I just dont know how to smash. My tools dont leave it flat and streach enough... And the wheels come off... what do you use?
Like in the video I use just some small pliers. Make sure that if you close your pliers, you can see only a tiny to no gap on them. Otherwise it cant go completely down to smash the axle.
Brilliant. What size screws do you recommend? I suppose I need to tap the holes too?
No tap required, I use M2 3mm and sometimes 5mm length

I have been using the pipe method for the axle but that's tricky and time consuming. I'm trying this next!!!!
Any advice on if you have drilled half of your rear post off? So the rear is like a half circle. Not sure if it will work now still. This is my first time trying. I was using the wrong drill tip to start.
I think I would just glue it back together in this case
@@themodelcarproject thanks. I think I will do that. If I happen to pass by the store and see this same car again (2020 Shelby gt500), I will just try again. If not, I will glue it down after doing a wheel swap.
@@planetdee3587 I would recommend every time you try something you've never done before to use a test car! I have like 5 test cars on which I test new tools, puttys, primers, paint, etc etc
@@themodelcarproject So though it sucks I may have messed this one up a little (maybe it can still work), I have a fresh one for my collection. And an addition one in my kids collection (which has not yet been destroyed). So this is the 3rd in the house.

What is the name of this specific wheel? The site only gives the names without photos of each one.
Would you happen to know any site that sells plastic tires with different rims? I customize, but also race my cars. Rubber wheels look great but are not effective when racing.
No, actually I dont know any specific shop wich sells plastic wheels. But I think I saw some on ebay, while I was searching for rubber tires.

What are you using as axles? Paperclips?
I usually use the stock pins from the stock hw cars. Check out some of my newest video (like the r35 or supra), I show there a little bit how I did this. Maybe that will help you.

Great quality product but monoblock customer service is horrible. You ask a question or contact them about something you get the rudest responses I get more friendly support from wheel suppliers in Malaysia. Good quality though
