The reason why people can't find sheet music for this piece is that its actually called "Ardent Declaration" this is an arrangement by Vadim Borisovsky (the original was for piano) up vote this so more people can see, hopefully the poster will change the video title to get rid of this confusion -404
Your beautiful playing makes all us violists aspire to learn this piece! I hope you have continued to perform and would love to hear how you have developed.
Can't agree you more. The viola part in Tchaikovsky's music work is so beautiful, in spite of that the chance for viola to play the main rhythm is not very often, but the part of viola in Tchaikovsky's work may strong express the composer's personality (for example serenade for strings), in my opinion.
I had to stop playing viola in my school orchestra last year for multiple reasons and after seeing this i'm considering rejoining and taking back my 1st chair position :) this is beautiful, you're tone is perfect
The lady playing the viola has very good skills. The range of viola sound is closest to human voice, not too high, not too low. That is why I like it the most.
Natalia Golub and Marina Muravina, thank you so much for the music you play. It's so touched that shake my soul deeply, and arouse my passionate to music again. I can't help but grab my viola and start to play right now!
@@Puishor4ik I have a 17" (43,2) Viola with a wonderful sound but quite too long to play at ease so I understand your feeling. The 16,25 is just great. Hope to listen more to you! Thank you
CAN someone PLEASE tell me where you can find the sheet music for this!! I have looked all over the place for it!!!!! I so want to play this piece of music! @NataliaGolub
I'm very happy to see that this beautiful piece has had so much resonance! It was originally part of the middle section of Tchaikovsky's symphonic poem "Voevoda." He destroyed the score immediately after conducting the world premiere in 1891 - I don't know why he found the work so outrageous, especially in view of the enormous care which he lavished on the scoring - but I tend to speculate that he felt that it exposed his innermost feelings excessively; it contains, to my mind, one of the most explicitly sexual passages in the musical literature, for example ua-cam.com/video/fJqCQ8S7ZvQ/v-deo.html, 5:19-10:45. The title "Passionate Confession" is to be taken quite literally. Tchaikovsky later wrote under this title a more or less truncated version for piano solo - the only part of the orchestral work which he salvaged. The transcription by Borisovsky adds a not inconsiderable amount of counterpoint of its own. His choice of the viola to play most of the melodic lines is very well-taken, as we can witness here.
@@Puishor4ik Thank you for your reply - and for your highly emotional rendition! An interesting recording of Tchaikovsky's original symphonic poem is for instance ua-cam.com/video/EbnygRhypDw/v-deo.html. The music on which the "Aveu passioné" is based starts at 5:03. "The Voyevoda" is actually one of my favorite compositions of all time! You might also be interested in playing my own piece "Kerzenglut" ("Candle Glow") - it's originally for cello and piano, but I believe it can easily be played on the viola an octave higher; see: ua-cam.com/video/nIwRSNIm9tE/v-deo.html. The cellist is Walter-Michael Vollhardt, the pianist Ulrich Furrer. The sheet music can be ordered from jpc.de.
@@Puishor4ik In times of Corona, one can wait a long time for an opportunity to perform. Even without Corona, I'm focusing my attention as a composer much more on recordings on UA-cam. Performances are ephemeral and reach only a small circle of listeners - UA-cam is (at least theoretically) forever and can touch the entire world! So if you can find a congenial pianist and the time to study the piece, I would be THRILLED if you could please record "Kerzenglut"!
Thank you, Natalia Golub and Marina Muravina for your stunning performance of this piece. And for introducing it to us. I have only just discovered it, more than 10 years after it reached UA-cam. It must surely be one of the masterpieces of the Viola repertoire. Is it Tchaikovsky or Borisovsky?. I suspect it's more Borisovsky, who was Professor of Viola at Moscow and miraculously survived Revolution and Stalin's purges until 1972. In his time he wrote or transcribed over 200 works for viola. it's a pity they aren't better known or more widely published.. The British ABRSM have published a version in their Grade 4 -7 album, , but it's not the one played here.
Thank you for your interest! As you mentioned, it’s Borisovsky’s arraignment, but originally written by Tchaikovsky. Please, let me know if you need music score, I’ll be happy to share it :)
@Us3rname404 I still can't find it, it shows up on wiki that it exists and he made that arrangement but there are absolutely no sources online where this can be found

Well there's: www(.)scribd(.)com/document/376251060/borisovsky-viola-pdf
Which has the entire viola part!
It’s been 12 years and they haven’t changed it 😅
Why do I find Viola's tone more vibrant, elegant, exquisite, full of emotion, rich and expressive?
En los graves parece un cello, una hermosura!
Because they ARE😂.
Just like... those first 30 seconds are like "YES, that is why we play viola!!!"
