I was searching for this type of video for years and finally I found it. I am just student and I cannot afford mini drill also so it means I just need to buy 1 bit and that's all 😁 thankyou very much bro. I have also watched your all other videos and they were also soo much inspiring to me. Thankyou again and may God bless you.
This has been said already, but after watching just two of your videos I can't thank you enough for the content! This gives me some confidence in a future custom!
Thank you for this tutorial, after watching a number of videos on this subject yours is the most informative, complete, easy to follow, no vain talking head. Just the car, tools, and visual guidance...I seriously could not have asked for a better teacher to learn how to do this, again thank you very much for your time and efforts.
I noticed that some drill bits are either not wide enough, or too big on some vehicle's. I prefer to use screws to reassemble afterward. They look better.
Thanks, I'm remodeling some cars for the Gaslands tabletop, so I needed to know how to carefully remove the chassis for aging, painting and modding. I think I will be using superglue to reconnect, though.
THABK YOU SO MUCH! I'VE LOOKING FOR VIDEOS LIKE THIA BUT NONE OF THEM WERE GOOD, THIS IS AMAZING ITS GONNA HELP ME SO MUCH WHEN I WANT TO CUSTOMIZE MY FIRST HOT WHEEL! THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU EARNED A SUB!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Only thing I would recommend is Dry Lube on the bits & the posts when tapping. There is a heat build up that can cause damage to the chassis (especially plastic), diecast post and the bits themselves. Use the oil it's a cleaner job.
Great video! Question: How come you use the 10 mm bolt to make threads and then the 6mm and not just use the 6mm screw right from the begining and be done?
I’ve just recently tried doing these steps but I feel like I’m doing something wrong. I’ve used the exact same tools and screws. After I drill using the 1.8 mm drill bit, the screws just seem to just go straight down. Meaning it doesn’t screw in or tighten. Any advice will help. Thanks.
Hopefully this works. I have around 10 cars with bent axles and need to fix them. I have around 200 vehicles and have been collecting since I was 4. A decade later, I have A LOT of cars.
I have a couple of HW retro entertainment Deloreans...I'd like to get the rivets off so I can put screws in which would allow me personalisation to swap the chassis on the cars and get in them if I needed to...though I'd like a professional job done on them (not by an amateur like me) if I could pay someone for the work.
I think commenting on your very first video won't be a way to receive an answer. But I think this is a video with best editing you've ever made so I just wanna ask that what software did you use to create those nice graphics and subscriptions?? Hope you will answer! And just want to say that I love your works and please keep doing them!!

The cleanest way to remove rivets I've ever saw!
This has been said already, but after watching just two of your videos I can't thank you enough for the content! This gives me some confidence in a future custom!

Finally someone that explains well!!
Great job!!👍👍👏👏
Thank you and have fun 😊
Best tutorial for beginners.👍
Thank you :)
Finally someone who doesn't just squirt super glue in the rivet holes.
Thanks for this manual, mate 🤗
No problem 👍
Thanks for your video s are so cool
Exelent job Amigo.Thx a Million
Glad it can help 😊
Hey, I guessed your flaming metalflake blue '67 Shelby GT-500 is your test car to opening up the rivets. Thanks a lot!
Excellent video ❤
I use to work as aerospace production and we'd use this technique for removing faulty rivits
I always used JB Weld before but this works better because you can take it back apart later if you want to.
Thanks for the video it would be helpful to my old HotWheels
You are welcome 😊
Very detailed tutorial
Thank you 🙏😊
Ty for showing makes me wanna do it to my hotwheels
Have fun 👍
Thank you for the tips in the video man thank you for sharing from California a huge hello for you
Thank you so much my friend 🙏😊 warms greetings from Jakarta.
Thank you mate. I almost dill the base thanks mate
Thank you sir it was verrry helpfull

Even though it's 2 years old, but still helpful for beginner like me :D
Glad to know that

I wish I could do the same things! I love cars!
Just start to try it my friend 😊 everything is start from our love to cars, about how to do...we can learn ✌️😎
You turned into yoda1!!1!1!11!
Anyone have a good link to the bolts used to finish the car? Thanks.
This is just what i needed to see! Great video
Have fun with your project
Does the 3.5 mil work on hot wheels?
Yes
Very helpful
Thank you 🙏😊
I Really like Watching these videos They inspired me to do custom Hws and could you please do a custom Triumph TR6 or a Honda Civic SI
Have fun with your project 😊
This really helped me
🙏🙏😊

Thank you my friend 🙏😊
Very useful video! Thank you! I was wondering do you use mask while drilling?
Sometimes
They should make them like this from factory. Even if it mean paying the full dollar for one
I guess it wouldn't be safe for kids
Very helpful thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Do you have any videos on how to do a widebody kit and stance and put new wheels on and all that stuff
Not yet my friend, but you can see every process in my custom video.
Hey tolle my rivet ring snapped off when I was trying to take apart the car should I be worried?
Oh, it's okay. If you can't make thread for bolt, you can glue it 😁
Would a 1.5mm drill bit work aswell? (And will the 6mm m2 bolt work on it?)
I'm afraid you can't install M2 bolt if you using 1.5mm. But maybe you can try it
Can i use 3.0 mm hand drill? Because i can not find and hand drill wth 3.5 mm drill bit
3mm is too small. You better use 4mm
At what drilling speed should I put my drill
You can start from the low speed
For step two can't I use a hand drill?
Sure
@@TolleGarage oh ok thanks for replying man
Cool👍👍👍👍
Hey tolle is the 1.8 drill bit the same as 5/64
I don't know...we use mm here
i feel like im doing smth wrong with the manual drill part, ive been twisting for a while but the rivets still remain locked
any idea why?
Maybe you are wrong using the drill bit type. Use drill bit for metal, not for wood.
Only thing I would recommend is Dry Lube on the bits & the posts when tapping. There is a heat build up that can cause damage to the chassis (especially plastic), diecast post and the bits themselves. Use the oil it's a cleaner job.
Thank you for your inputs 😊
Great video! Question: How come you use the 10 mm bolt to make threads and then the 6mm and not just use the 6mm screw right from the begining and be done?
Thank you my friend.
Oh, that is because my 10mm bolt is stronger than my 6mm
Orayt!!,🤘, all videos are awesome, bro, may I ask, what kind of paint do you use?, for the body and details (lamps, etc), Tnx
Thank you my friend 🙏😊
Just aerosol pray paint in can
Hi Sir, if im using 1.5mm OR 2.0mm drill bit, still can use the 6mm bolts right?
I don't think so. You need same drill bit as mine.
It's possible to use 3.0mm drill bit? 2:51
I never tried it, maybe you can try
@@TolleGarage thank
can I manually use 1.8mm drill bit? I dont have a machine like yours.
Sure. Machine just make the process easier.
how you weaken the rivet? Mine just hard to open it
Maybe you're wrong in choosing drill bits. Use a drill bit for metal.
@@TolleGarage But i have the drill bit for metal tho?
I just have the 3.0mm drill bit so can i use it to open the rivet ?
Yes, you can use it

Maybe when you drilled in with 1.8mm, your hand little bit shaky
How'd you make that drill bit screw driver?
I use a 1.8mm drill bit and use a 2mm bolt.
@@TolleGarage To open the bottom of the hot wheels?
Cool !
Thank you 🙏😊
Hey dude, I just only have 3mm electric drill. Can you tell me is it good enough to open the rivet?
I never try it, but I think 3mm works well
Awesome! Thanks a lot!
Thank you 🙏🙏😊
Can i use 2.5 mm bit
I think that's too small
I'm guessing you don't need to tap the holes because the bolt metal is so much harder that the body metal it won't strip the thread.....
Yes right...and because I use 1.8mm drill bit
you probably won't seee this but i was wondering where you got your screws from?
I buy It in hardware store
Tolle Garage ahh do you happen to remember the name?
I have a question, I only have 3mm and 4mm drill bit. Which one from this two drill bits will you choose?
4mm
@@TolleGarage thank you bro
Great tutorial, where do I purchase one of those manual drills?
Thank you Greg. Maybe you can find it on ebay
ini buat ngebor rivet nya pake bor apa y om klo boleh tau, merk dan tipe ny sama mata bor ny
Pake bor biasa aj. Ini dulu blm punya bor, jd pake grinder. Mata bornya pake yg utk logam...saya pakai merk nachi.
@@TolleGarage ok siaap om , matur suwun inpoh nya
Hopefully this works. I have around 10 cars with bent axles and need to fix them. I have around 200 vehicles and have been collecting since I was 4. A decade later, I have A LOT of cars.
I have a new video for you...about wheel swap. I will upload it soon.
Hey tolle is a 9/64 the same as a 3.5 drill bit?
Maybe same
Thnx I was wanting to repair my Chevrolet
It has a dent
Quite new to this. Can this process be also used for Tomica models?
Yes sure
@@TolleGarage Awesome. Thanks!
Are u drilling into it or out of it
What do you mean?
Jadi buat dratnya lgs pakai baut ya. tidak perlu pakai hand tap untuk buat dratnya
It's betul, krna hanya beda 0.2mm sama mata bornya.
Awesome
Thank you
Mas...mau tanya, buat ngedrillnya, rekomen pake grinder mini merk apa ya?sukses selalu dan Terima kasih
Trims bro. Bebas sih bro, saya pakai yg murah aja ryu...kalau ini sebenarnya grinder, krisbow...dulu blm punya bor.
Ooo...pake Ryu.Oke dech..saya coba gugling dulu pricenya.Terima kasih banyak atas infonya mas.
Nice
can you also use an electric drill for the 3.5mm part?
Yes
Niiiiiiiice!!!!!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Can i buy the 2mm bolts at home depot 👀
Maybe.
Can you use rivets again to put the pieces back together? If so, what is the size of the rivet?
I don't know, maybe you can try
what is that screwdriver you using
Plus
4:16 can i use screwdriver instead of a drill?
I don't think so
Where did you get the drill? Can I just use an electric screw driver? Will it be enough to open the rivets? Thanks
Yes you can, It will be more aesy
I need to customise some cars doing this.
Thanks bro
Can we use 1.5mm or 2.0mm for drilling the hole for the bolt?
I think 1.5 is too small, maybe you can try 2mm.
Thx I appreciate it
Thx I appreciate it
What supplies do you use to customize the hot wheels cars
What do you mean with supplies?
@@TolleGarage Like the putty, and the paint, what types
Can you put a link to the bolts
Oh, I bought it at local hardware store...not from online
What drill bit did you use for the locking pole?
1.8mm
Can this work with Tomica? I'm not completely sure about the size of Tomica rivets.
I never try a tomica, but it works with matchbox & majorette.
Finally!!!! Thanks Bro!!
Enjoy!

New subscriber here. Can i ask the name/brand of your hand drill?
Thank you so much 🙏😊 I use Krisbow mini drill.
@@TolleGarage thx for the reply. Kindly upload more helpful tips / guide / tricks on customizing diecast for newbies like me. Much appreciated 🙏
Thank you for your input, yes I will make more tutorial in the future.
@@TolleGarage thank you 🙏 salamat 🙏
Imagine going through that process to unlock your car every day!
Hehe...not everyday, I just do it in my free time.
but what if you had to screw the rivets off the bottom of your real car just to get in! lol
@@crashbeamng201 too much imagination...
