some time), have you experienced problems or issue when yhe mobos were dried and in operable mode?
How do you measure the amount of distilled water and solution that you put in the cleaner? Just want to make sure I don’t do too much distilled water for the PCBs.
u could use a measuring cup - but I think its suitable to eyeball it. submerging the pcb in pure distilled water is not damaging either so there is no concern there.
True if it’s an ez solder job brush and ipa all day. It’s it while board dirtiness or u soldered a mgbc it’s really effective. And part of it is it feels good to get it really clean!
i was trying to look for a video like this. i had to scroll past at least 200 videos to find this. just letting you know.

@@PizzaHandhelds great information. Thanks for getting back to me so fast.
think about whether a ultra sonic cleaner makes sense if you have to use the brush afterwards anyway

How can you reduce the chances of the Ultrasonic cleaner cracking the Gameboy shell? Are there ideal conditions to reduce this? Thanks!
There’s a chance. But I haven’t heard of any or seen any degradation.
1:30 Louis Rossman says to angle it sideways instead of flat so it can clean under the bga and smd chips. idk what the right way is.
