On the Asura.
1.) We know Zoja is coming back to the center stage
2.) If you choose the infinity ball for your invention, in the story it makes alternate time portals. These portals look very similar to portals(rifts) in the trailer.
3.) Asura island only further implements them somehow.
Conclusion, Asura are either directly involved with the Wizard/Tower, or indirectly and are just trying everything they can to gather data on the Tower and it's inhabitants.
For all we know the Wizard may be Asura, but they can change shape/form and appear as a Krytan human and so on.
This is super far out there, but, what if Snaff didn't truly die in the fight with Kral. What if Snaff is the Wizard.😎

@@hk015 Hmmm 🤔 these theories would really tie Asura back into the fold. I'm not sure about the snaff thing but the rest is pretty great stuff! I would love to see more Asura involvement!
I always liked the idea that Menzie and Bal were a duo set of twin gods like Lyssa is a pair of twins the second twin some times referred to as just Lyss. The seem to also be doing some secret lore with Bal and Lyssa to.
Yeah we definitely still have the mystery between what happened between Balthy and Lyssa. Maybe they will touch on that this expansion.
Regarding Evennia: In fairly recent lore of "Someone in Need" achievement books, it is revealed that The Mesmer Collective existed around her time and became a major asset in assisting The Shining Blade. Burying the truth behind King's death not being an orchestrated plan of the Mursaat but an emergency response due to their identity and existence being exposed by the missing orrian counterpart relic of Mirror of Lissa; Veil of Ilya.
It's possible Evennia disappearance might be revised as well in the future as a member of the Mesmer Collective, which E might also be a member of, his rank being higher than Kas as for the reason behind his identity's secrecy.
Their origins might tie in with members of the mysterious Order who expelled and later hunted Velun way back in GW1.
That's actually sounds like the most solid theory/connection we could have Even is and it makes a lot of sense! This would be really cool!
Now i'm wondering about the connection between the two towers...I know I'll burn my brain out on this! SO MUCH STUFF!!!
I suppose if the one tower can just disappear/teleport (Kessex Hills one) it wouldn't be too crazy to think the other did as well. Maybe they are used for portable stations or outposts? One was stationed in Ascalon, the other in Krysta but perhaps there are more like them out there. Hopefully, this next month goes by fast cause I want to know too! 🤣
I still belive that Utopia as title might be in future implemented in mini expansion.
A lot of the concepts for Utopia are really freaking cool, so I would certainly be not opposed to it!
Maybe the Asura Island is related to that one cat fractal, which is also in the sky but we never learn anything about.

We do know it's related to the greater FoTM storyline, because Dessa needs to take a moment when she apparently recognises the uncategorised fractal.
Further suggestion is an achievement from The Dreamer collection where you deliver a letter from that fractal's chest to Dessa, which saddens her.
We can time Dessa's existence some time within recognising her colleagues in the Thaumanova Reactor fractal but apparently before knowing about Sylvari ("are those.. tree-people?").
Arkk recognises Scarlet, but it's unknown whether he learned that from within the fractals or he met/knew her before becoming part of fractals themselves.
Are you going to talk about Starfield? Todd Howard of Bethesda has said that Freelancer was a big inspiration to the game.
Definitely a big one I'm considering. I think I'll be a doing a playthrough of it after I finish up Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
I honestly wasn't at all convinced that the demonic figure could be Menzies at first, because why would GW2 return to human god lore? Especially so soon after the elder dragon saga? But the more people theorise about it, the more I could see it happening; his attempted conquest of Tyria makes sense in context if his desire to be a "God" is true.
Prior to their exodus, the Six (or just Balthazar) were the primary forces keeping Menzies in submission. He was clearly weaker than a true God, and it showed. After they left, he took control of the Fissure of Woe, but was still no match for the Elder Dragons who we also know to be beings that rival the Gods in power- especially Kralkatorrik, who was literally devouring bits of said fissure of woe at that time. It's actually sort of hilarious that Menzies was just that helpless to stop it. But now that both these parties are gone (and Aurene is asleep), he can finally make his move and take their apex position in Tyria's magical ecosystem. If he's also the one behind the longstanding happenings at Gyala Delve, then it means he's been stocking up on power behind the scenes for a long time.
Yeah this actually makes a lot of sense tbh. I could definitely see him be involved. I just hope he doesn't get the Joko treatment where he gets killed off super quickly and was just added because he was a fan favorite. But we will have to see how they spin this tale.

Abaddon, being god of secrets, knew about the kriptids. He was going to raise his own demon army of magic wielding Magronites. Razah, being the last thing of Abaddon, should desire to fight them. That be cool lol
Nice theory! I mean if we are going to involve Menzies who is tied to both the gods and Abaddon specifically in this case, I could totally see all those things connecting in some way. E is definitely strange enigma and if it turns out to be Evennia than I will be pleasantly surprised!

I think it is likely we get something about menzies, abbadon was the god of secrets. We haven't had a god of secrets since and something tells me this expac has something to do with secrets.
Perhaps, although Kormir took his place and became the goddess of truth. Not much is known about how the god powers and influences work and Balthy's spot is still open so perhaps Menzies will try to take that.
I really hope that they dont copy the crystal tower from final fantasy 14. For those of you who dont mind to get spoilered:
The crystal tower in ff14 is basically a shared coordinate between different worlds, parallel universes and alternate timelines. A really powerful mage uses the tower in order to travel through several worlds and timelines in order to tell the player that shit is going south in another world (which is connected to our own world, so we must save it in order for our world not to die with it bla bla).
Im pretty sure the wizard's tower will either take is into space or into the mist.
I mean honestly this sounds very plausible as to how this will work? But anything could be possible. We still don't know exactly how we will be facing the Kryptis and such but the tower seems to be a key part in it. So it might really be like the crystal tower. We will have to wait and see though how the rifts work and so on as well.
Just realized the symbols look like the classes/elite spec symbols O_O
Hmmm 🤔 which ones in particular are you out talking about? I looked through and besides maybe Tempest, not many stood out to me.

Could be but she is part of the Priory and they focus on all of Tyria. She doesn't seems particularly invested in specifically Krytan stuff.
@@Aerali true, but as powerful a mesmer as she is, I do believe she may also be apart of the Mesmer Collective. The Mesmer Collective has an interest in keeping the world safe but have a very strong focus in Kryta. I believe they helped the Shining Blade establish their presence and purpose in Kryta. Possibly even taught them the magic that binds them to secrecy. Because the Mesmer Collective is also sworn by secrecy. In fact they are so elusive there is only one member besides potentially Kas that you get to interact with in game as part of a hidden achievement.
@@Snipedout209 I think that's a great theory overall. Ela would make for a great member and we don't know how expansive the collective really is so it's definitely a possibility!

@@player554 Well, Marjory does say we don't know E's gender. Deep voice could've just been something that was made to sound deep because of magic or something. And I know LA is in Kryta but E seems super involved with human politics and stuff. Idk how Evon would fit that I guess. It's still a possibility though.
